It’s a classic case of the only the extreme/shock value/reaction worthy posts being shared. No one’s going to share a post saying “I have slept alone for 30 years. I am in desperate need of intimacy and human contact”, because that might garner sympathy.

That’s how it is everywhere. Sure, it’s not always athletes, but in India the Bollywood culture worship is very prominent. Unfortunately, watching programmers debug code or engineers write structure plans won’t generate money.

It can be argued that if women were to solely pick who’s genes are passed on, it might be detrimental for society. After all, they aren’t picking the 5’8” engineering prospect headed to MIT, instead they want the 6’2” basketball player that got an offer from a D3 school.

/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 05:57 AM

I’m sure it depends on the demographics of the city. Even if you’re the only guy but short/ugly, no shortage of men will change their perception of you. If it’s a sausage fest and you’re top tier, you won’t have any trouble.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 05:54 AM

To be fair, I didn’t even bother finishing the show once it started going off the rails (season 3 I think it was?), and once I pitchforks were out for Spacey, I knew it was over. It’s a shame, the show could’ve been one of the best of all time, but now it’s on the list of “shows that started out great”.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 05:52 AM

The race dynamics influence their perception of the issue significantly. If thug culture was dominated by white males, it wouldn’t exist.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/03/22 05:49 AM

The show garnered its critical acclaim due to Kevin Spacey’s performance. Robin Wright was good, but the show wouldn’t have lasted beyond one season if she was the front runner.

There’s a myriad of things that can define one as a Chad. She said he isn’t 6’, but he could easily be 5’10”/5’11”, and depending on where she is that could be considered tall. She didn’t mention anything about his looks aside from “definitely not well dressed”, as if a guy has to be in a 3-piece suit to be Chad. He isn’t fit, and somehow the word fit differs among people as well, so who knows there.

Women do fear being alone, that’s why they’ll have often have lots of friends + NSA/FWB partners throughout their life (assuming they don’t marry). Most women wouldn’t last a day being alone, in the same way lots of men are.

A lot of people rate each other based on the school grading (at least here in the US) scale: <59 (F); 60-69 (D); 70-79 (C); 80-89 (B); 90-99 (A) Even back in high school when people would do “Like for a rate” back on Facebook (simpler times), the lowest rare was 7/10. Even girls that were below average would be rated as a 7, and generally, guys’ perception of women is so skewed that most would even think Jenna Fischer (Pam from The Office) is an 8+, when she’s really around a 5.75. If you called…

Makeup needs to go altogether. And I find it hilarious to see women doing mental gymnastics about how men can’t tell when women have makeup on/think they look sick without makeup. No shit? /r/PurplePillDebate05/03/22 06:07 PM

Tinder does this the same reason Instagram and TikTok do: people like looking at attractive people. The male to female ratio is like 3:1 (I might be wrong, but men are the majority by far), and men won’t stay if there aren’t women any women. How do they get the women to on their? Show them the best of the best. Men will go above, below, or at their standard when swiping, and when given the choice, women will go as high as they can.

It doesn’t need any effort in the gym. Any woman can download MyFitnessPal and watch YouTube tutorials and be on her way to a great physique, without paying a single cent. Good luck doing so as a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:43 AM
5

Any man or woman can build muscle. You don't need a specific plan. It is noticeably harder for women to build muscle. Most women would need to deploy PEDs to reach the muscle of a man that’s been working naturally for a year (that doesn’t have much knowledge about training or dieting beyond eating some meat and doing basic movements). You body was designed to do it. It's why laborers will have nice muscles despite not going to the gym. Laborers are often picking/moving heavy objects around. Whic…

All this is true, but evolution has made it so they have as much as muscle as necessary. If Chris Hemsworth stopped weight lifting on a regular basis + stopped his PED use, he’d look average. He still looks good in that picture, but that’s due to his genetics, which of course vary from individual to individual. Even a guy like this would have no trouble outclassing most women in terms of strength. But, assuming he’s an ectomorph/hard gainer, he’d have to consistently eat more than what he is use…
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:14 AM

Women can have a decent physique through proper nutrition alone. And most of them still can’t manage this. It’s pathetic. Women are used to waiting at the finish line. They legitimately don’t care for a guy’s training/diet protocol. Most of the time, it actually annoys them. It’s common to hear “we couldn’t just eat on a whim; he’s always counting calories” as a complaint. They want a guy that looks like an off-season bodybuilder who can eat whatever he likes, all while working out once a week. …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 06:07 AM
4

Quite the case of confirmation bias. Most teenagers would reach around 185lbs in 6 months of good training/diet/rest. Most teenagers putting up 225 are above average in genetics, since they’re unlikely to be practicing all 3 properly.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 05:56 AM
2

Reposting my comment from another thread to give insight regarding PED use: Most people using PEDs will look like shit, but it just goes to show the extreme measures more and more people are taking. Many individuals resort to PEDs since they work (and very well) and cut the downtime needed to reach a desirable physique. Train/diet diligently to reach your goal physique in 5+ years, or do it in 2.5 with varying degrees of side effects? Lance Armstrong was on PEDs. Professional soccer players who …

Maybe if you have above average genetics, which the average person obviously doesn’t. At every gym I’ve been to, it’s rare to see a person doing 225, unless they’re very committed.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 05:47 AM
25

You’re right. But it’s common for women to say “I don’t want to get bulky” when told to lift weights, as if it just happens by accident. Most of them likely think The Rock is natural.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 05:45 AM
21

You could work out 12 hours/day, and you’d never look like him. Why? His genetics are different from yours, and not to mention he has great dieting (that someone else does for him) + leverages PEDs + has top medical professionals at his beck and call. Kumail Nanjiani is a good example of what is achievable with decent genetics + everything else I mentioned above. Throw in the incentive of millions of dollars and no other obligations, most people would be happy to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 05:42 AM
10

Way to ignore the essence of the post. Of course it’s easier to maintain, but what about the effort that goes into gaining such a physique? There’s a reason why PED use has become rampant in recent years.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/03/22 05:39 AM

Oh, it’s number two on the list? What a relief! Everyone I know involved in drug use mainly sticks with weed. Let’s not pretend as if all drug users are shooting up heroine. People in their late 20s aren’t dying from obesity—it’s usually a bit later on. How are you a burden on others? Oh I don’t know, only a massive risk for the healthcare system waiting to happen. I’m not fat phobic of fat people when they’re in the gym, only when I see them in fast food places. And it’s not like I’m throwing s…

They should give you a TRT subscription if that’s the case. If they don’t, go elsewhere. There’s plenty of telemedicine clinics that will gladly take your money. Do your research on this topic as well, since it is a lifelong commitment if it turns out to be true.

If they smoke/drink themselves to the point of being a burden on others, I will call them out. How many people die from obesity every year? Will you care once they roll out a vaccine for that?
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 08:32 PM

Why wouldn’t I? And let me guess what is anti-vaxx to you: someone who doesn’t want an experimental vaccine for an illness with a 99% survival rate?

It’s literally a dream scenario for them. If they want to improve their body, all they have to do is work out glutes/legs at the gym. Imagine if men only had to arms or chest? I fucking wish.

I honestly want a stronger emphasis on weight lifting/exercise/nutrition education throughout grade school, but that might lead to more well disciplined people who don’t buy fast food incessantly.

You’re right. Even though a lot of girls aren’t on there, it’s likely because they got what they wanted without it, or got it immediately and no longer need the platform. I also think everyone’s far too locked in with their circles than ever before (I’d need more time to explain this), so it gets harder and harder to meet people. It’s the same way by which people are more isolated now than ever, despite it being so easy to connect with one another.

I’m waiting for the classic “what about people who have conditions that prevent them from losing weight?!”, as if more than 0.01% (I made it up) of the population has that problem.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 07:30 PM

Decades of media curation has ruined the standards of two generations now. At this point, social media needs to be limited to friends and family only, or just family. Movies/TV shows need to start casting normal people again (at least the quality of the production has to be good rather than relying on beautiful people). Superficiality is unhealthy yet far too prevalent in our society. At the rate at which we’re going, the end is near.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 07:29 PM

In my experience, a lot of those girls are already taken, or they have a self-inflated view of themselves. I do agree that the numbers in the 18-30 range aren’t as dramatic as they seem, although it’s absurd how many obese women I see on OLD.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 07:23 PM
11

Not to mention that not being obese by makes women above average. If you’re an average looking male of average height/weight, your counterpart is technically out of your league.

We’ll never be able to convince each other. I see plenty of men bettering themselves, but I’ve when women see the top guy out of all of them, her needle is stuck there. Many guys in my circle have realized how futile it can be if you just aren’t tall enough, muscular enough, well endowed, etc. This is in Southern California, so competition is fierce here. I don’t know where you are, but in a place with such high concentration of superficiality, it’s brutal for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 02:25 PM
3

Most of those women would be unattractive if they were men, even more so since they wouldn’t have makeup. Both men and women are far more forgiving in terms of looks when it comes to women. Even if you think men aren’t as attractive as a group, you have to realize that to make them attractive, average/below average women wouldn’t be allowed to reproduce either.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/03/22 02:15 PM
3

Women aren’t much more attractive, if at all. The biological drive instilled within men certainly tilts the scale in favor of women. If a woman is short and has bug eyes, little to no jawline, receding hairline, small boobs, and a small but, she will still find a mate far easier than male counterpart. Not to mention, he won’t have the advantage of using makeup/heels/push-up bra/yoga pants. In order for men to become more attractive on a global scale, working out and improving fashion/health isn’…

You would think they learn from other women that have gone down the same route before, and just try to identify the “SO MANY other qualities that make someone a good life partner”. But no, they conveniently go after the men who have 30 other women lined up, and expect him to ditch them all for her. Even more conveniently, by the time they ‘realize’ what they want, their youth and beauty is tapering off.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/03/22 07:56 AM

Women have an over abundance of guys that they aren’t attracted to (these guys are willing to commit), but not the ones they really want (the ones that won’t commit). The latter will sometimes choose them for easy sex, because why not. The woman doesn’t make him wait, in hopes that she can score a relationship out of it (LOL), and ends up sad. She thinks that’s her baseline level, and repeats the same process over and over until she’s nearing 30, and then settles with a guy she likely resents (o…
