Try getting a professor position as a white male with a PhD, I'm finding it almost impossible right now. Fighting individual cases sets legal precedent, which is exactly what we need to change messed up justice systems. Yeah, we should be fighting for fairer laws from the legislature as well, but the two aren't mutually exclusive. Fighting for men's rights requires fighting individual cases (like yours) because that's how legal precedent is set. I agree with him that we need to fix the law in general, and that requires its own focus, but it's wrong to say that you shouldn't fight your own battles as well.
