Separate comment now that other folks have opened my eyes a bit and I've thought more about what it is you're actually asking. No idea how far your musical tastes branch out, but check out these albums if you're looking for something non-whiny, with a bit of lyrical meaning. Face to Face - Don't Turn Away Bouncing Souls - Anchors Aweigh Strike Anywhere - Change is a Sound Cro-Mags - Before the Quarrel If you want heavy stuff to tune out and lift heavy to: The Sword - any album Metallica - Kill '…

Another good point and one I did not consider when I made my initial comment. I've done the same thing - reflect back on music differently since discovering MRP, that is. For example, I like Lucero a lot, but damn if some of the lyrics aren't exactly the opposite of my thought pattern these days. I did not consider this before MRP.

Fair. My initial reaction may have been too harsh. I've also observed that much of the value in posts here are in the comments themselves. However, when compared with the other posts in MRP, this really isn't one that's going to provide much value other than some good music to listen to at the gym. Just my two cents. Gonna go listen to some Darius Rucker now.

Sure, no harm in that at all. It's just...if you've spent any time reading this sub, why would you think this is the place to ask this question?

What the fuck is this, really? What is "alpha music"? Jesus christ, this post makes me cringe.

Others have given you great advice, but it seems you're not getting it and are quite possibly in denial. Having someone on MRP tell you what to say, how to respond, how to joke around, how to not appear butthurt...is missing the point entirely, as you'd just be mimicking some shit that some stranger on the internet told you to do in a situation that only YOU truly know the details of. Get to the point where you don't actually feel butthurt. This sub is dedicated to helping you achieve that, but …

I needed reminded of this today. Been struggling this week to make the hard right decision, today it was waking up early. In fact, as I was getting ready for work I told myself that I needed to cut that shit out. Then I read your post. Consistency is key, or else it's too easy to fall back into the same simple, lazy patterns.

Second this. I've listened to most all of them and much of his podcast content resonates closely with MRP principals. Getting stuff done, taking ownership, showing accountability, etc. If you haven't listened to it and are reading this, do yourself a favor and check it out. Very much worth it.

This is a lot of effort for a troll.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
