Incorrect. It is true of feminists because it is part of their ideology. I think what sillymod was suggesting was that the MRA does not have an ideology. Feminism is stemmed from tons of theory about patriarchy etc. I think the best parallel is with the religious. I do not care that there are lots of moderate religious folk who might not be actively promoting creationism in schools, but as members of the ideology they validate it by identifying with the religion. When you identify with the relig…

"serious, peer-reviewed, scholarly" work doesn't mean much in the field of feminism. The papers I've read basically amount to opinion pieces, and unfortunately not very good ones. The concept of patriarchy in its modern rendition (not the narrative of a society run by males, but the narrative of a society that is completely structured to oppress women with all men as actors and all women as being acted upon) is laden with fallacies, circular reasoning, and is most annoyingly, unfalsifiable.

Attempting to disprove claims is the basis coming up with sound reasonable beliefs and values and is the core of science. Nothing to be ashamed about. Everyone should question everything more. For example, the samples in the study, the methodology, etc. That is not finding facts to suit a predetermined conclusion.
