Based on the timeline that you gave in your post. Do you think you need to have a DNA test of your daughter?

You should not be surprised if she suddenly decides that she wants to try reconciliation. The grass was not greener when she got there. She has shown you who she really is.

Leave it alone, there is nothing you can do about it. Unless the kids are in danger and even then it takes a miracle for the courts to do anything.

She was trying to get you out of the house to use that as leverage. Check in your state. But if ok, start recording your interactions with her. You do not want her filing a false police report to try and get you out of the house that way. See a lawyer ASAP.

That was my initial thoughts. She thought it would always be the new relationship energy with AP and it’s just not there now, she’s beginning to second guess her actions.

The more you can detach from her the better it is for you. I know it is hard with children. But, always trying to read into her actions will drive you crazy and stunt your healing. The more you are able to rebuild your life, the better you will feel and the less power she will have over you. Giving her head space is giving her power over you.

That was my thought. Either that or the friends will magically have one of their other friends show up. He seems afraid to ask the hard questions and do the necessary evidence searching.

She only wants to reset because reality is not as she imagined. She destroyed your family and turned your daughters against you, let her rot.

People do not realize how much social media and divorced friends influence divorce decisions. After 32 years my wife decided I was not good enough and that she had missed out on the single life. 3 years later, I am retiring early and traveling to visit grandchildren. Meanwhile she is working to support the manchild that she meet and asking our kids to help broker her return to my life.

Don’t leave the house. Contact a lawyer ASAP and explain what is happening. Work with them to formulate a plan. This is the beginning of the end game with her.

Do as the lawyer tells you. You are paying them to represent your interests. It is only uncontested now because your soon to be ex-wife hasn’t had time to talk to people. Once people begin advising her, it will turn into a contested divorce. Right now she’s in a hurry to get on with the divorce so she can enjoy her new life.

That was the feeling I received from the wife’s actions too.

The children will end up being in her way of true love. They will end up spending the time their mother has them either with dad or a family member of moms.

This is the kind of question you want to ask your lawyer. There are certain guidelines for slander and harassment. But those vary by state and municipality.

Do not deal directly with her. Have a lawyer handle this.

The trips had nothing to do with it. Neither did losing your job. She probably already had the other guy waiting. I used to think that people are exaggerating on Reddit when they said that if a woman leaves without any warning that there was another man involved. But the more I read these posts, I truly have begun to believe that is an accurate assessment.

I would go scorched earth with the therapist.

However, you decide to handle this. The most important thing is that you’re honest with your child. Don’t lie to them. All that will do is cause future problems for you. Children remember what they’re told by their parents especially when it concerns an issue of this magnitude in their life. If you’re not sure what to say, talk to a psychologist or a therapist to get an age-appropriate acceptable comment.

Do not lie to the child. They remember that. Contact a therapist and get him counseling. It is not your job to repair the relationship that she destroyed.

Nice friends you have. They should be Ex friends for knowing and not telling.

Why would you do any chores for her. She’s the one who destroyed the marriage and the family. Unless it involves your children, I wouldn’t do anything for her. Let her learn to fend for herself. She wanted this, now she needs to live with the consequences of it.

That was my thoughts when I read the post.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
