Saying women (in general terms) prefer a guy who is stronger then them is not careful observation. It's called sexual dimorphism and sexual selection. It's literally why we are stronger.
As in there are more men who abuse women. As in the level of abuse is often more extreme, but sure we can pretend abuse is equally distributed if that helps you resolve things
I was beat up by my ex too and female on male violence is not talked about enough. That being said, male on female violence is statically more significant
