If you plan on starting a business, the selling will be 100% on you. It's not good enough to know how to do the job if you can't create the opportunity to do it src: can confirm, just started a business (residential electrician). I certainly know my shit (scored 100% on licensing exam and have a decade+ of experience) but without clients it doesn't matter. I've never enjoyed sales but am enjoying servicing clients whom choose to be sold. My pricing definitely isn't the lowest but having a calm d…

I'm an electrician that does renovations and service calls... almost a decade ago, I had back-to-back cougar attacks: one was the standdard divorceé fifty year old "open the door in a bathrobe trick" (I was then early 20s! Still in the cradle, Ma'am!) — the second was a grandma that not only tried to but then did set me up with her daughter (in her early forties — me still early twenties) the next time I came over to work on grammy's cottage... it was super awkward for everybody BUT grandma! A g…

I laughed at his now-deleted reply because I am far from "alpha..." more of an omega man, I suppose. I almost replied (before he deleted) but didn't want to give him the satisfaction of response. What a poor betacuck, I'll bet another "captain save-a-hoe."

hated herself for falling in love with me and not being able to stay away I've only ever dated one feminist, a friend from high school. She lamented once that she "hated how much she wanted me when I was acting like a man "shouldn't" around her." Intuition? Deep down I know the cats are meowing, and I just hope she's ready for her life of solitude. Myself? MGTOW — just started a company and am thinking about nothing but myself.

I have closed every single social media channel except for reddit... because of gems like these here in the comments. You are a true hero, we should get this man a brick / fedora / tipbot (which subreddit are we in?!). I have only worked with one woman in my entire career as an electrician whom I respected — would genuinely follow her into battle anywhere. She was a confident, fair, absolute bitch. She was such an exceptional outlier of her gender — worked extremely hard, smoked a pack of cigarettes a day, and had a previous misdemeanor for domestic violence against her "bitch ass husband." An absolute riot, and extremely talented / risk diverse. The manliest of women I've ever met (manlier than 99% of dudes I…

I was a contractor in the bay area for a few years, and had this Stanford woman as a client... she was the Americorps Recruiter for her jurisdiction and wanted just about everything handed to her for free. Telling her "no, that's a change order" / "outside of original scope of work" would only infuriate her... once I realized she too was in the business of "getting paid to push 18 year old interns around" it all clicked for me, and (to date, almost a decade later) one of the only jobsites I've e…

Peterson further elaborates on the 80:20 rule by introducing us to the Paretto Distribution: In any organization of size 'n', the sqrt(n) of people perform half of the total output. Let that sink in... e.g. for a company with 10,000 employees, 100 people do half of the work!

No, you utilize all those connections from undergrad/grad school to stay with past acquaintances across the country/world, for relatively nothing (buy a nice dinner or bring over a decent bottle of wine). Maybe the occasional splurge for a flight here/there, but otherwise relatively inexpensive. My twin and his wife purchased a van and friggin' lived in it for over a year, bouncing from one climbing spot to the next. YMMV. Keep it simple.

I think your story would make a good movie. I appreciate the motivation to revisit these events of (almost) a decade ago. Unfortunately, many of the sub-plots wouldn't be appropriate for the big screen… as far as "marketability" I'm not sure there would even be an over-arching plot, other than don't be a piece of shit. Pretty much — she began life as a trust-fund kiddo, daughter of an already-successful businessman who spoiled his princess rotten. And continued doing so until her [un]timely death (he gave her in addition to her alimony ~$2,000/month). She told me one time how she would stand at gas stations and buy gas for drug dealers [she apparently had an eye for it] on her daddy's credit card, so he wouldn't know his princess was purchasing drugs at the quickie mart for gas/BJs. I was Ms. Matron's driver, chef, maintenance guy, and tutor/nanny to her children. Her husband was a well-known banker to the area's super-rich — his license plates returned "RESTRICTED INFO" when run under the police scanner, which usually meant police left us TF alone (b/c VIP status). Fortunately, she quickly realized I enabled her to do absolutely nothing parental (allowing her instead to sit around doing drugs all day). Storytime: Seven years ago, my adventurous dumb ass was on its way to southern california. I had accepted a unique employment opportunity as a divorcée's nanny to her three spawn. she is a murderer I'm not disputing this... she did murder the guy. But put yourself in a parent's shoes for a second: some guy who already has decades of history is starting to molest underaged minors that are even younger. He deserves to be in the ground. The judge is exactly saying that her behavior was mob justice, yes, but he is using his judicial discretion to (here in this case in my opinion) overlook these facts ("judge") and be glad that this scum is off the earth.

Some kittens need 'discipline' - they thrive on it - this certainly was not revenge. She had this [former] nasty habit that has now been corrected (around me). I hope (for the rest of her life) any time she prepares to enter a vehicle drunk, she winces in remembrance of me / herself.

I wouldn't write about this, except that she's dead now. When I was ~23 years old, I installed an outlet in a random wealthy client's Orange County house... and found myself (for the next year) taking care of a 45 year old, post-wall woman who court-raped her ex-husband bank executive... to the tune of 26,000$/month. She did as she pleased, taking clothing off wherever she was drunk enough to function (so). I was frequently helping her bring home men my age, and myself passing off advances for t…

My not knowing what to do with money is a result of living a very simple life... Same here. I can choose to not work for weeks (and be fine), but am by no means wealthy. The "wealth" comes from not being tied into any "system," that I am free to do as I choose. Hope this motivates you to make a big[ger] change. Or, ya'know, not. Same old day-in day-out.

I make pretty decent money. I live in a somewhat affluent part of town. I drive a beat-up hail-damaged Subaru I paid 3k for (it only had 62,000 miles on it!). I wear the same worker-style pants, daily, and the same beat up shoes. My pearl snaps have holes and tears in most-all of them. I shower every third day. And I make more money/hour, per relationship, than most of my peers. I work <40 hours the average annual week. Out in the sunshine. And because work pays me 56¢ a mile, and it only costs …

THIS Grow a backbone without turning into a dick and the world will be yours and this when I was [twenty] I briefly chatted with another young guy that pulled into a gas station on a sport bike. He was the coolest most natural guy I had ever met ... He left such an impression that I spent a year saving for my first bike. After I got that, I met another really cool young guy at a wedding who knew how to dance really well. He had all the best looking girls lined up to take a turn with him ... I sp…

This is the truth, fellas... me entering an elevator in SF, yesterday, as HB7 enters, too: OP HB7 You wouldn't happen to know which floor the exit is on? Dealing with grad school girls can be tricky. At Duke there were four distinct types: insecure, fearful types hiding from the real world; the super-serious ones so brainwashed by the unreality of academia they aren’t even human anymore; the ones just looking for their Mrs. degree; and the sluts. Of all the types of women, I like sluts the best. Mainly because they are the most receptive to me putting my penis in their vagina. --Master T. Max

You brought up its relevancy... ? while it MIGHT be sexist, it's still within the confines of the Constitution, as far as the SCOTUS sees it. iis5bears

If anything, the policymakers (ie men) are the sexists: the belief or attitude that one sex is inherently superior to, more competent than, or more valuable than the other. still, entirely unfair.

You aren't depriving these men of their organs... you're having them sign up to die in a foreign land. BIG DIFFERENCE.

Because the SSS isn't saying that men are better than women... just that they have to sign up. Certainly this is a bad policy, but it's NOT sexist.

This makes sense. Seems like more of a liability that the kids are just outside, asking for trouble. Are there at least school-affiliated monitors safeguarding the parking/drop-off area @ the 8:45 school [OP]? This should be one of your legitimate requests, in your writings/ newfound publicity.

one of my self-proclaimed 'feminist,' female roommates said to me this morning: "Have you ever seen that rape scene in __?" "No" "Oh my god it's so hot!" "OK" "OK, what?" "OK, so I'm just 'okaying' that if the guy is attractive, then it's 'hot', but if he's not, it's 'disgustingly chauvinistic'." "OK, look, it was hot" "OK" eats cereal

Once in college, the professor of human sexuality tried to convince me there was a difference between the two. Wouldn't allow me to present a counter-argument to her "you should circumcise speech" and I went straight to the department head - she didn't teach that course again the next semester, having to be retrained, instead. Thankfully the 2005 studies came out shortly before going to the department chair, so... fighting science, with SCIENCE
