Okay friend. you can clearly articulate yourself in a polite and non aggressive way. You’re doing it with me right now. Do the exact same thing with your partner.. write it out and set boundaries with him. It’ll be good you’re already super good at it!! Don’t be afraid you’ve got this. Sorry if I was mean. I’m bored and taking my anger out on you.

Look I understand that you’re looking for advice. But this should be more obvious to you. Don’t be with someone that belittles you like that. Get it together.

I thought I was undateable due to self confidence issues. I thought I wouldn't have the chance to date. I thought of marriage as a huge social contract of obligation and not at all about love. I didn't know a lot of people in loving marriages in their 40s/50s. So I felt pretty hopeless. I would tell anyone that would listen that marriage is a social construct and is unsustainable. Then I went to college. I started to date, I learned that the boys were just as confused as I was. I learned that th…

I’m a feminist. But feminism shouldn’t play a role in my marriage. Cause we’re a two person team.

Hey, I know this might sound counterintuitive but if you can get a simple part time job I think you should do it. Just get some outside time. Additionally some extra self care would be good too. Currently you’re making it all about him and I think it’s feeling like too much.

Hi Tepid, I’m going to give you some big sister advice. It sounds to me like you’re in a highly anxious state right now. The last couple of posts indicate to me that you’re having a small crisis over growing up and becoming a “woman”. I want you to know that anxiety is common at 15 and it’s normal to assuage it by trying to read and do research. However, I would highly recommend finding an in person confidant to map out these anxieties with you and find solutions and measurable actions you can t…

It’s good that you’re not low value but now you need to start believing it! Btw, if this is your SO’s circle of friends you shouldn’t need miss bitchy’s approval. Just start being friends with everyone else. She’ll eventually come around. I recommended taking to your partner about this because maybe he can offer simple solutions like speaking to certain people over others. Also, it’s important for him to let people know that you’re his plus one to social gatherings. This shouldn’t be something t…

I’m going to get downvoted to hell but I’m curious.. Does anyone think that maybe OP is too submissive and it’s socially weird to people that her presumably high value boyfriend would choose her over more confident, sexy and successful women? Here is my opinion OP. Maybe you need to talk to your man and ask him if your social skills are lacking somewhere? To me high value men generally want partners that can keep up with their social circles.

I’ve see girls I grew up with limit themselves looking for men with more family money and status than they had. The excuse always comes down to “i want to maintain my lifestyle after I get married”. Presumably because the girls parents don’t fund her lifestyle after she’s married in my culture. This has literally lead to some really high quality women in my life choosing wealth over a family and love. It makes me really sad. I chose love. My family isn’t as wealthy as the families I grew up arou…

Okay, I think at this point the best thing to do is embrace this new home. Maybe you’ll learn to really love it. If you feel that it’s too unfinished to have your baby while there maybe you can have your baby in your home town? Maybe with your parents and husband around. Then you could move to the house when it is finished.

I’m going to go against the consensus and say that you have the right to have this conversation with him. Not to push him, but to state your needs directly to him. You can only get engaged when both of you want to.

Hey girl, I’m in a long distance relationship as well. I think the most important thing is to keep yourself as busy as possible. I’m still learning this. For us that means... learning about politics, learning new skills, learning about personal finance. This would be in addition to my job. Essentially I work on things that pertain to our future. Of course don’t forget to work to build relationships with the people around you at the moment.

It's not what you were looking for but I'm going to talk about the difference between when I was 18 and now at 23. I was very much an innocent 18 year old. People treated me very well but there was a lot of unsolicited advice and guidance given to me. I was well spoken and came across as smart. But it was "smart for 18". Men didn't really approach me because I don't think I exuded self confidence of like sexuality. People would come to me with relationship issues all the time, even though I had …

I met my boyfriend on Okcupid. First message: “ I know you’re a griffindor but I’m a slytherin, can we still talk?” Now two years later we’re still in a very stable long term relationship. There are ups and downs and distance between us. But also there are trips and the year me lived together, the small time adventures and a shared life. I could not be more grateful!

Hi. From what I understand of your situation some couples therapy might do you both some good. You need a healthy way to discuss the things you are dissatisfied about. If therapy is not an option maybe a friend or advisor can help.

You’re right. It doesn’t usually go down well if I call them on their crap. I’ve decided to lovingly be there for them and subtly nudge them in the right direction. Eventually when the dust settles I think they’ll find good men. I just have to trust in that.

No I completely understand what you’re saying. These are my girls I grew up with. They just need some guidance that’s all. They’re all pretty low n count like in the 1/0 range and they’re all high value by RPW standards. I’m just confused about why they don’t realize this themselves. Why are they willing to be used emotionally/making out /dating wise with non relationship minded men. More info we’re al 23 and our age range has a lot of fuckbois

That’s really a nice way to put it! “Celebrate when they nab the hottie and show up with ice cream when they end up with a dud”. It would have to be metaphorical ice cream because we all live apart. But it’s still nice!

What country? I only ask because I just returned home after living abroad as well. It was very difficult to adjust. I’m hoping if you could provide some cultural context maybe we could understand your circumstances better. But the one firm fact is that at when approaching 30 the commitment phobia isn’t cute anymore. Your bf’s mother shouldn’t be demanding you do chores. I think you need to be strong and move home. When he’s ready for a commitment he’ll come to you and pursue it. But as of rn sto…

Hi friend! I mean this with love but I think you’ve conflated being redpill/traditional with being a doormat. I’m not sure why your parents are okay with this in between living situation either. It sound to me like you need to work on your self worth. Do you have any girl friends that are willing to be straight with you? What about wiser family that can set you straight? I just think that everyone in your life is being quiet about your relationship which sounds very unequal and unfulfilling long…

Education, not necessarily a college degree is an important thing to have as a mother. You want to feel confident and have all the information/knowledge required to be a great mom. I’d say decide what interests you and never stop learning! ( newspapers, magazine articles and podcasts are great resources)

I’m going to go ahead and disagree a little. Maybe your mother wants you to spend more time in the vetting stage with the guys you date. To me it sounds like you plunge into a relationship with the guy you like pretty quick. Correct me if I’m wrong. Once you commit to a relationship I agree that you should try to do everything in your power to make it last! Just don’t commit before you’ve had experiences (flirting dating NOT sex) with enough people to know that the guy you’re dating is the best …

I’m an Indian origin woman. Having your parents arrange something doesn’t sound like a bad idea at all. If you’d like to look for yourself, I know that my cousin found her match online. She’s a cardio doctor and has everything going for her. 1 kid and 1 on the way. Her husband is really involved with child rearing but has a great job too. They’re very happy. Maybe you need peer role models?

Hi, I see that you’ve commented this to others saying that you didn’t expect anything in return for this “good deed”. My advice on this, for next time, is to save such lavish shows of value for someone that is worthy of it. It’s just a friendly reminder that what you did has emotional and financial value and should be in my opinion reserved for someone that loves you.

You weren’t in a committed relationship though. No matter how much you justify it you did something you shouldn’t have. Cleaning for a man you’re not with is like baking a cake you can’t eat!

Hi! I’m not sure why I came across as an asshole but I’m just new here :) which I know you know now! I agree with you we should try to be less sensitive weight and just see it as any other part of presentation like makeup, dressing etc However, I think the reason that people fear talking about weight is because they don’t want to hit on their loved one’s insecurity.
/r/RedPillWives21/08/18 12:58 PM
5

Hey! I know that this is tough on you! You need to give yourself 3 months to truly get over it. Rushing the process has never worked. But once you’re done grieving you NEED to start dating. It’s the worst thing to know you wasted time on someone that didn’t stay but don’t waste too much more time on him. Sending love your way 👍🏾
/r/RedPillWives21/08/18 12:09 PM
1

I think the answer your fundamental question is about weight being a touchy topic. I think it’s because it would cut to the core of a person’s insecurities. If someone comments on their SOs weight there is a veiled threat in terms of leaving even if it isn’t intentional. Ideally the person would want to lose weight on their own. But because things aren’t always ideal family members (SO, mothers, etc) need to gently step in.
/r/RedPillWives21/08/18 12:04 PM

I’m going to have to agree! If you truly feel like you cannot respect your man you should not stay with him. Maybe, move to another city? Maybe, start teaching art classes or working jobs that you can get. You’re 30 you still have time to gain skills. Take Business classes at a community college? I’m not a red pill expert but I know that for me lack of respect means lack of love.

This is really thoughtful advice! Thanks for putting the time in. Waking up early is for sure something I need to work on. I used to do it for class just a couple of months ago. It can feel directionless right now but the goal should be to get going early. I already volunteer on Saturdays but that’s great advice as well it does fill me with a sense of purpose. I’m so confused as to what I should prioritize other than a job. What do you think?
