I'm a doc in training. Heightened levels of serotonin are what is thought to cause the sexual side effects of SSRIs. If these issues arise patients are typically switched to an NDRI, such as bupropion, instead of an SSRI/SNRI. I say if you're still having issues with Zoloft after your studies ask your physician about it. Hopefully an NDRI will work as well for your mood symptoms, and make sure to taper slowly off the Zoloft.
