1	How do I be interesting? Thanks for the suggestions. I'm definitely going to start making a mental list of different topics and try and think about how math works its way into it. Some things I've thought of, I recently saw the end of the Bachelor Pad, the last couple was faced with a classic prisoner's dilemma problem. I'm pretty sure at least some of the girls would of seen that episode Group theory and Rubik's cubes, I've been able to solve 7x7x7. Not sure how this one would go over. 1	How do I be interesting? I think this is exactly what I needed :) I've been thinking about different topics and trying to incorporate some higher levels of applied math into it while trying to keep it easy to understand, I'm a tutor so it's sort of my job to keep material 'dumb'. 1	How do I be interesting? If someone asked me, "Why is the square root of 2 irrational?" I could totally go with it and tell them, that is quite different from, "Math is hard." Might suggest stop thinking about women as targets instead of people with feelings and unique talents of their own. 1	How do I be interesting? I've been practicing with the girls that do my hair, trying to steer the conversation and always asking questions, but it always seems to lead to "So what are you majoring in?" and that leads to "Mathematics and Statistics" I haven't really figured out a good answer to that. I also know that they tend to feel intimidated when I mention that, which is another reason why I try to avoid it.
