more like they have never been taught critical thinking in stressful situations I don't remember being "taught" how to "think critically" in stressful situations either. I'm pretty sure most people weren't taught either. It's more like that some people have to deal with stressful situations often and some people don't (say very rich or spoiled), so some people learn how to and some don't.
