(Xpost from r/psychology) I'm conflicted on the topic of masculinity, since the rise of the "metrosexual" male is a major change in trend from the past. Metrosexual males aren't traditionally "masculine" (and in fact are more feminine), but are still attractive to a lot of feminine women. Considering this case of metrosexual males that are more feminine than the traditional masculine male, I'd say it's too much of a generalization to conclude that feminine women are attracted to masculine traits.
