Good post. I agree that this propensity to paint yourself as a victim and give yourself a permanent chip on the shoulder is only gonna make these women less confident about facing the world. Though I'll never discount that men can be exploitative or manipulative too. There are exploitative or manipulative people and there are gullible ones. India and west have different problems though. In India, the biggest problem for men is there are a few laws which can screw them over just like in western countries. But barring that, the society is not in the grip of feminist madness by any means. Men are still the preferred gender and they do have many more privileges than women. Also, because feminism hasn't taken root, there's no real sense of shame or social pressure in expressing views a typical MRA might hold.

I think people just want a lot of things in their lives and the options have increased, particularly in the case of women. So the sacrifice individuals have to make in terms of sticking with the same person or sticking to the same city or job appears bigger than in the past. So there's a lot more divorces. And when divorces happen, more often than not, moms get custody, thus leading to more single moms.
