I joined the Air Force at 18 and am about to get out at the ten-year mark. Joining the military was the best decision I ever made - I don’t know where I would have ended up otherwise. Basically the military helped me grow up, learn important social and life skills, and gave me the discipline and confidence to take my next step in life - which is out of the military. I think you should do it

This is the kind of post that makes me wonder about this community’s sanity (or are we all insane?). If everything’s fucked, what are you going to do about it? OP has a very jaded worldview (some may say realistic). Seems like he needs some optimism or maybe even a hug. People can be dumb as fuck for all I care, who am I to tell them how to live their lives? All we can do is try not to be the dumb ones ourselves. Am I the only one?
