I don’t see the point to do it again without a prenup. I like the idea of it being a commitment to one another. There is value to that. I won’t say I would never do it again, but losing half of what we’ve built because she decided on a whim that she wants someone else would be the main reason I have no interest in another

Are you really doing great though? You post indicates you still have your defensive walls up not allowing vulnerability. You can still be vulnerable, just need to learn your boundaries. That’s the healing part. 🙂

It sounds like you potentially could be on the hook for alimony so factor that into your negotiating

Because she’s just now realizing what life will be like in her own. Now that she doesn’t have her backup plan, she’s in a spiral

I’ve seen it go both directions and this dude hasn’t even hired a lawyer yet he’s still 100% married she could totally use this against them

You are correct it’s not illegal, but you see stories about it everywhere and it’s generally not advisable. My wife cheated on me and my lawyer specifically told me to stay away from any sort of a fling until the divorce is final.

Because X wives can be quite evil and use it against you once they’re back in the corner

If you have children and aren’t legally divorced yet, I would advise against dating as it could go against you in court when it comes to custodial, right

I’m getting one because I don’t want anymore. I’m near divorce being finalized and I don’t want unnecessary drama down the road

Probably should have told her before sleeping with her again. Condoms or not. That not telling her is the nail in the coffin.

Sorry. Filed early April. Pre trial about weeks from now

Same boat. I filed early Pre trial mid may. She’s done nothing. So I assume it’ll go another 45 days after mid may before anything of substance. I expect 6 months at best

If it’s gonna happen, best time to have it happen

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
