At this point I think we'll just continue to bounce back and forth on the same points. We're probably starting from different assumptions about the world. But I did quickly search "bible verses women" and this was near the top of the openbible.info page that came up: Let a woman learn quietly with all submissiveness. I do not permit a woman to teach or to exercise authority over a man; rather, she is to remain quiet. For Adam was formed first, then Eve; and Adam was not deceived, but the woman w…

Ah, so you're final point tells me we are misunderstanding each other. There is a difference between saying we live in a patriarchy (as in the majority of power is held by men) and saying men are the problem. I'm not saying that all men are the problem, just that we don't have enough diversity in positions of power. That wouldn't take anything away from men, it would actually help our society by having a better understanding of the struggles or community had in our power structures. I also don't…

My issue with the long response isn't that there are many facets to to his argument (there totally are), but because the video frames his argument as if it's the final word, since he doesn't let her respond to his arguments. Yes there is asymmetry between the plight of different people. However, that ignores that the people making decisions for large groups of people (governments, corporations, etc.) are rarely women, and so their struggles aren't addressed the same way as those experienced by t…

This is an awful argument and exactly what I expect from Jordan Peterson. She makes an initial point then he spends way longer responding and barely let's her get a word in edgewise. The fact is that women are only recently clawing their way into positions of power. Few world leaders are women, and way less the further back in history you go. Many religions have way more restrictions on women than men, and many current cultural trends still have an outsized toll for women.

I saw it tonight and thought it was fantastic. Definitely cheesy, but that's the same thing I love about the Marvel movies. Plot was pretty solid, they did some good work what would usually be a Mary Sue character, and I felt like these were real people interacting and trying to understand each other.. And of course it's going to have female empowerment tones, it's Charlie's Angels. And that doesn't take anything away from the well done male characters. Honestly, this comment section seems like …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
