Then don’t fucking have sex with strangers.

‘Get under another to get over her’ Well... I have tried. With the first I was constantly thinking about her; couldn’t be in the moment at all, worst sex of my life. With the second I couldn’t even get an erection... I feel like something’s broken inside me. How the fuck can you possibly not get an erection at 21 with a naked girl in bed with you??!!! Fuck me. And fuck cheating whores.

Man, how I wish I could forget. It stings everyday. My issue is: how do you know who to trust from now on if the person you trusted so much was capable of betraying you like that?

The first sentence in your comment is just as useful as a condom is to a 1 year old girl.

What’s the most valuable lesson a man can learn? I’m 21 and also dealing with finding out that my GF of 3.5 years cheated on me (of course she tried to downplay it, but I don’t believe her one bit). Is it about self-respect? Is it about not losing yourself in a relationship? Everything I thought I knew about people and women does not exist anymore and I need to know what part of my beliefs brought me in this state so I can grow and move one. Thank you in advance.

You are so right in the first paragraph: that was exactly what made me start lurking this sub (I found it by mistake by googling stuff about my gf’s behaviour). I was such a fool for not seeing things for what they actually were. The biggest thing I learned from this break-up is: always trust your gut instinct. Fuck man, it’s rough. But I got to keep moving.

I did so many things wrong. Obviously, the cheating is all on her. But I could have done so many things differently. I didn’t know how to be a man. I fell hard for her and I lost my sense of self, so she lost respect. Now I think I know what I have to do. Still hurts like a motherfucker tho... Thank you for the answer.

How do I get over this? How do I let go? How do I get the images out of my head? How do I stop with the ‘but we were so perfect and she promised me so much’? Please, I feel so lost.

It doesn’t mean you get to tell people to go to hell. Fuck you for being a pathetic asshole. Go cry somewhere else.

I’m only 21, still got a lot of time to apply all that I’ve learned.

I wish I knew that before she cheated... Of course, it is entirely her fault that she cheated - fuck that thot. But I was acting like a beta, nonetheless.

I was softer. It’s ok, live and learn.

Were you me? Fuck, this hurts to read. Guess I had to go through finding out she cheated on me after 3.5 years of relationship to realize that I’ve been doing it wrong my whole life. Hurts to know you were a beta.

Got cheated on by the ‘love of my life’. I was 21. We had been together for 3 years. We were each other’s first. Man that hurt. No more mr. nice guy from that day.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
