I want dating tips and dating perspectives. I don't want to absorb a whole different system of thinking about the world. I've taken some tips on watching out for red flags, being aware of not compromising standards, and looking for effort in someone I date. I think that's all the value I can get here without drinking the cool aid. I didn't know the difference between radical and liberal feminism. It's interesting. It's not an issue close to my heart. The effort involved in properly understanding…

It's a scarecrow argument. FDS takes the position that sex work is bad for women. No self described feminist I know takes the opposing position.

Basically the rule in the subreddit is female only, right? But you might get some clout by reposting already popular pics or memes. Go to /r/femaledatingstrategy, sort by top, all time, link to the same image, get some karma, and get your name recognized so people assume you're a woman. "Infiltrating" the subreddit with low effort, low risk contributions (since they were already upvoted). I didn't realize that that was the intention behind the reposts, but it makes sense.

Yeah. That, on top of not knowing who is or isn't lesbian or bi... I'd rather not complicate a friendship either, because chances are she's not into women, anyway.

I gave myself "hedonism week" after my last break up. Did whatever I wanted and nothing responsible outside the bare minimum. Feels good when you're down. That said, it wasn't a serious relationship. Sometimes you need more time. Sometimes you need therapy and it's normal to grieve a relationship.

It doesn't sound like you two are compatible. Your current partner doesn't sound like your dad. It sounds like you guys have conflicting views on how to spend the future. It's not callous to break up with him in a convenient way.

This is such a tough issue and I have no place answering. The only things I know for sure: Don't have a kid with a man you aren't married to. if you decide to be at stay at home mom then make sure he can afford it.

I've never had this happen without a legit excuse. I would leave it at "Okay let's cancel then" See how much effort he puts into rescheduling and be very picky. Don't say it's okay or that it's fine. If he presses you asking "Sorry, forgive me?" Say something kinda cold like "no not yet". Leave it 100% up to him to correct. Don't ask when, decline weekend plans and the first suggestion.

I'd identify as a liberal (or further left) and a feminist. Of course I want equal rights for women. That's compatible with not considering men who don't pay for dates. I believe that women can do BDSM or be sexually permissive if they want to, just like I believe women can gain 150 pounds if they want to. It's your right to do it, but it's not healthy and I'm not going to give you a medal.

Yes. I understand ghost and block is justified. However, if they keep contacting you after you specifically tell them not to, at that point it's technically harassment and you can't get someone involved. I like to plan for the worst, and have things documented. "This isn't working out so I'm breaking things off. Please do not contact me through any means." Block + delete. Keep it short and simple. No paragraphing.

If the organization won't back you up enough to have a plan in place to protect yourself They 100% support the volunteers, and keep records so we can better identify it. One of the best parts of volunteering here is that you're surrounded by empathetic, understanding people. However, it's not like a pervert will say in the first minute of the call "Hey I want to talk about my fetishes". They try as best they can to get your sympathy throughout the call to trick you to staying on with them longer…

Why would anyone advertise that they are altering their hormonal composition purely to please another person? What about your well being? What about the side effects of birth control? What about using your body for you? Why does the decision to be on birth control revolve around a man's pleasure rather than your health?

Vibrators are amazing. And, they are expensive, but you can purchase sex machines that are basically a dildo on a stick that pump back and forth. Vibrators are probably easier and better though.

As sad as this is, I think sex dolls are going to be a tool used to lower sexual assault and rape. It'll also make it easier to filter out men who just want sex. Hopefully they all just buy sex robots and stop bothering real women. It's like handing a whining toddler a sucker instead of a boob - they stop complaining and everyone gets some peace and quiet. However, it's not a real solution for the majority. As it is, men can legally have sex with a real woman, and pay for it. But that doesn't st…

A lot of people date because they're lonely. Make working on your social circle a priority if you don't find happiness in people around you. That said, we are social creatures and we crave emotional attachment from a romantic interest. This is how our species survived and evolved. It is in our DNA. The fact that you crave a romantic relationship is a sign that you're an emotionally healthy human being. But that doesn't mean relationships are good for you. It's like sugar. We evolved to crave it …

This happened to my aunt. She had a kid with him after he became a citizen. Then he admitted, after nearly a decade, he was only with her only for the citizenship. After she left him, he married an ex who he'd been cheating on her with, and then she got citizenship. She wanted to report him, but didn't want the father of her child deported.

I don't want to be racist, but, has anyone noticed this queen trend in women who have migrated from places like Nigeria or other surrounding African countries? There is much more violence against women in these cultures and I feel like women are much happier to be independent of men than take a chance. They realize they can do things for themselves; they risk a lot by getting involved with a man, but there's little gain.

I'm bi. There's discrimination by lesbians against bi women - they don't want to date someone going through a phase. Given that I've never been with a woman, that obstacle gets harder because she'd have more to worry about. Like another comment said, given that most women aren't lesbian it makes it harder. Fewer options and I don't want to make assumptions. If I was ever asked I might say yes! But I just don't count on that happening. I'd love to direct romantic energy towards a woman. I feel li…

That's not my experience of gay men. The closest gay friend I've got is a relative slob, he works, bones his partner, plays video games with him, and is on grindr trying to sleep with as many people as possible. Open relationship. That's 95% of his life.

Even if you are sexually submissive, bringing this up at such an early stage means that he's looking at the relationship from a sexual perspective over other things. Even if you're sexually compatible the fact that he brought it up makes him romantically incompatible.

"We're not exclusive, why is this a big deal to you." If he pressures you, straight up say he's being clingy and possessive; you're not his. Although I don't think it's a particularly good idea to date friends to begin with specifically because it can ruin friend groups. I've learned that the hard way. Internalize that male jealously exists because they don't want to have to be better to win your affection.

Same, except, I could date someone uneducated in the right situation. At least a degree is preferable but one of the smartest men I know didn't even graduate high school. He reads 2 books a week, politically active, great job. He seems educated even though he isn't. I would consider someone like that, all else being equal. Also, HATES cats would be bad, but I prefer dog people. Also for me No kids, ever. Childfree. Atheist. Must be intro politics.

Yes. No, I wouldn't consider marrying a man with debts, with the exception of perhaps a mortgage. That said, something like this Dr. Phil episode... a perfectly financially independent person could be dragged down with a spouses new sexual obsession. Or, it could be gambling. Or other things. It's just so scary. I'm no where near getting married right now, but it's something to really consider before marriage.

It's entirely possible for a spouse to go into debt though, and, being married exposes you to that debt. Man, the more I think about it, the less I actually want to be married.

There's also dog spray. Servers the same purpose. Works especially well if you are by a dog park or they're after coyotes around. It is not illegal to own dog or bear spray where I live. It is illegal to use it on a human. I'd rather break the law than be raped or assaulted though. The tone for most cops is also the same. Google the laws in your area. This loop hole was given to me by a cop.

Same here. For me, I feel like that simplifies dating. If a man is honest in saying he wants kids, then we are incompatible. But if a man doesn't want kids, but says he does want kids for the purposes of try to sleep with me eventually (because, well, most women do want kids and do want partners who want kids), then he'll also be filtered in the "yes" response. The reasons for me being child free are unrelated to dating or men, but it is an advantage.

Best sexual experience for me as been in bed while he's holding a vibrator to my clit and we're having sex at the same time. Guess what? Both guys I've done this with love the vibration and do I. That's actually a really good point. I think part of the reason we don't see it is that it can become an political discussion if we involve things like weapons into the discussion. Gun legality and what not. That said, the average man can easily over power the average woman. Part of the reason that we might not talk about it is that it's hard to work up the skills that put you on a man's level. Witte down a list of reasons of why he wasn't right for you. Make it as long as possible and add to it as you remember things. If you have the urge to call him, speak text, etc, pull up the list to remind yourself. Use words like "I felt sad when..." "I was pissed because" that way to can better relate to your past emotions and give yourself a reason not to look back or reach out.

Anything around minimum wage.
