Not trying to push back or anything, just curious of your perspective. What are the feminist values that you would see as interfering with your work?

I use two lines of thought to get myself motivated. A) Do not let the outside world determine your happiness. B) Knowing you're going to die is the best way to avoid the trap of thinking you have something to lose. If you work on those two things, a rejection won't sting (as much). If you can provide your own happiness and know that in the long run this isolated moment has but a tiny effect on your self esteem then you can do whatever you want and not dwell on failure and celebrate successes.

The moral of the story was less about going somewhere exciting and exotic, but that you have to learn to live one day at a time. It led me to not be stressed on how I came off. If there wasn't anything there, why should it bother me? There are 150 million other women in this country. Don't worry how you appear. If the way you act isn't appealing to someone then it's probably not going to work and you move on. I read a line on this sub last week that a rejection is not a missed opportunity, it wa…

I'm over analytical and stopped pursuing women at the end of the Spring 2014 semester. I ruined a great fwb situation by getting caught up in feelings for the gal. That as the second time in about a year that happened to me. I knew that if I couldn't be comfortable and confident with myself I couldn't ever convince someone to be comfortable around me. I went to Europe and graduated and then was unemployed for nearly a year. In Europe I was able to hook up with this British chick because I knew I…

You definitely don't want to do this if it blows up. If you think it could last, then maybe. If it's for a hookup, definitely not. You'll be the one ostracized from the group of it becomes a thing.

Again, generalizing. Yea, there are gonna be way less women willing to date a minor, but if you find someone who isn't down with weed out clubbing, she probably wouldn't care about you not being able to go to bars, right? I dated a girl when I was 18 who was 21 and it worked out ok. Narrowing your choices will limit the pool, obviously, but there are 3.5 billion women on this planet, some of them will match your criteria.

It's never too late to start doing the right thing. One thing that helps me is sitting back and realizing there are roughly 3.9 billion people on this Earth. There is no "one", there are just quite a few really, really good matches. If this one doesn't work out, bummer, it'll take you no time (relatively) to find another "one". But if this one works out, great! You've hit the end of your search and now you're in upkeep mode. But you'll never get there if you can't keep some of your insecurities …

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
