Geez you're really getting downvoted for an interesting counterpoint. Even though I don't agree with everything you say, have an upvote. Fuck the police.

You need to get your physical self away from this person, NOW. Physical and/or emotional violence has no place in a respectful intimate relationship.

And here's the point where I realize I'm talking with someone who is neither a woman nor has ever had sex. In case you don't know, which I know you don't, the first time a woman has sex is almost ubiquitously painful and unpleasant. Even in the best of circumstances, it is not magic. If you would like to know more about how it is not magical, go check out one of the sex threads in r/christianity where they talk about how gypped they feel after saving sex for marriage because they were told that …

Came here to say this, but am glad that someone else beat me to it.

You should have actually read the article. From discussion section of Joan R. Kahn, Kathryn A. London, 'Premarital Sex and the Risk of Divorce', Journal of Marriage and the Family 53 (1991): 845-855 "Our findings suggest, however, that women who did not already hold traditional attitudes about premarital sex and marriage would probably not achieve them simply by abstaining from sex until marriage. Rather, it is prior attitudes, and not sexual activity per se, that influence the risk of divorce."

Where is the line between being a douchebag and a rapist. When they are unconscious or unable to move under their own power, this goes for guys and girls.

If she has had > 5 partners divorce is pretty well guaranteed. Curious if there are any stats to back this up.

Sure. But, as someone with management experience, this is never a fun conversation. If there's one thing I give zero fucks about, it's whether or not management is having fun.

Personally, I'd have no problem with it if my husband/boyfriend wanted this. But then again I tend to define trust as an ongoing process that gets renewed through voluntary and ungrudging transparency, not something that gets set in stone once.

My thoughts exactly... I also don't think this is a new idea and/or lifestyle. Back in the day guys that 'went Galt' were just called monks.

True... except that my car doesn't encourage me to drink more, help me walk to it when I'm too drunk to get there myself, unlock the door for me when I'm too drunk to work the keys, or cajole me into driving it when I'm three sheets to the wind wasted.

that a person walking alone at night with no protection in revealing clothing doesn't DESERVE to be raped, but god damnit they certainly didn't help the situation. Are we sure about this? Are the kind of people who would assault someone on the street really going off of what they're wearing or the fact that they were unlucky enough to just be there? The whole "you can affect your chances of being assaulted by changing what you wear" argument smacks of confirmation bias in that we seem to only pa…

In writing a comment like this, you're totally asking to be downvoted. p.s. How can one voluntarily go somewhere private if one's already incapacitated?

looking briefly at your history, you're a straight guy that likes calling women cunts. This. And it looks like he also trolls people on r/Christianity. Subtle troll is subtle but still a troll.

All seduction does is make you better at attracting shallow women. Level up to 'genuinely concerned and respectful individual' and things might take a turn for the better.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
