1st thanks for the well thought out reply. Setting aside the fact that Tom Brady is a raging douchenozzle who sucks chodes for fun, this analogy doesn't really work. Being an expert on explaining something and being an expert on doing something are two different things. There's a lot of overlap, but there are plenty of talented people in this world who are unable to explain their process and teach their skill to someone else, for any number of reasons. You said it yourself there is a lot of over…

Like I said to another poster you don't get to change my analogy. If you want to discuss my analogy I would be glad to. If you want to make your own, you should probably make a new post.

Who are you to decide what someone's goal should be. You don't have the right to tell someone they can't strive to be the best at something.

But the best coaches are almost always ex players. Also Who is to say that a great player can't also teach. Lastly Brady wasn't always the "best" he started off as a 6th round pick and worked his way up to starter/super bowl champion. So yes i think I guy who struggled and dealt with adversity and overcame it would be an excellent person to get advice from. Do you not concede that point?

It makes perfect sense to me.

First off, your analogy doesn't make a lick of sense. I'm really trying to rack my brain why the media-outsider is suddenly the woman. Why is the opponent not the women? Or anyone else? That is the problem everytime the analogy is made. Someone will say it doesn't make sense because a woman wants to be caught. Or in this case a women also enjoy NSA hook ups so why would they play defense. Thats is why I didn't use it.

I was once what you would consider a nice guy. I did it because that is how I was told was the best way to get a gf. I was told to be friendly and helpful. Even though I did that I never could get a girl to have any real interest in me. That is when I guess I became a "nice guy." I got frustrated because even though I was following the rules of being a good person I received none of the rewards. Worse then that people got angry at me for being disappointed at the ineffectiveness of the advice.

Thats a really good way to put it thanks. I will be rereading this reply in the coming days to help focus myself and make my decision. If you don't mind I have a few more thoughts below and would like to hear your input. And yet you think she is special enough that you want her back for the long haul let me explain this part. There are certain things we might not like but they are fairly consistent. Men like fit young women. Women are disgusted by weakness. So yes in that regard she is like all …

I think she is like all women. I was having a bad couple of months and went full on bitch mode, women aren't going to stay around for that. I've gotten myself out of that dark spot and I know how to better handle a similar situation if I find myself in it in the future. Women want a rock, if I need to depend on someone I got my friends for that.

It ended badly with her the first time? Please elaborate. But honestly regardless of how it ended with her you should never really get back into an LTR with an ex. She had her shot with you, and (I assume) she blew it. That's it. Game over. Plate status. Make her realize what she missed out on, and make her regret it. I was acting way to beta and indecisive and it pushed her away. I had just heard about TRP and attempted to use dread game with the subtlety of an atomic bomb. This made her want t…

Maybe a little late to the party but in my experiences BP are unnecessarily obtuse. I made the innocuous statement that on average women have an easier time finding casual sex partners then men. They asked for a source.

Nah man I am super dark, and I have the phrase black people are scary no less then 10 times. Also being in Asia many people assume I'm African, and no one likes Africans. SO my game has to be even tighter.

People are actually really sympathetic in this situations. I don't see a problem with this. Hell my little cousin, a young black kid, was caught stealing food for his younger brothers and sisters. When they caught him they felt so bad for him the actually gave him more food. People don't like to see kids suffer

Dude I wouldn't worry there are a lot of asian girls out there. I'm black as well and I love asian girls. Every girl I have dated has been asian, also most of the girls I hook up with are asian, and thats before I actually moved to Asia. I found my chances aren't as good as my super handsome white friends but I can still do pretty good. I think the most important thing is not taking the rejection too personally. If your a quality dude they'll be the one missing out.

Yeah, as a black guy in Asia, I don't have much luck online. Although I have only really used tinder. I have had at least 10 asian girls tell me IRL that at first they were really scared of me and they only talked to me because they were afraid I would get upset if they didn't.

I agree with you, but IIRC the reason there was a change from land ownership to all white males was due to veteran's complaining after the war of 1812.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/06/14 12:53 AM

If I'm not mistaken whites males who didn't own property couldn't vote in most parts of the country until after the war of 1812. So even in America there was a precedent for the common man to have to earn the right to vote by being willing to die for their country.

Because anyone can stumble into sex or a relationship once in a blue moon. TRP teaches you a more direct approach to creating and maintaining attraction. Edit- I was nice/respectful for a long time and I had almost zero success once I started being more of an asshole, for lack of a better term, the frequency and quality of the girls I got increased dramatically. If women responded more often to me being sweet nice and respectful I would do that. But in my experience they don't.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/14 04:09 PM
1

Yes on occasion but mostly no. Women go over after attractive guys nice is usually pretty low on the list of priorities. follow-up question--when you were personally being nice and respectable, did you date or sleep with any women? Sometimes I would stumble into a hook up but most have come from being a bit cocky and pushing boundaries a bit.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/06/14 03:55 PM

I was told girls liked nice guys who are respectable so I expected women to date guys who were nice and treated them with respect.

(is that so wrong? Honestly, I would like to know your opinion.) No it wasn't her fault. I decided to stay around when I wasn't happy with the situation. Did you get back with her, after your change/realization? (If not, how do you know for sure that it was because you were "too nice", (to paraphrase), did she say as much? I think she was just saying that attraction is nuanced. And not a magical equation. Then she could have easily phrased it as such. See you have a different opinion then me but your still cordial that is all I ask, because I try to be cordial as well. That you're essentially subbing old rules for new rules and getting upset when you do all the magic tips and nothing happens as expected. The old rules didn't work. I tried with different types of girls.Nice wholesome girls, girls with a wild streak, girls who I meet and tried to be friends with first. I know now the reason I never succeeded is because I wasn't a whole person so I came off as very needy, especially when I tried to be nice. But when my female friends/ family would give me advice it was always just to keep being nice and don't change. What they should of told me was that I needed to change. I'm not a white male from the suburbs so I won't speak on their behalf. I don't think most people are entitled but they do have desires. Many men desire to find a partner. I can only assume this quote was meant as sarcasm. Weirdly, you seem to think that there is a civil, perfectly reasonable way to suggest that a woman owes you something for courting her "the right way" and if she doesn't pay up with vagina, she's a bad person and you have a right to be upset. It is not demeaning to women. I expect people's actions to follow their words. This is the same standard I hold men to as well. None of this has anything to do with being laid, except when Nice Guys™ whine that being decent didn't get them sex. That is entitlement. I assume this is an unpopular opinion around here but I don't believe in divorce, except in cases of abuse, mental, physical, or sexual. The vow is to death do you part. If your not serious about that then there is no point in getting married. If you file for divorce you don't deserve anything because you broke the vow. If the man files for divorce on the other hand I think it he should have to pay, because he is breaking his vow.

I had a longer reply but it accidentally got deleted. Here is the cliff notes version. Every "nice guy" isn't a disingenuous person like every BPer would love to believe. Yes most nice guys don't put enough effort into being attractive, and a lot of them don't know how to. A douchbag isn't any guy but me, it is actually guys who treat her poorly. From my experience, it's not the real nice guys who are vilified, its the creepy stalkers who think just because they paid someone a compliment or did one good deed that they are owed sex. This right here is the issue. This is why when a lot of men take the red pill they are upset, bitter, and often times go through a phase where they are misogynistic. What? This is ridiculous. There is a difference between someone who is a self made wealthy person and someone who had their wealth handed to them. It is not hypocritical because to get where you are it actually required work and effort, not just being born in an advantageous situation. It takes actual skill for guys to get laid. In general men are the pursuers so they are praised more when they get a lot of partners because it takes more effort. And TRP understands that some women might consider a high partner count a deal breaker. They just deal with it because they know it was their decision to sleep around. So they do take responsibility for their actions.

What you're doing sounds a lot like moralising, and ineffective moralising to boot. Under the rules sh1v puts forward a woman has only 3 options: Don't have premarital sex. Have premarital sex but lie about it. he never said don't have premarital sex. His statement is first only for women who want to settle down. You are sure of what your feelings and intentions are for women, but you can only observe women's behavior. What makes you think things are any different from women's perspectives? I didn't claim that a women's love is more fleeting, I also think people who claim so have misinterpreted the source material. I just think the way they love is different. I think my idea of responsibility didn't come across as clear as I wanted it to. For example if your out and someone starts shooting, would you cover and protect your SO or would she cover and protect you? When it comes to the sense of obligation to provide I think that is more strongly felt by men. That's why men are more likely to feel inadequate if there spouse makes more money then they do because the thirst to provide has generally been a large part of male identity.

Absolutely we want to protect the ones we love, but I don't think that's a gender specific thing. I don't think that the desire to protect your partner is a male-only trait ingrained in the way they love - I'd think almost everyone would want to protect their loved ones. Okay I did a quick google run. I don't expect this quick sear…

Given the anecdotal nature of the gathered information and the fact that it's subject to bias, perhaps the word "stereotype" is a better descriptor of what TRP really does. A stereotype is a learned assumption based on casual observation. The way I see it, a stereotype is merely a generalization based on anecdotal evidence. Based on your definition of the difference between generalizations and stereotypes the example, "Asians are good at math" is a generalization and not a stereotype because it …

Yeah It is stereotyping. I wouldn't disagree with you there. I just think it is important to talk about what TRP actually stands for so that the dialogue can be beneficial for all parties. "Women cannot love." Isn't a red pill position but due to the above being misquoted it is constantly used as an example of TRP being misogynistic. "Women are utterly incapable of loving a man in the way that a man expects to be loved." This is the actually position, but it is not nearly as negative as everyone…

Nah I get where your coming from. A lot of people look at things from the perspective of a zero sum game. I don't think that modern feminism is that great but I do understand it's importance in a historical context and that it was necessary. Just like TRP can also have some positive points and isn't instantly anti-women. There are some things I don't agree with but it can be very helpful in navigating interpersonal relationships.

This isn't the quote. I think it makes the position that TRP has on the issue more antagonistic then it needs to be.

I think the only difference between a stereotype and a generalization is how they make you feel. I think people assume any stereotype that is negative is automatically untrue. I think every group earns their stereotypes. For example I am a young black men and fairly large. I know when I go out there will be some people who will look at me and think I am in a gang or up to no good. I know that stereotype is out there. But I would be dishonest if I said I don't understand why some people would fee…

Thanks for your post. I think you made a lot of good points, but their are a few things that I would like to touch on. I said this was an ideal. So a lot of people won't be able to reach it. I think people who have absent or bad parents suffer when they move into romantic realms. I believe that's why we have people with "daddy," and "mommy," issues. When people have had bad childhoods it cana color the way the behave in romantic relationships. Would you say this is accurate? Sounds like you're insecure because people have reacted negatively to your attempts to open up in the past. Rather than trying to understand the woman who is approached by him and turned off by his nervous smile and faded t shirt. This is why women's advice is usually worthless. It doesn't have to be it can be subtle. I had a girl freak out on me because she asked me what I wanted to do in the future. I was honest with her and told her I don't know yet. I feel like I can't find something that I have a passion for. She later used that as ammo against me in a fight. Women remember and even if they don't immediately burn you alot of times they will. Well at least in my experience.

However, I think this has more to do with influences of other men and of culture in general than of their SO and how their SO actually reacts to a show of vulnerability. Once a man swallows the redpill it ceases to be inadequate. It is only inadequate when compared to an ideal that is almost unattainable. Like becoming a rockstar. I might not never become John Mayer but I still enjoy being able to play a few of my favorite songs. It doesn't have to be ideal to be appreciated or enough. Okay then you are what we call a naturals. TRP likes to help guys who aren't natural. So please reread my question again. What you actually needed is irrelevant to the thought experiment. If you had no success getting sales from your customers you stated yourself that you would go to the sales expert. SO why is it difficult to see that men going to the experts, other men, over women makes more sense?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/14 04:23 AM

If you don't your treating her like an object, and that's not fair. But we at TRP are the crazy ones for trying to give guys actual effective advice.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/01/14 04:17 AM

Also if listening to what women said and doing was actually effective we would literally eradicate the moaning of frustrated guys and the friend zone. That is why they get bitter. They do exactly what the girl says she wants and gets nowhere. How can women still sit with a straight face and say they give good advice?

At first I just thought women were the worst because I couldn't trust them to be loyal to me. But RP taught me if you are doing what your suppose to do she will remain loyal. So the reason there was a lack of loyalty was because I was lacking in my role. That forced me to look inward and see where I was wrong. I am more understanding. Why should a women stay with me if I'm not providing what she needs. That was my biggest issue because trust and loyalty are two very important things to me.

What's you're basis for saying this? In the age of agriculture, women HAD to go after good providers. It was the only way they could acquire resources. However by no means has that been proven to be an innate characteristic of women. What we do know for sure is that men and women, when given freedom and resources, both pursue the almost the same exact traits in their mates. The differences in the qualities we look for (other than the obvious physical qualities such as male/female body shape) are…

I think that depends on the guy's individual preference. Some guys are in it to bed a lot of women, so they don't care if a girl is getting around because they don't want to have a LTR any way. People come to the red pill looking for different things. There are not many RPers who are trying to save the world. They see how it is and are deciding what they want to do with their own life. For some that is banging chicks and for others it is trying to lock down a LTR.

You say you should not marry out of fear but love but you are indirectly advocating for marrying out of fear. "YOU BETTER MARRY NOW OR ELSE NO ONE WILL WAN"T YOUR CRUSTY ASS." No that is what you think I am advocating. I have seen many articles and meet many women in my own life who have been with good men who would be great husbands. I think this difference is due more to what we find important. Looks and youth are important because they send signs of fertility to a mans brain. So from that perspective it is more pragmatic to go with the younger more attractive women. Women historically wanted a man who could be a good provider. So for them it is more pragmatic to find a less attractive men who will provide for her and her offspring. They are both going after what they have always historically gone after. That doesn't make a…

If there is a subset of red pill thought that diverges radically enough to justify it's own sub-movement The sub movements are there. Women slut shame each other way more then men do. Also men and women want different things. In general a man wants to a marry a woman who is chaste. A man and a woman sleeping around is not the same. For a man to do it he has to demonstrate high value. Just being attractive and available is not enough. And no it is not a double standard it is 2 different standards. I gave you the names already. They are written above. If you are looking for the christian approach to redpill you can go to dalrock. If you want to spin plates roosh. If you are looking for LTR or Marriage game look at rationale male or Married Men Sex Life, If your focus is from the female perspective look at redpill women. If you want to go your own way there are spaces for that as well. These are all different subsets that start from red pill philosophy.

It is not my responsibility to control other people's actions. If a girl doesn't want to have sex she can say no. She doesn't have to do anything. She is choosing to sleep with someone. These girls were going to sleep around any way. TRP isn't renting ad space to tell girls to slut it up. TRP is a reaction to the situation we have. We didn't make women promiscuous.

There are clearly defined boundaries in each red pill subset as well. They might have some overlap but that doesn't mean they are all the same. Just like feminism has the same overreaching goal of equality between the sexes, however they have subsets that are looking for different outcomes. In a perfect world, yes. But we don't live in a perfect world. That is why you see a lot of older women writing arguments about the lack of good men. Good men are still in abundant supply but, those men will usually take a younger women to commit to. Also I don't think you should marry out of fear but out of love.

If women really cared about pragmatism they would marry young. Guys like young nubile women. Everyone knows that. That would be the most pragmatic thing to do. But people aren't as pragmatic as we like to believe. We are horrible inconsistent.

I think a lot of red pill guys would be happy to find a non promiscuous girl and be with her only. But in our current society there are not that many. So they play with the hand society has dealt. RP isn't about making things "fair." It is about looking at the current climate and doing what would make you happy. So since there aren't many good girls out there a lot of guys will have fun with easy girls until they find their unicorn.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/12/13 02:21 AM

Okay then by your logic all feminist are the same, and I can brand anyone in the group by the most extreme opinions because there are not clearly defined boundaries between feminist and radfems. They all say they want equality for men and women so they must all be exactly the same.

there are many subsets of redpill thinking. One could be a MGTOW, could be about spinning plates, could be looking for a wife, could be looking at it from a christian perspective, could be a woman looking for a RP man, could be a gay man looking for help in his love life. There are some overlap in ideas but not each one of these is the same thing.

Yes there are always exceptions. When I and other members of TRP speak we speak in generalities. I don't Normally preface my statements with talk of exceptions because it is implied. It shouldn't be that way if the man is credible. I don't want my future wife to work. I want to marry a woman who's dream is to be a housewife and mother. I will work and provide for the family. I don't think anyone at the RP has gone so far as to say women aren't human. We are fundamentally different. Here is how I see it, men and women are like members of a sports team. For this example let's use American football. The man is the quarterback, and women are the running backs. So partner B can unilaterally decide that partner A has a sexless relationship? You can't have it both ways. If B doesn't want to have sex that is fine, but the should"t stop partner A from fulfilling that need. Like I said before I do agree that opening up the relationship will end poorly. But I don't think it is far that B can now sleep with other people when B is the source of the problem.

would argue it is. If the partner who now has a low libido used to have a high libido, there seems to be a change that needs to be addressed - is that partner now more stressed, had a change to medication, working longer hours, etc? Those things would (hopefully) cause a shift in expectations and reality. It could also be a reflection of other issues in the relationship that should be addressed, and if the "solution" is to have sex, you haven't fixed anything. On medical issue I agree with you. …

There are a lot of replies in this thread so maybe it got overlooked, but I put medical issues in a separate category. If someone can't have sex b/c of medical reasons, and yes I count depression as a medical illness, then you should be supportive and help your partner get through that illness. I personally wouldn't cheat because I believe in the meaning of the wedding vows and think they should be upheld for better or for worse. But, I do like to play devil's advocate. Isn't your spouse withholding sex also selfish? I mean PIV isn't the only type of intimacy a couple can share. By denying you sex isn't your spouse cheating you. I doubt having a dead bedroom was something you looked forward to when you took your vows.

That is my personal believe. I think once you are married you both belong to each other, and you both should do everything within your power to make the other person happy. Their needs are now your needs because you have become one. You wouldn't neglect your own needs so it is selfish to do that to your spouse. I know it is an antiquated idea in today's society but it is what I believe.

Like I said, to me the main thing would be my kids. That would be the thing that worried me the most. Its not only the final custody decision that a man has to worry about. A woman can go to the family court and say she feels threatened and then you can't see your kids. People can be petty and vindictive so it is something that as a man you think about before deciding to file for a divorce.

It doesn't have to be full on sex but oral, or some heavy petting, something. I think not doing so is selfish. I believe that once you are married it isn't always about what you want, and how you feel. I thin…

Yup this is why me and my ex split. She wanted to have girls night out all the time. When I said, "hey i like to go out, lets go together." Then she told me it was only her and the girls. So I just went and chilled with my boys. When I found out her girls were women cheating on their husbands, I told her this isn't going to work for me. That is when she let me know that no other people are there too. It isn't just the girls. So please let her go. I told her this is what single girls do. Your act…

I believe a man should. If what society wants is true equality between the sexes then it is necessary to give everyone the same options. A woman can legally give up her parental rights at any stage of the pregnancy and even after. A man has no say in the matter. I think this is unfair.

Do what makes you happy. Take what works for you. I don't agree with everything on the redpill. I doubt anyone does. It is okay to make your own decisions. My personal opinion is I doubt the relationship will last. Before you all down vote me please hear me out. You said you don't feel worthy to kiss her shoes. That is not a healthy place to enter into a relationship from. That lack of confidence will seep through and make you act insecure. Insecure behavior can quickly destroy a relationship. I…

I used to be in that stage as well, honestly I think a lot of guys go through it. In my case I wasn't made at all girls just mad at my ex for how she treated me. As I started reading and learning more, I realised that I was the one making mistakes. I can't be bitter at nature. I can't get mad at water for being wet. I was disappointed in my self. Now I use that knowledge to become the best me I can. I am no longer bitter but I have improved a lot.

My favorite part is that women still find something to complain about. "Your boss can be a woman too!!!!!" I hate when people assume men are intimidated by a successful or smart women. We are not intimidated, just not interested. My aunt raised me, and she is a great example of the type of woman I am looking for. Her main priority was her husband and us kids. Nothing came before that. She was nurturing and took pride in being the best wife and mother she could be. In order to be successful it ta…

Again you have no idea how many woman want to or don't want to fuck me. You just assume I am a neck beard virgin and no woman wants to fuck me. You extrapolated this from a very general response I had to the topic of double standards. That is a personal attack. A woman can get laid just because she has a vagina. Most men aren't getting laid just because they have a dick. Okay lets look at it from this angle. Both parties are interested in each other. As a man if I went up to a women and said, "h…

I'm not talking about personal messages sent on a dating site. I am not talking about relationships. I am talking about sex. If a women decides I want to go out and have sex with a random. The chances of that being successful is extremely high. There is no way you can convince me that is not true.

I don't care. Women can do whatever they want. They just have to understand that there are consequences to their actions. So if someone wants to slut it up it is there right to. It is also societies right to view those actions negatively.

What you are speaking of is called an exception. An exception does not invalidate a rule. There is a big difference between a woman who "can't " get laid and a guy who can't get laid. When a guy can't get laid he has no options. When a woman can't get laid she doesn't like the options she has. There is a difference in those two scenarios. Do I also need to provide evidence that the earth rotates around the sun? This is common knowledge that is easily observable in any group where men and women i…

There are exceptions to every rule. That is why I focused on a more general approach. It is the only way to advance the dialogue. Yes there are some guys who get tons of girls based only on their pretty face, but that is not the norm for most guys. The examples I gave were just average people. Not male super model versus unattractive woman. Even if a woman is unattractive she will still have man who are willing to have sex with her because she has a vagina. They might not be proud of it or brag …

If you think that women have a harder time convincing men to sleep with them then men have convincing women to sleep with them there is no point in continuing this discussion. It is not going to go anywhere. You are either being intentional dishonest or live in a world that is completely different then the world inhabited by 99.9% of the population. In general women can get laid easier then man is a statement of fact. Sorry I don't have "studies," to back it up. Do I need a study to convince you…

I didn't deem it necessary to give my personal opinion on judging. In general I think judging is a good thing. If you make dumb decisions you should be shamed. Then maybe you want make a dumb decision in the future. I think we are to concerned about hurting people's feelings. I think truth should trump how a person feels. If you want to feel better, be better. Not everyone is special and needs to be congratulated for every thing they do. Now do I personally care who a girl has had sex with? No. …

I'm not saying judging is good or bad. I am just saying that people will judge. People judging people is the reality we live in. I choose to take reality on reality's terms. I can't force the world to not judge me. The world we judge my actions whether I like it or not. I can't make people stop judging me because it hurts my feelings. I have two options. Toughen up, or change my actions.

I explained why. Women have more guys offering them sex. That allows them to be more selective in who they choose to have sex with. Therefore in order to be chosen by a woman a man has to stand out. I don't know the exact reason men have lower standards for the women they have sex with. Maybe they are just happy to have sex. I don't think we need a scientific study to agree on something that is easily observable, especially in the United States. I meant to write less males, that was a typo. Wome…

First I did answer your question. Please reread my third paragraph. I explain why men have to do more work to get sex. There are more males in the U.S. but women have more viable options when it comes to sexual partners. Most women can call almost any single male friend over for sex and he would come over. Most guys don't have that same luxury. Why do you think women work equally as hard to get sex?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/13 05:59 AM

I personally don't think so, but it gets a lot of flack when it is brought up in that sub so I wanted to tackle the issue from another perspective.
/r/TheRedPill09/10/13 05:46 AM
2

If an average girl ask 10 guys at a bar, "hey do you want to have sex?" Most guys would take her up on that offer. In most cases she wouldn't need to do anything besides be available for sex. If an average man did the same thing he would be shot down by the majority of women. Do they want sex? Possibly, but not just from anyone. They have more options so they are more selective. So in order to get a women as a man you have to be able to show high value. What constitues value is different for eve…

Third, equal sexuality. If a man has sex, good for him; if a woman has sex, good for her. Saying a woman is bad because of how many guys she fucks is like saying a man is bad because of how many women he fucks. Honestly I'm OK with slut shaming - people have the right to disrespect other people's choices - as long as men and women are shamed equally. It's the double standard that gets me. > quoted text The double standard for sex will always be there. Being a man who gets a lot of girls take wor…

I don't condone sexual assault on anyone. The guys should have had more self control. However what she did was dumb and it invited this behavior. When I was younger black girls payed me zero attention because I wasn't an athlete or running in the streets. I was constantly made fun of because I spoke "white." Also all the black girls who didn't like hood guys only wanted white dudes. So I wasn't white or black enough. SO I started dating outside my race and I haven't looked back. This is so true. My ex just told me she wanted to break up because I made her FEEL like an evil person because I was upset that she was acting selfish.
