But back to the MF fixing, they had a blink-and-you'll-miss-it thing where its revealed that Rey was left on Jakku in the hands of Unkar Plett (the guy who was dealing out the rations) as a young girl. 2	Mary Sue Awakens Spoiler Alert The thing that I find interesting is that, while I do agree with OP that she is too "powerful", shes a much more well written female character than OP is giving them credit for. The first time I saw the movie, I was frustrated with the character because I thought of her as a Mary Sue. On subsequent viewings though, my complaints were reduced.
