I figured this would have been posted by now, but no one has. I am definitely a Steve Madden girl. All the way. I probably have about ten pairs. I do find they run wider (especially in the heel) so I always buy heels with straps of some kind. On the other hand, unless you're desperate to try on, I found good stuff on Zappos through some trial and error. I do online shop regularly at [ShoeMint](www.shoemint.com) and [ShoeDazzle](www.shoedazzle.com). I find lots of comfy things there, but you have…

I appreciate you weighing in. I'm a divorced mom who'd eventually like to marry again so it is good to hear that there are things to do, but at the moment I'm working on bettering myself to be the best I can be. Thank you!

Here is last week: Finish cleaning the entire house (5 rooms down in deep cleaning, 5 to go) Finish a wash cloth. Get packages to friends mailed. Work on being kind to everyone. I got the entire house cleaned aside from the craft room which was just far too overwhelming. I did finish my washcloth, but ended up making something else so nothing got mailed. And the person I was going to mail things to sadly passed away yesterday which changes all my goals. This week: Be grateful for all that I have…

I spend a lot of time on /r/crochet because I spend a lot of time crocheting. I'm also doing the keto diet so I find /r/xxketo amazingly helpful.

Thanks for the good advice! I am working hard on losing weight and taking better care of myself overall. It is good to know that there is a chance it can make a difference. Of course, I keep forgetting that the biggest example of this is my mom - who met and remarried at the age of 44 and has always been an RP woman. I just need to keep in mind that she is what I want to be. Thanks again!

I think part of it comes from turning 40 and wanting to have a chance at being married again, but knowing to a good portion of men '40 is old' so therefore you wonder whether change is worth it. But over time and through changing I know I do have a lot to offer and that changing is worth it - especially for myself and my son and hopefully who I eventually remarry.

Thank you so much for posting this. I am working through some of this myself (hitting the dreaded 40 - though some times I am actually anticipating it as well which is a nice thought) and wondered whether or not making these changes in myself was worth it. Thanks for helping me see it is worth it - especially since it is making me happier, much less healthier!

I'm off school for spring break so I have a nice week to accomplish things! Finish cleaning the entire house (5 rooms down in deep cleaning, 5 to go) Finish a wash cloth. Get packages to friends mailed. Work on being kind to everyone.

I have seasonal shoes - those for winter and then summer. I tend to wear most of them. I have a few I rarely wear (for formals and the like), but in general, I only buy what I know I will wear.

Shoe buying. I love shoes. At the request of the people I work with, I counted them this year - 76 pairs and counting. I constantly browse, but rarely buy (which is good!). My other indulgence is a nap. It's so nice just to lay down with my homemade afghan and sleep.

I'm looking forward to spring break from school. I plan on cleaning my house from top to bottom, scrubbing on my hands and knees and making it feel so much better. Then clean and organize my craft room so it is usable. Of course once its clean I can put myself on a good cleaning regime for every day.

Ahhhh - that makes sense. I think boots are an awesome idea! I think some fur edging would be a fun way to keep them looking more feminine.

Why buy a suit? What about separates? I would consider buying separates because you could get more use out of them. But then, I personally don't like suits all that much because of the same reason. Definitely, dresses are a great way to go. I'd try a couple of places online for dresses - Modcloth.com and eShatki.com for beautiful feminine dresses. I agree with /u/rpw_only in that Loft has an excellent petite section. High quality clothing and reasonably priced. For tights, I buy mine at Target o…
