A man at 23 is a completely different creature than one closer to 30. The fact that he spilled the beans all these years later shows it's been eating him up inside. I'd suggest that you make it crystal clear that any betrayal of your trust going forward will have a zero tolerance policy, even if he tells you 10 years later. If you stay, you'll have to forgive and let it go or it will slowly erode the relationship. If you go, keep in mind that very few have a perfect track record especially at 23…

They explicitly told you it was job status?

You obviously didn’t comprehend my comment, slow down and read it closer. Your ex likely loved you, a man on 4 dates did not.

Pro tip, tight clothes on a curvy body and dressing revealing are the same in men’s eyes. Either option will trigger a primal/biological switch in our brains. You may be giving off the same energy you’re receiving in return.

You might not want to hear this, but this isn’t why he broke it off. Men have tunnel vision early on in the courting process. The money issue doesn’t become an “issue” until we love the woman. There was something else more than likely. This will take deep introspection, but a worthwhile endeavor. Now please proceed to dogpile me instead of listening to a man state how 95% of men think.

That last sentence is compelling, much appreciated.

Dealing w/ this w/ my ex. Her mother was a serial branch swinger, but she swore it disgusted her, the thought of it. Couple of years later, our relationship just ended, and she's now done the same, but she's still attempting backdoor ways to get my attention. I've had this happen in the past, and wanted to get a glimpse into the female psyche. I figure if she's still trying to contact, but have already branch swung, she's in for an even worse outcome. I would've taken her back and worked it out,…

"Emotions are like a fire, the more you feed it with your focus, the bigger they grow." ^ Well done, sir. This poetic tongue lashing was a great way to start the day. OP, your girl wanted her box stuffed by the bigger alpha. NEVER ever ever fall for the open relationship talk. Hard next, no contact, and build yourself up stronger. Unfortunately your "artist" is for the streets.

Quit the dancing and start lifting TODAY. You're not strong enough to see her and showing up to that class is a bitch move, not a power play.

Safe to assume she took zero ownership like mine when you ended it? Crazy similarities, and my girl's mom was an alcoholic too. Lesson learned, always always ALWAYS pay attention to the family when vetting.

Step 6 is paramount. OP could destroy his progress and regress into the chains that bind unless he knows this fun fact. What you would do is different than the collective, and when giving advice it's beneficial to cast a wide net.

Step 1) Gym - lift heavy shit, save cardio for end of workout Step 2) See Step 1 Step 3) Focus on bettering yourself financially, have a plan in place for the long-term Step 4) Enjoy your hobbies, whatever they may be, enjoy them , you have extra time now which is amazing. Many men envy your situation right now as they peer through the bars of their cages Step 5) Don't start dating again until you've worked on yourself. Any woman you date will become the center of your universe. This pain you're…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
