Thing is that, as I explained in part in the post, I feel like it is generally looked down upon were I live. It's hard to explain, but people basically don't talk to eachother unless they have an excuse to. Again, maybe it is me who is incredibly clueless about this stuff, but I feel like if I approached people at random it would just get branded as a creep or weirdo.
