What makes that bar so special?

The alpha male does not disappear when you are 30. He becomes your boss / CEO. It's just a slightly more refined version of the younger alpha male.

Ah, that's fine then - just try to keep your energy high and be upbeat. That matters more than anything. Think puppy dog.

http://i.imgur.com/84ErYej.jpg Really bad picture man. The smile looks kind of forced. Do you ever wear contacts? I'd give that a shot. Also, it's just a boring picture. Your backdrop is a room with white walls and nothing else.

Eh, I'd consider myself a 6/10 at best, and I do very well on Tinder whenever I make any effort. With that said, I have some good profile pictures from traveling that probably help quite a bit.

I think not buying at all comes off a bit weird. I think a good balance is buying the first round/closing the tab. Walk to another bar. "You want to get this round?"

For most things it's not too late. However, there are some real windows of opportunity in life where it becomes impossible, or at least VERY difficult to change. Want to be a doctor? Well, if you're 40 years old, you're not going to get out of medical school and start making real money until almost age 50, and you'll have 500k of debt or whatever. Is that worth it for 20 years of career? Investment banking? Try to get in if you're not in a premiere school and just graduating. I'm in my mid 30's …

Dude, you're 6'4, around 3 standard deviations past normal, putting you in the top 1% of people for height. Go take advantage and stop complaining.

Fun fun fun. Focus on that and story telling. You got this.

Are you actually ugly? Quick fixes that can be made: Are you overweight? Fix this ASAP Bad haircut? Find a good barber/stylist and fix asap Bad skin? Get to the dermatologist Bad dresser? Clothes too baggy or gaudy? Honestly though, women just love INTERESTING people, and passionate people. Learn to tell stories and try to keep your energy level up. More than anything you want to be fun, especially in college environments. If you can't be high energy and aggressive, bars will be terrible for you…

I'm always surprised how often people will chat me up at a bar if I'm alone. They key though is you need to get a seat so when they come up to get a drink, or sit down, the conversation is easy. If it's standing room only forget it. I'm 5'9 and average looking at best. Maybe a 6/10.

I simply take her hand and lead her to the bedroom. Usually we start on the couch and she will just follow behind me. No words need to be spoken.

Ah that's not too bad then. I'm 5'9, and the ones that are 5'2 and demand 6'0+ are the ones that drive me crazy.

Women care more about your overall potential than your present state. If you were living at home, unemployed, no degree, and not doing anything, that's a different story. I was unemployed for about a year recently and slept with 2 of the hottest women I've ever been with .

Honestly, my go to line these days is simply, "Want to hang out at my place for a while?" I'm at the point where I pretty much know if the vibe is there or not. If not, I usually just wait until the next date when I feel things are right.

Not the answer you want to hear, but start looking at places other than clubs. You can obviously get better at bars, but why not just use table selection (poker term) and meet people in places where your odds are way better and you have less competition?

Traveling has given me a lot of stories to bond with people over. Anything that makes you appear more worldly helps. Keep in mind though, HOW you say things and the energy level you maintain really matters more. Having great content just makes it that much easier to be excited and passionate.

One of my friends was a virgin until age 24, and now has probably slept with 50+ women. Have hope, and be realistic about what you need to fix. Fat? Get in shape. Dress like crap? Buy some clothes that fit you properly. Boring? Do interesting things.

You have a lot of time on your hands, and some funding. Why not experiment with some small startup / web type companies? It's something you can do from home, in a wheelchair When people ask what you are doing, you can give a clear answer. They don't have to know how early or successful you are in the process.

This. Women already have a huge playbook of men lined up, and are constantly scouting for replacements when they feel things aren't going well.

My best advice: Start organizing events of things that you want to do as a leader. Invite people you enjoy being around. If you keep doing this people will eventually end up calling on you to see what's going on. Some ideas for easy hobbies to meet people (on meetup or otherwise): hiking photography rock climbing adult sports leagues, even silly ones (kickball, dodgeball, bocce ball, bags) Most of my friends have admittedly come from work or former roommates, though.

That's basically what I've been doing - trying to get to the core of their jokes and just sort of playing along with it, but I find it tough to do.

I don't care about control at all - I just want to be PART of the conversation and that energy, but I find like I don't know how to "contribute" to it since noone is really saying anything. It's just a bunch of like random crap spewing out of people's mouths. I wish I could describe this better. This has nothing to do with wanting to be old/mature, since as stated, I ALSO want a more playful/fun/lighthearted conversation, but some people take it so far that it's just so different to me that I ha…

I've always gone with #3 - "my friends left a little bit ago but I didn't want to end the night so early"

I'd say it's definitely higher effort than other forms, but you can def get some rewards out of it. I'd think of it as another channel to meet people, but I wouldn't want to consider it my primary one. People can be way too picky and superficial up front. I'm not a particularly handsome man, so I'd much rather sell myself in person where I can be funny and interesting.

It can vary a LOT by how much you want to splurge. I spent around $6k over 3 months, but you could probably easily do it for 4-5k. I did about 1/2 hostels ($6-8 a night) and 1/2 guest house ($12ish a night). The more you bounce between cities, the more expensive it is, since each train or bus ticket is $15-$40. Also, most big activities are expensive. Diving costs ~ $300. Rock climbing is like $30. Boat trips are $10-$20. Halong bay cruises are $100-$200.

How aggressive were you in the messaging of that? Seems like there's a fine line between sounding attractive/dominant and creepy/scary. Would be awesome if you could post a few sample messages.

Did you do any a/b testing on your messages and respsonses to see which worked best? How did you keep the cost down for so many dates/meetups, or did most of these just end up coming directly to your place sans-date?

I'd skip clubs and aim for smaller neighborhood bars when going solo. I'd also aim for places where I could sit at the bar or possibly have games to play.

Did you keep any stats on those 100 approaches? It would be really interesting to see what worked, what didn't, etc. Even a simple spreadsheet with like, where you approached, time of day, what "opener" you used, what % gave you their number, of those what % went on a date, etc. Of the 100, how many dates did you get? Please tell me it's not just the one from halloween.

Just understand that ultimate change is about actions, and not statements. Start talking to women everywhere. That alone will change your world. Understand that NOONE in life gives a shit how your life turns out, except maybe your mother. You are on your own.

I've been in that situation for a long time. On top of it, I have zero approach anxiety, and help my group me a lot of new women. Sadly, my better looking friends end up with them 99% of the time.

It's a perfectly good line, but too apologetic/weak in my opinion. That said, it's probably something I would do.

It absolutely will make things harder, and anyone that says otherwise is delusional. That said, it's nothing you can control, so just come to terms with the fact that you'll have to approach more women in the numbers game. You already know the answer to this - work on your own personality and awesomeness. You can continue to gripe about your height, but it won't change a thing. Women will continue to prefer tall men, at least as long as we are alive. You need to sell them on being interesting, p…

I'd try starting really small by just smiling and saying hello to people. If you are at a bar ordering a drink, just come up with a standard comment you make to women near you. ("Who do you think he'll serve first?", etc).

If you're using an iPhone, turn off iMessage. Apple is known to be super flakey with their services and these will go undelivered often.

Looks matter - but it's the other way around. You don't have to be a 9/10, but being below a certain level of attractiveness will definitely hurt your chances. A good way to prove anything is by looking at extremes: Would an extremely confident, interesting, and passionate guy who is 500lbs get tons of women? The answer is still no. I'm not quite sure what the minimum cutoff is, but it's probably somewhere around 5/10.
/r/seduction31/08/13 06:06 AM

Only slightly related, but what do you look like? Are you short & skinny? Overweight? It may be worth investing in the gym. As shallow as it sounds, it can end up earning you some respect. Honestly, this particular guy just sounds terrible, and probably is not an example of most people you have met in life. Feel free to msg me with any questions.
/r/seduction24/08/13 05:01 PM

Seems like too much. I'd maybe just throw on a lightweight linen blazer if you want to dress up, but a suit is probably overkill and most people would feel uncomfortable in one.

A few thoughts: You need to be able to tell when people truly are messing with you, and when they are teasing in a manner that they would do with ALL of their friends. I find that once I'm in a defensive mood even innocent comments can appear to be malicious. IMO, the most important thing to do is to not be an outsider. When there are groups gathering, sit with them, not by yourself. When conversations are happening, join the group. Almost all people I've seen abused like this tend to lie outsid…

I think something like "You know why." is a much better answer. It leaves some mystery in the air still, and doesn't put her too much on a pedestal.

It's hard once the pattern is established. I think body language has a lot to do with it - if you come off as weak people jump at the opportunity to look tough. You definitely have to decide if it's just usual guy bonding or if you are actually a target, though. Some people can't tell the difference, as it can be quite subtle. I was recently traveling and saw this one guy constantly made fun of behind his back. When he was around, people would still tease him a bit but make it seem like he was p…

Someone wrote this recently (I forget where), but I thought it made a lot of sense. Be persistent until you can tell she's uncomfortable. Creepy is when people continue to push despite seeing how she's reacting. Up until that point, you're probably fine. Just read body language.

Got me. I've said yes to around 200+ girls probably and only one has matched with me. I'm pretty sure you have to be fairly good looking to get any kind of response on there. (I'm probably a 5 or 6/10).

Honestly, a lot of women are boring, or at least make no effort to be interesting. I really don't want to generalize/stereotype, but because men are the pursuers, it seems we are also the entertainers. I'd suggest joining hobbies your'e interested in where women are also involved. Photography, sports, etc are all good ideas.

But if a female friend came across your picture first, wouldn't they know you were on Tinder? (they wouldn't know if you were interested or not, but they would know you have the app)

Thanks. BTW, does this make any kind of announcement on your FB wall that you are using it? I'd like to do this anonymously as possible. I don't mind it grabbing my pictures from FB, but I don't want all my current FB friends to see what I'm doing.

I recently was laid off my job, and have tons of time during the day. Any suggestions for day-gaming venues to meet people? (Most are at work, so it's a bit quieter at most places.) The weather is amazing at the moment, so maybe some outdoor options would be good.

I'm 5'9, and a few women I've approached, even in my late 20's and early 30's, have just quickly told me to "Get lost, you're too short". I don't mind people saying we won't be compatible because of their preference, but the rude tone of it is what bothers me. That, and 5'9 isn't even that short!!! I actually have had several women tell me they think 6'0 is average. While it might be in other countries, only maybe 15% of guys in the US are that height.
