If it's ok to pretend to be straight to avoid oppression then it's ok to pretend to be gay to avoid oppression but I've only seen heterophobia online and it isn't a problem in my life

My girl best friend said men don't deserve a day but on womens day invited me to an event that she got in free because of lol. The former I was speechless, the second I didn't really care but I pointed out that they'd never do that for men. No hate btw but that first thing was weird to say. The point is how normalised it is to casually say stuff like that

I hope they don't ban VPNs. That will stop British people from accessing the mental health and addiction support that the OSA blocks...

What does masculinity do for men? It's just a tool to control us
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates17/10/25 01:04 PM

That's a bad example because those glasses wouldn't even help you. If they would it'd be descriminatory to only allow people with bad eyesight to improve their eyesight however that would be justified if there was a shortage
/r/PurplePillDebate20/09/25 01:53 PM

If you're not legally allowed to descriminate based on protected characteristics that means you can't legally descriminate based on protected characteristics Tackling descimination obviously isn't inherently descriminstory but if your method is descriminatory then it is descriminstory... It's literally called positive descrimination because they descriminate And yes disabled parking spaces are obviously descriminatory since they descriminate between abled and disabled people but the tiny inconve…

Make all laws gender neutral with no mention of men or women except for ones that establish gender and sex (as well as the others) as protected characteristics that you're not allowed to descriminate based on in relation to employment and such Do you seriously think that descrimination is the best way to stop descrimination?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 01:25 PM

Why not fix the problem instead of still having the same problem except this time it's your fault (descrimination)
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/25 03:37 AM

That's because they have complex needs, whereas disposable boys don't

Ironic then that you're so quick to justify intentionally misgendering someone. Anyway how on Earth is what he did at all transphobic?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:33 PM
3

So you support descrimination then or are you just against peaceful protest?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:27 PM

If she's actually trans then same but from what I've heard he's just a man protesting the stupid law by exploiting a loophole to highlight that and gain the accompanying benefits
/r/PurplePillDebate03/09/25 06:17 PM
6

From what I've heard he's protesting the sexist law by changing his legal gender not actually transitioning in any way

In an agrarian society having a kid starts to pay off after just a few years but in a post industrial one it could take 22 years and if women have entered the workforce childcare has to be considered as well More choice does tend to decrease the number of children women have but it's not that simple because the same societies that provide sex education and equal rights tend to be set up so many can't even afford any children and the choice of having 8 kids isn't there for most people
/r/PurplePillDebate01/09/25 04:35 PM
2

No hate but isn't this a settled fact rather than just a hypothesis? Still worth discussing but I was taught it in geography as fact that developed nations with sex education and womens rights have declining birth rates due to those factors (other opportunities, children become a more expensive investment, knowledge and ability to prevent, etc)

If you say that they just deflect by saying there should be no conscription, or that it wouldn't be safe (no shit, although I agree more should be done to stop any harrassment). The crazier ones say women give birth as if that's equivalent and yet they're obviously against a "reproductive draft" which would actually make it comparible
/r/MensRights28/08/25 10:20 PM
2

Well said bro
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/25 02:27 PM

Fair enough
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 05:55 PM

Same applies to expecting sex on the first date. He's free to be disappointed if it doesn't happen and not want a second date because of it Happy cake day
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 02:10 PM

Why should it be the man paying specifically? If paying half each is too platonic then the person who asked the other out should pay
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/25 02:36 AM
6

Having sex and paying aren't equivalent but expecting either based on gender is the same logically (expecting to get something out of it). Expecting sex is worse because it's a bigger thing. Paying shouldn't be gendered though, whoever asked the other out should pay because it's their idea. Even if that's mostly men then it's only gendered because asking out is gendered not because paying is

My comment got removed because this is a question for women, sorry for missing that. Now I'm safely out of top level comments I'll put my advice below but bear in mind I'm a man: Having female friends fulfils some of the desire to just interact with women and friends in general help stop you from getting lonely. If you crave deep connection try to make a deep friendship Not saying it's easy but that's what does/should help

Appendectomy on a healthy appendix without consent would definitely be abuse yes. If the foreskin is full of puss and going to kill you then removing it isn't abuse but that's not a thing
/r/MensRights25/06/25 12:55 PM

Amputation of limbs is also a medical procedure. Regardless of the importance of the body part, removing parts of peoples bodies without consent or medical necessity is wrong

I don't even know when it happened because I didn't get notified other than for the flat earth one. I just got reccomended a post one day and saw I couldn't comment cus I was banned

My point is that the abuse is the only problem. The gender roles aren't the problem in and of themselves
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates19/06/25 10:22 AM

If I know someone's a man I might assume some things like he's probably not into girly things and that assumption is fine and usually accurate and thus useful, I just have to not be a dick when the assumption is wrong When I said the same expectations regardless of gender I basically just mean they have to be a good person
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/06/25 11:08 PM
10

It would be better if people just didn't care whether you act like your gender or not. I jave the same expectations and standards regardless and no-one deserves special rights or responsibilities
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates18/06/25 10:38 PM

If any women are shallow enough to use this I'm better off without them. Saves us the job of narrowing it down.
/r/MensRights02/06/25 10:04 PM

I agree with that yes. We just can't make the same 'mistake' as feminism and become anti-woman
/r/MensRights26/05/25 03:45 PM

If there's a serious enough war, men won't get the choice. You have the choice to just not get pregnant or have an abortion through many means

A guy in Australia was doused in petrol and burned by his female 'friend' after making a sexist joke. Women were celebrating it and she only got 7 years prison (basically for attempted murder)
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 09:42 PM

Transphobia is generally based on misandry. Feminists seem to be split between liking trans women cus they're women and hating them cus they think they're men

They're not even real liberals. Maybe neoliberals lol
/r/LeftWingMaleAdvocates23/05/25 09:37 PM

You have the freedom to do that yes but it won't achieve any good for men or women and will make the mens rights movement look bad while morally being wrong in most people's opinions. Edit: If you're talking about places where women have extra unequal rights at mens' expense that's different
/r/MensRights23/05/25 06:17 PM

I said you don't have to advocate for women as long as you don't advocate against them, properly defining my position on this

You don't have to go round supporting equality for women just don't support rolling it back or push men's rights in the wrong way and you're still acting in the interest of men.
/r/MensRights23/05/25 12:19 PM

As a normal person I'm against both misogyny and misandry. When I see sexist comments I either challenge them or check that enough people already have.

Idk what exactly you mean by redpill. I just support equal equality and identified that women already have everyone advocating for them so it makes sense to be more involved with helping men (there's no major men's rights organisations afaik) Feminists and MRAs both claim to be about equality for both sexes, and while there's sexist twats on both sides as well as normal people feminism has all the power to treat men poorly while men don't tend to look out for eachother in that way

I legit got called an incel for using someone's correct and preferred pronouns once because that makes me a stalker for looking at their profile It doesn't mean anything most of the time as an insult and honestly should be replaced by something better for describing the misogynist incels because the problem is the misogyny not the involuntary celibacy

These women are infantilising foreign women as well which if theyre feminists, is even more hypocritical than not support equality for men

Make sure you look into the negatives of homeschooling to get a balanced view not just the positives. He might be protected from misandry and brainwashing growing up (which is a good thing) but the sheltering from the real world and disconnect from "normal" people means it's very difficult to ever fit in with people or develop good social skills, even if you go to groups every day

/r/MensRights16/04/25 02:20 AM

I wanted to uninstal Instagram but I've got some friends I only contact there The solution is to uninstall but use the browser version on mobile to message them. It works to send messages but it's subtly annoying and you won't end up scrolling through reels much so it's easy not to get addicted

There's too much hate against men but it really sounds like the algorithm of targeted hateful content is getting to you and you'll likely feel much better if you uninstall Instagram. Instagram is the worst fucking app and uninstalling it myself helped me a lot. Hating women due to certain women making generalisations is in itself a generalisation and thus hypocritical if you don't also see that as a problem. It's ok to have a problem there you just have to work on a solution

I'm not targeting any sex and when the victim first seeks help isn't the time to introduce them to people more likely to distress them (through no fault of their own) Gay people should either have their own shelters or there should be enough mixed ones (which should still exist without getting rid of segregated ones) so that they can go there PS. sexuality itself isn't relevent it's based on who they were victimised by

Hating rapists and murderers is OK, being wary of strangers who might be those is OK, but hating people for what some other people did based purely on the fact that they happen to have balls is fucking ridiculous and deluded, not to mention sexist, and if they're feminists - incredibly hypocritical

In the UK when we were banning homosexuality Queen Victoria refused to sign it if it also banned lesbians because she didn't believe that women would do such a thing. This doesn't reflect badly on women, and is actually a good thing because its just less suffering but it does prove your point that gay men are and were treated worse than the women Edit: this appears to just be a myth

Whether this is good or bad news depends entirely on whether boys have improved (good) or girls gave fallen behind (bad). If boys have got ahead it should be celebrated and is sexist and wrong to try to reverse it If girls have fallen behind then it is a problem that should be fixed and it's not sexist to try to do so (unless the methods are)

I feel like being a strong man in control of his emotions means you're able to react rationally during emergencies instead of panicking, fix the problem, and then you let out the emotions later by crying or your wife comforts you. So men delay their emotional response to support women, then women support them in return after the fact I might be making shit up here though, I don't have much experience

Child Genital Mutilation sounds worse than Circumcision which I appreciate is why you used the term but if they cut more than just the foreskin that would still fit in the first category and not the second. I should've known though since you said it's not a crime
