So it’s not easy...and what? Neither is any of the shit too many women go through to try to match what ever body type/part is on trend for the year. Nor is using any of the many treatments and procedures and products marketed towards women to try and “fix” whatever the flaw of the month is. Good that men have to work to fix MPB. Maybe it’ll build some character in them

We got “ok boomer”, “ok coomer”, “ok groomer” and now “ok skank” my vocabulary getting stronger by the minute 🧠

Lol I love that. I feel like I’ve only heard it used towards women but I looked up the definition of skank and it’s technically a sleazy/unpleasant person, which is definitely more fitting of men. Shall be shutting down any fuckboys in my dms with “ok skank 🙄 ”

I haven’t been married but this was a relatable reflection!! Especially the part about being a kid - adults need to stop being meaner to kids they don’t think are “cute” or socially acceptable

This! Also my main takeaway too was don’t ask a man out first (honestly until you are in a committed relationship with him). I’ve done it personally, it’s never worked out.

Yup that’s a great strategy! All LVM would just be confused and scratch their heads trying to figure out what valuing someone as a person even means which will make it easier to see through any facade (if they can even put one up at all)

Personally, I’m not in to the type of men who use/like dating apps. I don’t find a man who can look at an app that’s commodifying dating/love/women and reduces all their effort to a simple swipe attractive in anyway. I wouldn’t hang around a smoke shop if I wasn’t in to smokers, so I won’t hang around a dating app if I’m not in to lazy men.

I’d never date or talk extendedly with a man who watches or supports porn (even passively. He better tell any friend of his to stop too) - and I make that standard known so other women know it’s ok to say that with their chests too. “Porn is normal” is something the porn industry pushes because that’s their cash cow, like the tobacco industry making commercials for kids or having doctors recommend cigs to patients 🙄

Also two days minimum. Even then chances of actually meeting two days from then are slim since I like to keep my schedule full (whether that means I’m going out with friends or I have plans for tomorrow to do my hair and watch a tv show - I’m booked). I love spontaneity with friends and people I’m close to, not guys who I don’t know are serial killers or not

If he code switches. One white guy I was with would have a fake “black-cent” occasionally or would call me “girllll” in a joking way. Very weird and out of character for him, especially since I don’t even speak like that so he wasn’t even just mimicking me.

Yup that one lol I saw one too many women on twitter saying it’s not a big deal and they’d do the same... like I wouldn’t care as much if this one woman was playing herself in peace but do have a problem with her acting like the relationship trajectory is headed in a good place (she says something in part 2 of that tik tok along the lines of “stay tuned for this guy he seems like a good one). Now she’s misleading the masses 😩 get played in peace don’t let other women think this is the standard
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/01/22 12:59 AM

Yes! I just saw a tik tok thread(?) about a woman who was trying to “stand out” to a man she just started dating - she was doing things and he said to her that she was standing out and she was elated about that... but I was thinking to myself - if he really liked you you don’t have to do much or anything to “stand out”. Now he’s just going to be expecting her to bend over backwards for him in return for giving her little nuggets of approval every so often 🙄

Reading the first slide was very important for me wow. At first I thought, of course a place we’re women and their bodies are literally a commodity like in a vending machine would be a violent place for them to be, but I think that’s with a more feminist mindset I have now. Because thinking back a little bit I feel like I never thought of strippers experiences physical violence because often in media we see the situation of the bouncer protecting them (Thinking of scenes where a man tries to tou…

The right see women as private property, and the left see women as public property ETA: to elaborate, (from an American perspective) conservatives often try to push ideologies that keep a woman “private” to her husband/household (e.g. a woman’s place SHOULD be a homemaker or SAHM with no free choice of other options) or try to control her body (e.g. banning abortion). Liberals try to push ideologies that make women and their bodies/energy/time “public” property for all men to make use of while o…

I know it’s hard but thank you so much. I’m in my early 20s and feel like I can speak for most of the younger ladies on FDS when I say that sharing your stories, experiences, how it’s affecting you now, and how you’re growing from it is very much appreciated! Speaking personally, I look up to y’all (FDSers older than the mid 20s) sooo much. From what I’ve seen euphoria is bringing important topics to light. I just notice that the director is a man and that gave me a big ick to think about a guy directing these supposed to be high schoolers (mainly girls) to do all these sex/nudity/drug scenes but I guess it’s definitely not the worst thing on tv. Correct me if I’m wrong I will admit I’m feeling this way from what I’ve seen online and haven’t actually been able to get past S1E1

That last part, exactly. That’s why we see so many men now a days (especially on the Internet) try to fear monger women by saying we’re going to die sad and a lone when in reality most older single women are happy and it’s the older single men who suffer and spiral, it’s just projection
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy07/01/22 10:31 PM

Haha yes I’m almost 6ft and I feel I’ve avoided a lot of shit situations (especially in public) because of it. I can literally FEEL shorter insecure men shrinking up next to me and I love. Definitely have that added illusion of safety which makes me act up sometimes I will admit but it has yet to fail me and I feel like a protector when Im out with my shorter (average American height women) friends 🦸🏽‍♀️

Those internet obsessed women hating men are just telling on themselves when they complain and fight about women never gifting them anything or doing nice things for them... like women do things like that alllllllll the time just not for YOU - like YOU are the problem so thanks for letting us know you’re vile and not even pick mes can conjure up a reason to be kind to you. The projection uhhgg

Even though the show was geared towards women, all the sex was geared towards men... Exactlyyyy! Because it benefits the men to have women gear sex towards them. It’s sex geared towards men geared towards women. Sometimes for the actual sexual pleasure and sometimes for the more sadistic pleasure of see the women not enjoy herself

Not exactly bad job related but it was the period when I wasn’t in school (pre occupied by graduating) and haven’t started my job yet that I participated in my most toxic hook up phase and relations with men. This idle time was bad for me because of the notion/culture that young women SHOULD be dating and sleep around - so since I didn’t do that in college I took that time gap to do it, because I thought it was the “fun/liberating” thing to do... a mistake. Once I started working and found new h…

Yup I’ve always thought that straight men who want/“like” anal are just straight up bad at sex.... like they know they can’t do anything good for a vagina so they resort to that

Jesus..... I do want to point out how fortunate it was that she was financially able to do this kind of cut off. I know how expensive moving and shipping things is and so many women in her situation probably haven’t had the fund to be able to escape like this. /r/FemaleDatingStrategy27/12/21 05:12 PM

Exactly! It kinda reminds me of the dead bed situation - men doing things that CAUSES the woman to react understandably to his actions and then she looks like the bad one 🙄 like he never does chores which makes her tired after cleaning up after him so she’s not sexually attracted to him anymore and he’s like “uwu my wife suddenly stopped fucking me :((“. He never listens to her causing her to repeat herself and doubt what she says and then he says she’s “nagging”. Similar thing

Woo finding FDS this year was such a blessing. I feel like I had all these ideas formulating in my head but never had the evidence or language to articulate it! I’m on mobile and not sure how to access my saved post but I’d say I loved any yes queen post or ones were a member was talking about them dumping a scrote or just leveling up and living their best single life 😌 Question: does the sub being private mean only flaired member can post and see posts? I’d say a lot of what FDS vetting is for is for just basic safety from men because they have so much power (societal and many times physical) that women have to stay safe in a hetero relationship. I think some part of that goes away in a lesbian relationship because the power dynamic is lessened, and now you can focus more on vetting for personality red flags, friend/family red flags, psychological red flags etc. For the date paying example it can be more on the person whose idea it was and the …

Drop him. All of those dates sounded terrible and like you didn’t enjoy yourself. Him paying and having mutual friends doesn’t make him obligated to your time, energy or body. Sounds like he ran out of easy options and is coming back to you a year later just to shoot his shot of getting his dick wet. Ick.

I feel like some men take joy in seeing how much they can play a woman.... like she’s talented, funny, attractive, and smart and he seems to be reveling in the fact that he’s got her locked with no commitment 🤕 I don’t want to put words in her mouth or project my feelings on her but imo she seemed so bubbly when talking by herself but bemused/annoyed/upset when he started talking...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy23/12/21 08:16 AM

She is such a great story teller and I definitely listen to her stories for the shock value - like messy tv. But I will say (for anyone who likes this video and watches more of her) her relationship life is definitely nothing to follow. She basically always persues men and she say that this isn’t a problem for her and how she prefers it, but then most of her chanel is dedicated to her many failed situationships so clearly it’s not working for her 😬 I want to see her win

On the FDS podcast, one of my favorite things Dr. Gail Dines said was basically that a good man should know when to stand behind and lift you up, when to stand in front of you and when to stand by your side. Love the team sports analogy!

She should’ve asked for his Venmo to request compensation for her effort and time!! Also on people using cuddling as code for sex is that to me it feels very evasive and immature (clarifying that I’m saying the way many men use this not actual cuddling itself). I’ve had a grown man ask for a re-hook up by saying “lets cuddle” and it’s like, we both know you mean sex so why don’t you just say that. It felt like he was too shy to say the “S word” and it got on my nerves - if you’re going to play me at least be direct 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/12/21 06:06 PM

Along with all the points you made, I also just think it’s not an entertaining or funny show. I remember I had it on late on might as background noise, ended up watching some and chuckled at a few jokes - but then a laundry detergent commercial came on that was 5x funnier than anything I just saw on the show so I just turned it off lol
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/12/21 12:09 PM

Thanks for sharing! And yesss that part about being dickmatized but being the better one at sex - so relatable. I play myself by saying the sex is good but then realized that I’m actually the common denominator and the mans just there so he can definitely be replaced and I’d still have fun lol Also on the point of him telling you personal things to get emotionally close - same! I thought to myself wow he’s different but no he was just on some other manipulation level 🙄

“Your girl is a pleaser”......... YUCK. Where’s that FDS post on having sex where men don’t orgasm, we need to start focusing on ourselves ladies 🤧
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy08/12/21 05:02 AM

Something about him saying to message him if anyone has questions..... is he going to do a masterclass and let all other men know how to manipulate and violate their women “friends” 🤔
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/12/21 07:29 PM
66

Men that say things like “you can’t compliment women anymore” are just telling on themselves for being inherently (subconsciously or not) creepy and ill-hearted. Like no, YOU can’t compliment women. YOU. Because they can tell you have bad motives. Ladies don’t feel bad it’s literally our biological instinct at play! The men who created the narrative of you being “over sensitive” are the creepy ones who want to hold your voice down. Don’t let them win
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy26/11/21 04:57 AM

Being without a romantic partner for the rest of your life doesn’t even sound like a negative thing! You’re going to age gracefully, stress free and surrounded by the love and peace you cultivated. You’re going to live in your peaceful home, spend uninterrupted time with your fun family, and focus all youR love and affection towards the most important person - YOU ❤️ love that for you
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/11/21 07:05 AM
24

This is such a good point! It can be easy getting into details and specific point but anything causing you stress or going against your intuition (heck even just something small you don’t like) should be cut out
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/11/21 12:46 AM
13

I’m cackling loooll he sounds SO whiny.... if this man can’t enjoy sex without an orgasm he should just stick to masturbating and stop wasting women’s time
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy24/11/21 07:31 PM
85

It’s not you it’s not you it’s not you!!!! Sounds like you’re personality is great and you’re someone with strong boundaries who knows what they want - amazing, but men who only want sex will hate that. You’re personality and looks and status and whatever else could be the best in the world, but if they only want sex and can see that they won’t get it easily from you... they’ll go somewhere else regardless of how great you are - and that’s not your fault.

I saw a tweet that said “gate keeping my sexiness by not posting any selfies” and thought that was funny, part of me (prob the part that was socialized to view my body as an object) wants to show out but the other part of me knows these people don’t even deserve to see how hot I can be 🤷🏽‍♀️

I’d say this man isn’t good at all. A nice car can be great but I’d have to say the “wanting wife to work by his side” sounds like he want free labor and is controlling. Point 2 is definitely too much info, talking about an ex so soon. Point 1 and 3 sounds like scary behavior that will escalate to him being more abusive. Walk away!! I understand though how difficult it can be to see red flag when you’re in the thick of it, so it’s great you came to people to get an outsider view!

Before FDS I had a “fwb” (read: was just being used) who talked about his going to therapy the first or second time I met him. At first I was impressed and felt like this made him special or better for some reason. I remember saying to myself “I’ll only be with men who go to therapy from now on”, but poking back- I feel he was using that as a way to bait me in to talking about my issues and seem as if he’s more emotionally intelligent than he actually was.
