Some differences in my perspective may stem from the fact that my school only has around 6k undergrads and thus the greek system is much smaller. Some brothers in my fraternity consider us to be one of the (or the) top fraternites on campus, but I dissagree with that idea that we are better than other people in any given aspect. Some kids wouldn't enjoy being in my fraternity as much as they would others, for instance the 'geeky' kids that enjoy hanging around other people who have similar interests to theirs. Based on the greek life at my school, there is no 'top' fraternity. All of the fraternities are different, and appeal to people of different interests. It is also true that a person will get a bid based on how well they fit, and not how popular they are or other assumed factors. If you fit, you dont have to do anything.
