I don't actually think that the "you should have thought of that before you <exhibited dangerous behavior>" rationale is too perverted. My only real quarrel is with the double standard. Onto the topic: I don't think all that many feminists (save a few radicals linked on this subreddit) actually believe that all women are damsels in distress. They don't want men to be chivalrous; just to be as courteous to women as they are to men. Ultimately, it seems like chivalry causes the problem.
