Only because people have a narrow view of what a job in the psych field is. I don't need to be a counselor to be in the psych field. Human Resources, Industrial-Organizational, Behavior Analysis, nurse, CPS, FBI, police officer, CIA, the list goes on. You can be using your degree in any job where you need to figure out how people work. It's a pretty good all-rounder degree for that. Or you can specialize and go into behavior analysis and child development to create programs for mentally disabled…

Ben Franklin would agree with you. His trading liberty for safety quote is often misrepresented as saying the government shouldn't be allowed to infringe on the citizen. Brought this up to my girlfriend when talking about kids in the future. She was shocked I wouldn't trust her. I told her that it isn't about trusting her, it's about peace of mind that the child I'm raising is mine. She didn't get how I couldn't trust her and had no understanding of why I wouldn't just assume the kid is mine when she says it is.

I can't look on mobile, but if it's the study I'm thinking of, they used a natural language filter to remove instance where it was joking or in reference to someone having called you a slut. It focuses only on targeted disparaging comments. So neither of your examples would have been counted.

People in first-world countries (countries also more likely to have men circumcised) tend to have kids later. Why? Education. We already know people with higher education wait later to have kids. Places that happen to have the highest rate of education also have the lowest rate of birth. Further, in the past, families in the US would have 2-5 kids right after 18 years old. Amazingly, people were also circumcised then too. Even more then, actually. They were also less educated. Try again.

Yeah, certain types of female circumcision do. Three and four, I believe. One and two just remove skin around the vagina. Some of the Labia Majora, I believe. It is very specific types of circumcision that remove anything more than just folds of skin. Not that that's any better Yes, there are four types of female circumcision.

Usually stuff like that is labelled as indecent exposure and the punishment can change state by state. Most times a cop will just tell you to pull up your pants and get the hell out. Sometimes, they actually nab you for it, and that's where the variable time comes from. If you do it in front of children or other adults, it can be upped to a felony.

I would say men should get an opt-out clause saying that if he wants the child aborted but she wants to keep it, he signs off all rights and responsibility. Obviously it would need a great deal of work to make close to workable, work that I have not the experience to do. Just a thought.

In middle school, I was actually pulled out of class by one of my teachers, taken to an empty room, sat down, and questioned on whether or not I had ADD/ADHD or some other disorder. I feel bad about it now, but I laughed at her and told her that I was healthy but her class was boring and didn't challenge me at all. It really is annoying how quickly people jump from "active and imaginative kid" to "kid with disorder."
