He wasn't saying it exists. He is saying there is a distinction between a wage gap (the gap between gender in the same job) and the 'earnings gap' which looks at gender and just adds up all the money women and men make and compare them, not taking into account there are lots of male petroleum engineers and lots of female low-paid child care workers. A wage gap doesn't exist. An earnings gap exists because women don't go into high paying jobs.

I think people glorify their past decisions to help convince themselves it wasn't as bad as it actually was. If you can 'take away' lessons from playing video games, then that's great! But keep in mind you are only learning those lessons at the expense of different lessons you would have learned from doing something else. The opportunity cost of playing was too high for me to ever 'be happy' I played video games so excessively when I was younger, whether it taught me lessons or not.

Interestingly, I vaguely remember The Dictators Handbook using almost exclusively 'she' as the pronoun of choice. Re the OP: I don't think using SHE counterbalances the widespread use of 'he'. Most comments here seem to agree she was in the right to use her leverage to negotiate a pay rise. This is what ClimbingTehLadder mentions though. It might even actually be training wheels at first, but you don't always have a parent to take them off all of a sudden so you learn the balance. It can be easy, and most people I know, "can't go out without having a drink" and it is these training wheels they cannot get rid of.

Are you being serious? Burden of proof lies on whoever makes the claim. Not on the person questioning a claim. A person questioning a claim is NOT making their own claim to say the opposite. Very insightful post! Relating relationships in economic terms makes it much easier for me to understand. When I read "don't ruin your credit" it made me realise 2 years ago I filed for bankruptcy! Over-investment really can destroy you, this post is quite an important lifesaver to those who may be as reckless with their credit as I was back then.

It appears you have missed the point. You ask him to discuss moment he noticed her demonstrate positive or negative behavior. This isn't about her. This post is about overcoming anxiety and approaching people. Not about 'trying to get her number' or analysing how she reacted.
