"The cases are based on real life scenarios of events that occur in child support courts. Names, characters, businesses, places, events, locales, and incidents are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious manner. Any resemblance to actual persons, living or dead, or actual events is purely coincidental." Nowhere does it say it is re-enacting a court case, in fact it is saying "...events...are either the products of the author's imagination or used in a fictitious m…

Everyone on this show is an actor.

I don't think they are reenactments, just "based on real life scenarios of events that occur in child support courts", but I would assume just generally. The dialog and exact situations are probably all made up.

If just one person learns how to correctly spell "breathe" it is worth it.

I think that people who don't know how to spell breathe should learn how to spell breathe.

Not all auditors do this, many of them just observe and remain silent unless they are addressed. Plus it's been proven that police lie all the time to cover their ass, not to mention they break the law with no consequence ALL THE TIME. Of course they don't want to be recorded.

What makes someone "press" then? EDIT: The 2nd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, for example, has said that First Amendment protections extend to “‘every sort of publication which affords a vehicle of information and opinion.’” von Bulow v. von Bulow, 811 F.2d 136, 144 (2d Cir.) (quoting Lovell v. Griffin, 303 U.S. 444, 452 (1938)), cert. denied, 481 U.S. 1015 (1987).

I know, it's not just allowed, but it's a right! Freedom of the press. I can understand people not wanting to be video recorded in general (who wants that one time you picked your nose in public to be watched 1 million times on YouTube), but you have the right to record anything you can see in public. Police and other public officials performing their duties can be recorded in public, there have been court cases and rulings to this effect. But in this case I would feel like the cop would not hel…

Why do cops almost always tell you to turn your camera off? It seems like it would be a good idea to document this situation with video, but cops just don't like it.

Yes, also putting stuff IN TO mailboxes is illegal unless you are the USPS or the owner of the mailbox (assuming this is in the USA). So if it was UPS like the woman said, it would not be in the mailbox.

It's not a real court case. They are actors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w340IIj0U1o

That is not a real judge, court cases on this show are fake with actors. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w340IIj0U1o

Just so there is no confusion, the show this clip is from is all fictional court cases with actors. At the end of the video it states, "The scenarios depicted in this show are fictitious". These cases may actually be based on real cases (and they just have a legal disclaimer so they won't be sued) but they may also be totally made up. But what is certain is that both the plaintiff and the defendant are actors (the "judge" is not a real judge, but is a lawyer). You can see the full video (with th…

What does it say about society when the comments here are more about how she looks then about how she acted?

Why does this sidewalk look like a road. it even has a curved entrance way on to it, like a road would (and not a sidewalk). I'm not saying that it's not a sidewalk, but it sure looks more like a road to me.

Fictional situation. Read the disclaimer at the end.

If you had read the disclaimer at the end of the segment you would know that she is not a judge and the scenario depicted is fictional.

The rest says it is a fictional scenario. They are actors.

Similar? It is almost exactly the same... Although the Dippolito story is definitely more interesting with how they had her "dead" husband walk in while she is being interrogated. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7JttwV6XZ_I

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
