I am so sorry. Honestly you deserve better than that. There are plenty of traditional men out there who are also honest and faithful. And I hate to say it but I've seen this situation play out before and it nearly always repeated after they got married. Based on his behaviour. I would not recommend hearing him out right now because, as you said, he might be convincing in the moment but actions have to speak louder than words sometimes. And the longer you stay the harder it will be to emotionally…

The opinion I encounter most is that it's "lazy" of me to be a part time worker/volunteer and do housewife things the rest of the time. In reality, I keep very busy with it and do a lot of labor intensive stuff. But just as I feel frustrated when people constantly ask why I don't work full-time, I feel upset at the insinuations that my husband, who works long physically demanding shifts, should automatically be helping me with a bunch of housework. He works very hard and holds a big financial re…

We've had similar problems at my (Canadian) university. I wasn't allowed to volunteer in the women's center because I'm pro-life, and the pro-life club is the only group whose (allowed by university rules and approved) chalk messages or posters get taken down or washed off within the day. Usually because someone complains that pro-life statements, even ones such as "pro-women pro-life" are "anti-feminist" Then again my school is also the one that had the crazy angry feminist protesters at the me…

You have no idea... He's an extremist in so many ways. Also not a very nice person.

I enjoy the bigot/their opinion doesn't count part. I can't even tell you how many times I've been told I'm not a feminist because I am pro-life, or because I believe in men's rights, or because I'm a part-time housewife, etc etc... It seems like they only support women's rights if the women in question agree with them on every issue.

Well, I chose to have a more casual/part-time career and make less money so I could have more time to take care of my house, foster animals, husband (who has a very physically demanding job) and future children. That's what works for our family and I get a lot of joy and pride from domestic work. But most feminists I know would say I only chose that because of patriarchy or something.

Amazing!! I learned a lot from that (about neoteny, women's tear ducts, etc). I think you wrote it in a very balanced way and anyone should have little problem agreeing with the points you made IMO. Thanks for sharing!

I'm so glad you said what you did to avoid showing too much skin. I just mentioned casually to some friends today (it was in context with the conversation) that I think it's more respectful to yourself and others to dress at least somewhat modestly and they got mad at me for "policing women's bodies." It makes me sad because I love the idea of looking pretty but modest in public and then being really sexy just for my husband when I get home. It makes it so much more special that it's just for hi…

Technically my advice would be for him to take care of the horniness through masturbation in the meantime as he worked towards a hopeful sexual relationship with another person. Being sexually frusterated is really unpleasant, it just doesn't give you automatic rights to another person's body (that you're not married to).

I wear skirts and dresses year long. Very modest but lots of bright colors! No heels or makeup, me and my husband prefer the natural look. :)

A genuine insight into what a lot of women want or don't want in a partner.

I would try to meet people through groups who have similar interests, be open to entering a relationship, and make romance and trust a priority in that relationship. Sex, if/when it happened would be a bonus, but treating my partner like a person with rights comes first, not my horniness.

I wouldn't say I was hunting for one (I'm in my last year of college now) because I was trying to work on myself too, but I definitely made it a priority. Especially since I want kids and I don't want to start having them too late.

Not having a boyfriend before doesn't make you a failure! There's someone out there for you, everybody's journey is different. :)

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
