Could be why they backed out. They may have thought the opponents would be the usual push overs. A couple of years ago I think, there was a debate about MRAs. They had three feminist activists siding against Peter Kay. He admitted he wasn't a MRA nor did he really know much about them. It's a TV station. I was under the impression men and women get about the same amount of harassment online. People quote statics for sexual harassment which women certainly receive more of and use those numbers when referring to harassment in general. I guess you're just more charitable than I am. A good lawyer could talk until he's blue in the face about the unreliability of eye witness testimony. If the jury still accepts the testimony as reliable there's nothing he can do about it. To get into technicalities he should have just answered the question she asked. Which was: "Do you think women are more entitled to seats on the bus than men?" He answered nobody was entitled to a seat which prompted the question about someone with a broken leg. If I'm understanding one of the OP's other posts correctly the person asking the question also thinks women aren't automatically entitled to seats over men. It sounds to me like it's two people in the same department doing the same job. I'd guess they're working the same hours. I'm sure it would have been brought up in the arbitration if the man was working longer hours. I think the outrage should depend on whether she was being underpaid or he was overpaid. Taxes and government employee's salaries are a sore point where I live. I doubt the government choosing to overpay their employees another 7% would go over well.
