Because a) its shows ydgaf if you cant see if someone has read your message or not ( like who cares ) and b) you can read others messages without them knowing. I resolved this by acknowledging that getting a formal education is not what i want long term but until my side hustle / passion is profitable i am going to keep at it. Work hard at school enough to get good grades but start working on what you are really interested in as well. If you have discipline problems they can be cured by setting goals and deadlines.

The dude he's talking about is doing this 100%. It is impossible for one person to receive that much attention (unless he is the boss or something etc) especially in a group of friends.
