Women's bodies are very utilitarian, they're designed to carry children at the expense of pretty much everything else
/r/PurplePillDebate10/03/23 12:21 PM

I am a woman. Idk I guess I suck at making friends
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 11:53 PM

OLD is a terrible representation of society. Women will be harsher on OLD because looks is pretty much all you can go off of initially.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 10:30 PM
2

Same as women, 80% of them belong to top 20% of men, theoretically Based on what though, OLD studies?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 10:12 PM
3

Isnt the 80/20 rule based on OLD studies
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 08:51 PM
2

Is this satire or
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 08:36 PM
1

Well obviously appearance does, but also how well you get along, personality, etc
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 08:34 PM
1

They date shorter guys, not so attractive guys, poorer guys etc it's not so black and white
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 07:13 PM
1

Yea I just have first hand experience of the other side. Like when guys insist that women don't read men's bio on OLD even though I know that I always did when I was on OLD. But I trust that ur experience is legit I imagine not all woman are like the women around me
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 06:42 PM
1

Yea
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 06:08 PM
1

Hell could be for other reasons I listed. The reasons were not appearance based But are you really gonna keep disagreeing with someone who’s lived that life? I'm not disagreeing I'm sure your experience is valid I'm just giving my own experience too
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:56 PM
1

You can be short but again I said you have to dramatically improve everything else. Yea but he was short and he improved nothing clearly he made negative effort lmao And answer was she in a relationship where the guy had the same personality with a taller dude and let it go on for longer? Nah I think that was the first time a guy treated her like that but she's dumped plenty of taller guys for other infractions lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:42 PM
1

She dumped him bc he started acting like he didn't like her, disappearing days at a time ignoring all her messages not because he was short 💀
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:35 PM
1

Ye my sister dated a short guy for a bit I don't think he was trying very hard to compensate tho
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:31 PM
1

So what's your undesirable trait, height?
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:24 PM
1

Yea I agree. But it is how it is
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:22 PM
1

Fair but that doesn't mean every man has the same experience. Your experience is probably more accurate than mine tho ig since its 1st hand
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:21 PM
1

Did they tell you that
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:17 PM
1

You said you'd need a passport to go to a deprived area. Actually why are we even having this conversation 😭 even in nicer areas I see women with partners that have your definition of "undesirable traits"
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:15 PM
1

I'm confused. Just go to your country's shittier area
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:13 PM

Rip
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:11 PM

You don't need a passport to move to a local shithole

Did a Korean woman steal your lunch money

No I imagine its even worse than this place
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:06 PM

Here this men need to improve literally everything to get something. Or they could just move to a slightly shittier area apparently lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:05 PM

Wym
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:04 PM

Partly you're right, but also cows are kinda cute and I'm glad her cow is ok
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:03 PM

I've lived in a slightly deprived tourist spot for most of my life and in the summer you just see hoards and hoards of unattractive overweight broke people in relationships. I don't think women necessarily need to have a preference for a trait to be happy dating someone that has it.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 03:02 PM
1

Ig it depends on the country. My bf says women from his home country are super shallow and money oriented
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:58 PM
1

Yea I would have
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:53 PM
1

But that's only true for certain women. The women that aren't shallow are the ones you want to be appealing to but you're not even doing that if you don't have a bio or some effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:52 PM

Women tend to make friends at the drop of a hat Please tell me how I can't make friends at all
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:46 PM

I'm curious
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:45 PM

These kinda guys don't want their partner to be their best friend like normal people do
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:43 PM

Ig I'm ugly or a man then because I don't get random compliments from strangers tf
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:33 PM
1

Yea I don't believe the whole "I'm wearing it for me I don't want you to look" bs. Putting your asscrack on show is a deliberate choice and if you weren't OK with people looking at it you wouldn't have it out. I wouldn't be comfortable with people staring at my asscrack so I wear baggy joggers it's really simple lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:32 PM

This shit makes me so uncomfortable in the gym and I'm a woman. I don't wanna see your butthole while I work out pls put it away.

/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:14 PM

Nah I get it, even if the father decides he doesn't want the kid, the kid is still existing and potentially struggling with no money and a broken home. Whereas if the mother doesn't want it, the kid just never gets born. So it kinda makes sense.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/03/23 02:11 PM

I'm happy for your cow

Cute but I was referring to the dating pool of a successful and hypergamous woman because I thought that's what we were talking about. Like I said, as a baseline such a woman would be looking for a more successful man. Then the other stuff like having values and being trustworthy comes into play and the dating pool is, like you said, small. However it's not lacking in quality.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/23 08:19 PM

Lmaoo that was hard to watch 😭 dude got so emotional so quick
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/23 08:13 PM

Does your male perspective disagree that being successful adds quality
/r/PurplePillDebate08/03/23 07:57 PM

Wym? If you're saying a highly successful woman is only gonna consider dating guys even more successful than herself as a baseline requirement, sounds like quality to me?

Lmao who was it I wanna see

A big part of the problem is they bring on bimbos who can’t reason or use logic to save their lives. And they get overruled by their emotions That's not a problem it's a feature, why would they invite a woman who doesn't fit into their stereotype of what all women are? They'd undermine themselves.

(emotional attachment is part of both the physiological and enviromental variables) Literally just this would explain it for me. I only want sex with my partner. When I didn't have a partner I wanted a partner so there'd be someone I could want to have sex with. Never just wanted sex in general.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 10:07 PM

On the other hand, there are absolutely 0 upsides to dating fat women. Does someone have a gun to the head of every ppd man threatening him into dating a fat woman like why are you all so pressed

All I'm saying is don't get mad at seeing such a pairing should one exist Why would anyone get mad at seeing a couple existing yall literally need to get hobbies it's concerning
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 09:41 PM

Bro tried to tell me that we should move towards a completely sexless society and just use artificial reproduction all because no one wants to fuck him
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 08:04 PM
1

But it makes you wonder why men socialize each other that way? Why are some men so virulently homophobic? I don't know, but I can't imagine it has anything to do with men having "disgusting" bodies. Look at ancient Greece for example. Male bodies were celebrated and seen as beautiful, and sexual relationships between men were normalised aspects of society. As to women's opinions of men I can't speak for everybody, but I've heard and seen plenty of women, for lack of a better word, thirsting over…
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 07:29 PM

Great well you can take that up with mother nature ill just keep having sex as normal
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 06:00 PM

It's a little bit counterintuitive but evolution doesn't pick the best possible path it follows whatever works well enough. Perhaps we should move towards a sexless society? So extinction?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 04:11 PM
2

I have 0 drive for sex with random men and never have had it. I have pretty constant drive for sex with the man I love. I think lots of women would feel similarly.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 03:51 PM
2

I guess that's just the best evolution could do. It would probably get in the way of childbirth a bit
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 03:42 PM
1

It is not normal to be THAT disgusted by your own gender. What do you mean by that? Surely you'd arguing that it is natural because men are naturally disgusting? I'd argue that men having that reaction isn't just natural, but an effect of society conditioning men to see homosexuality as wrong. But not so bad when women do it because that appeals to the male gaze. Like male homosexuality appeals to the female gaze, but society doesn't really reflect that because what women like is less important.…

Who knows but it's interesting that stats taken from within the vacuum of online dating are accurate and valid but people on reddit's opinions aren't because it's not the 'real world.'

Please wash your ass that's yucky
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 11:26 AM

Well how many women are you trying to date. Just pick one that's not fat
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:32 AM

They can only hurt you if you give them the power. Just put on your big boy pants and get over it
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:17 AM

It sounds like you need to busy your mind with a hobby or something
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:16 AM

I hear much more obsessing over height by men on the Internet than by anyone else anywhere
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:12 AM

But if u don't think about them they can't hurt u
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:11 AM

I didn't even need to open this post to know it'd be about moving to Thailand or the Philippines to get easy women
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:08 AM

Why is everyone here so obsessed with fatness
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:06 AM

No
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:03 AM

When women are taught to think for themselves, they make bad decisions and end up unhappy with their lives. Based on nothing. They require their male protector usually their father but can be grandad, uncle, brother to help her make the right decisions That's great when her male relatives are good people with morals, and less great when they're abusers teaching her how to accept abuse
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 05:02 AM

In my mind it'd be men using their strength to protect women not control and abuse them

When a woman here disagrees with them she's just a rare exception to the rule. When 20 women disagree they're just 20 rare exceptions to the rule. When 80% of women in the comments disagree its just that women on reddit are weird and don't represent the majority of women. You get the idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 04:06 AM

I wouldn't want one and I'm pretty confident that my partner would never ask for one

Sayuri matar is more beautiful than 90% girls From a male perspective maybe? But no straight woman would be attracted to him
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 03:26 AM
2

That's literally just your opinion and personal preference though. Not some objective truth of "men evolved to be less aesthetically pleasing." My partner's "absolutely disgusting" masculine traits are beautiful to me, and I'm sure most women with a normal libido would feel similarly (not about my partner specifically lmao I just mean about men in general) Edit: just read in another comment that you're gay. Of course you don't find men beautiful unless they look like women then😭
/r/PurplePillDebate07/03/23 03:21 AM

the matches were all girls I would never want to be with. You know you only match with people that you also swiped right on. Why were you swiping on women that you would never want to be with?

How soon do you feel this should happen
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 08:56 AM

So help me understand, when you're trying to find a partner, are you chatting and getting to know a few people to find out who you vibe with, and then with those people that you vibe with you start flirting and going on dates, and then if you really vibe with them you have sex? While meanwhile still flirting with and dating the other people that you vibed with?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 08:55 AM
1

Exactly, idk why some people here are struggling with this concept. It's like they're kids with ADHD who have to watch TV while scrolling on their phone, listening to music, reading a book and playing with a fidget spinner. It's not a good look if you can't take the time to focus on one person without getting restless and going off to fuck someone else between dates.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 08:35 AM
1

That sounds dumb but what do I know.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/02/23 01:44 AM
3

Well my first comment that you replied to was my personal opinion but I did mean it to apply generally. But then you started asking about how I personally progress in a relationship so it derailed the conversation to here

Me. I said, some people commit because they feel that they have to in order to get into a relationship, whereas others actually want to commit. Those people who are doing it because they have to would be fucking around outside their relationship if the had the choice.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 10:40 PM
2

I'm a woman so sex with one woman a month is probably as much as the average man could manage lmao. But anyway I don't relate. I'd rather be single than constantly going on dates with different people and having sex with people I'm not invested in.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 10:08 PM
2

If a girl doesn't physically want me I don't want her I never said to date a girl who doesn't want you. Also I wouldn't trust a woman who didn't have sex first. I'm not going to ruin my own life sorry honey Why would getting to know each other before having sex ruin your life?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:59 PM
2

Aw thanks, jealous of him or me haha. You don't need to have all those traits for someone to love you just as much though. There's plenty of women who his masculine traits wouldn't appeal to at all
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:58 PM
5

No its just that 'enjoys sex with as many people as possible' isn't what I look for in a monogamous partner
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:46 PM
2

Not even synonymous. More like, people can be different things. Does your own boyfriend predominantly meet the above traits, or does he moreso meet the second definition I'd say he has a mix of both, which is what I like best. He has a handsome, youngish face, cute smile that makes me wanna squeeze him like you would a cute puppy. He goes to the gym almost every day, so he's well built and really strong. He likes wrestling and roughhousing. He's lovely and sweet and my absolute best friend. He's…
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:46 PM

Some people commit because they have to, it's expected in a relationship. Others commit because they want to. This kind of thing separates those two people. If you want to date and marry someone who'd jump at the chance of an open relationship, date the former.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:28 PM
7

But it's also a good way of judging their interest and character. If they literally can't go a couple weeks while going on dates with you without ending up in someone else's bed..
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:26 PM
4

This mindset feels like a red flag to me. If a man isn't able to commit during the talking phase, there's a chance that he'll be able to commit in a relationship but it doesn't look too encouraging. Whereas a guy who'll happily commit even when there's no obligation seems way more likely to actually be loyal in a relationship. Also the way you see it also makes it sound like you'd be looking to cheat or leave if there was ever less sex in the relationship for any reason.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:24 PM
15

Because they have higher standards than.. you I guess?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:17 PM
5

I can't imagine that someone would be fucking around with people if they were really interesting in getting to know you and hopefully date you. They'd be focused on just you wouldn't they?
/r/PurplePillDebate27/02/23 09:17 PM
2

I mean I've often heard women calling guys they're attracted to cute. but more of a best friend than a lover" I'm pretty sure this isn't in any official definition of the word cute haha. Personally I find my bf super cute. Cutest guy ever. He's also hot, and attractive, and has plenty of "masculine" traits. It's not a binary.

However, women keep wanting legislative hoops to try and make them earn as much as men. I've noticed. Nothing I can do about it really. Just don't agree with the need for it. having no time to provide their femininity to the relationships. It's a case by case thing. Women should be free to be careerists if they want to be, and if they don't want to "provide their femininity" to a relationship that's their personal perogative. It seems unfair to me that women can gain money by marrying up or by w…

I'm still not sure exactly what you're referring to. I don't think we need to make an effort against gender roles. We need to make an effort so that neither men nor women are trapped in certain roles if they don't want to be. Maybe that's not what's happening anymore, but I haven't said it was. I just disagreed with your statement that women need to suddenly lower their standards. finding it natural that everyone has to make an effort against gender roles. And I disagree with this statement equa…

I'm under the impression that the gender pay gap doesn't really exist. Men and women don't get paid arbitrarily different wages. Men over their lifetime do get paid more because they either 1. Work higher paying jobs, 2. Work more hours, 3. Take less time off for family, or a combination of all. And probably some other factors. It's just reality that men on average will earn more. I don't think we need to jump through legislative hoops trying to change that. Just as we don't need to change the f…

but they're not marrying "lesser" men more than before And why exactly should they? If a woman is going to earn less over her lifetime than a man, is going to have to make the personal sacrifice of childbirth and the doing the majority of childcare if they ever want kids, and is the weaker and more vulnerable sex, why do you feel that she should commit to a man that is less able to provide than she is? The reason women "marry up" is because of natural selection. Because it works. Why do you thin…

Has it not occurred to you that you were supposed to seduce him into committing since it's your incentive and not his? What a dumb take. It's not an issue of semantics when you make your meaning as explicitly clear as you did. You said men have no value. They're born with no value. No point saying things that even you don't believe

women will never have to risk or deal with, experience, even close to the amount of rejection men have to risk and deal with I think this is true in general. women don't risk having their social awkwardness or social ineptness, poor social skills, being labeled as weird or creepy, I still think there's risk of this if a woman is socially inept/awkward. I was 100% seen as weird because of my social awkwardness when I was a teenager and have been told I looked creepy while just minding my own busi…

And we can still criticise people's actions of course, like if someone's lack of control over said emotions makes them an insufferable asshole or a terrible partner (the partners in your earlier comment can and should be criticised if they're lashing out at you unfairly) And obviously as follows with your example of libido lmao. But yeah the inclination itself isn't anything to be ashamed of. I'm not ashamed of having bigger emotions than my partner.

I can easily believe that I'm (a woman) more emotional than most men. I feel emotions very strongly, my mood can get ruined really easily. I'm pretty stoic in public settings though. I don't think women like to admit it in case it gets used against them. But being 'emotional' as a woman isn't some innate mental weakness, its just hormones. As long as men aren't under the delusion that they'd fare any better against emotion than a woman if they suddenly had their hormones swapped to match ours.

I'm not saying that you were doing this, but I don't think the most productive approach would be to criticise other majority groups of women for talking about benefits that they experience, that more minority groups of women do not. I think that instead we should speak more freely about the advantages that able-bodied women, for example…

I can't run a demographic poll on the commentors to confirm whether they're white and able-bodied so you may be right that the comments represent a certain demographic of women, but I wouldn't call the comments limited for that reason, since disabled women make up around 17% of the population aged 20-40, and of the I think 9 original comments made by women on this post, yours makes up 11%. I do appreciate hearing your perspective though, since it differs from that of the general population.

Most studies I could find described how disabled women find it harder than disabled men to get employment and face more discrimination in employment, which isn't relevant to discussions in the thread. However I did also find a study stating that disabled women are less likely to be married than disabled men, which I found surprising, since I'd assumed that society's gender roles would be more accommodating of a woman who is less physically capable than a man who is less physically capable.

I don't know the actual reasons for less inventors being women, but I feel like it checks out. Men are proven to be better at spatial visualisation, which is surely important in the process of designing something, and better at building/putting things together. Plus when considering how historically women were primarily caretakers, and even today (according to a recent study) over half of mothers would prefer to stay at home than work, it makes sense why less women have been and are 'inventors.'…

Immature woman makes it about herself or resents the situation and chastises man for it. I'm willing to be there's a whole lot of women (men too obviously, but in regards to this specific situation) that by default put their own negative emotions above their partners, and prioritise self soothing over supporting, so this situation with such a woman will never go in the man's favour. Yeah, I've never really understood this phenomenon but it makes a whole lot of sense when I think about it this way. It would mean that this situation doesn't occur because women are unempathetic (the opposite) or because they're more often bad partners, but instead that the emotional immaturity of women will show up more often in this specific situation than the emotional immaturity of men will. I would assume there's probably a pretty equal distribution of emotional immaturity between both men…

I really don't think women are doing it just to be mean. No I agree. I almost wonder if in general, women in relationships do empathise more strongly with their partners emotions, but as suggested in that link, are maybe not so good at being supportive despite their empathy, due to the emotional toll caused by so intensely mirroring the negative emotions being expressed. Whereas men might perceive themselves as being more empathetic because they stay at more of an emotional constant when faced w…

Men are perfectly willing to discuss their advantages, like physical strength. They sure are. What I feel isn't discussed enough in mainstream spheres are the disadvantages of being men. Feminists for example don't like it when that 'gap in the market' is filled by people like Andrew Tate or even incels, but it has to be discussed by someone. It's just there is no point to discuss the appropriateness of such actions if there is permanent gaslighting on what reality is and thus what those differences are. Sure, but I think people will resist admitting to those differences while they still feel that the differences make them somehow inferior. It's human nature to defend against perceived attack. If women were encouraged to see certain traits as positive, they'd feel less defensive and more willing to concede. Same for men.

I do appreciate not being drafted. I feel like I've gone years without a hug or compliment from the opposite sex, but that would've been my school years so maybe doesn't count. And unless you count parents as well.

Yeah I think I agree. It's definitely easier to just respond to interest than it is to initiate and pursue potential interest.

I'd like to think that everyone's suffering matters to society, but I know that's not true. I do feel generally protected by society for the most part. Edit: I'm genuinely curious which side I bothered enough with this comment to get multiple downvotes. Men that feel their suffering doesn't matter to society, even though I conceded my own point? Women that don't feel protected by society?

Agree with most of this. Being able to bear life is both a benefit and downsides imv It terrifies me but I also think it's pretty cool that we can do it? Life expectancy is longer on average This one actually makes me sad because I hate the thought of outliving my partner :( Being the one who gets asked out. Honestly I think if it were solely up to me to initiate a relationship I would probably just die alone. Or at least get to like 30 before I felt motivated to try lmao

Nah I'm way too paranoid and anxious to rely on that I pregnancy scare myself even with protection Edit: though now you mention it, my period does give me some reassurance by proving that I'm not pregnant, so that's an albeit very brief benefit

they know the guys they do get to choose from are interested. Do you think that this is always the case? Maybe it's a self esteem issue but I've never assumed that a guy was interested in me. I generally assume the opposite, to the point of being surprised if they do turn out to be interested. I still think you have a point though, because I've never really felt the need to strongly pursue someone. If I had pursued someone in a direct manner I probably would have had a better chance at being acc…

I don't personally feel like I've ever had an abundance of romantic options, and definitely not to the point of being 'spoilt for choice.' But I do recognise that as a woman there's probably a higher chance of the guy you do like liking you back, than there is for men.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 06:18 AM

So you think having a period is a benefit of being a woman? I mean it take it you're joking but no it has no benefits. Uncomfortable, painful, impractical and inconvenient. Messes up plans. Occasionally damages clothes.

Imagine calling literal misandry "antifeminist." Oh you're talking about women being prejudiced towards men? That's pretty antifeminst of you to suggest that women could do a bad thing
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 04:59 AM
2

"misandry is not at all established as a cultural institution, nor is it equivalent to misogyny which is many times more prevalent in scope, far more deeply rooted in society, and more severe in its consequences. Scholars criticize MRAs for promoting a false equivalence between misandry and misogyny." Can't even give a fucking definition without throwing "but misogyny is actually worse" in there. I looked up the page for misogyny as well and it's night and day lmao

Such entitlement in assuming that a woman found on a dating site is not a prostitute. It'd be entitlement if he found her in a brothel and didn't expect to pay.

For some people dating is meeting up and having sex. For no one is dating meeting up and paying for sex, so it's weird you find the latter more justifiable than the former.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 03:49 AM
2

No? That's kind of what they're used for. They're not supposed to be used for prostitution. That's effectively like posting something on one of those giving away shit for free Facebook groups and then when someone comes to pick it up you ask them for money.

I never had an issue on apps. Who cares about being ghosted. I went in with no expectations and no plans to date. Only swiped on people who seemed to be more on my wavelength. Just chatted with people like I would if I was trying to make friends. Ghosted boring people. Never received any angry or gross or otherwise negative messages so must've been doing something right. Found someone I really vibed with and immediately knew I had to meet them (only date I went on). Been dating for like 3 years.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 03:40 AM

Nah ur right it's super socially acceptable at the moment to shit all over men as a whole but the reverse will absolutely be criticised. Both should be seen as equally unacceptable.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/02/23 03:33 AM

Strangely enough I never got one angry or nasty or creepy message for the entire time I had an OLD profile. Literally never encountered it at all. There was one guy who got a bit weirdly attached and I had to shut it down but I still wouldn't call it creepy.

Is there any concern that it will totally fuck up people’s ability to interact with each other in the real world? No moreso than how previous advances in technology have degraded our ability to do things without that technology. So yeah probably quite a lot.

The thought of babies stresses me out I'd hate to have to take care of one alone. If me and my partner got to a point financially where he could take parental leave as well I'd consider it.

There's also a lot of sitting or standing around and staring in the gym, maybe moreso than other public places. What more to do between sets than zone out and stare into space. Sometimes you realise too late that another person was occupying that space and then you feel super awkward.

I don't plan on getting a new car for a while tbf, was just wondering about it. Can't say changing gears bothers me too much even in traffic, but then again if I were to experience the alternative maybe I wouldn't wanna go back either. Mainly because you gotta get used a bit to automatic, as in, driving 2 weeks with it. Do you have to fight against the instinct to press a non existent clutch lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 05:58 PM

Guys don't get security by handing out there phone number to already successful women I wonder, is that because they can't or because they wouldn't want to? Not being combative just curious.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 05:52 PM

Makes sense. I'd like to try automatic and see what I think. I'm not sure if more relaxing would be a good thing for me personally though, I'm quite prone to getting sleepy while driving already

How would a fully manual compare to an auto with manual mode or paddle shifters
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 02:51 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 02:38 PM

I can't quite explain why but I find it fun. I feel like auto would get a bit boring but I'll have to try it and see.

Fair, but do you not feel at all curious to try?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 02:23 PM

To a reasonable extent
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 02:05 PM

Forgive me for not knowing much about cars, are paddles effectively just a clutchless gear stick or is there some fundamental difference? It seems they only go up or down so you can't skip gears?
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 02:03 PM
1

I suppose as long as you both feel the same about it it's not that big of a deal.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 01:55 PM

I feel the same but I wouldn't want to let ego get in the way of what is potentially a better product
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 01:53 PM

See that's the argument I generally hear, but do you think that the fun of manual outweighs the inconvience of traffic or not
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 01:52 PM

They won't do that because they value quantity over quality.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 01:50 PM

So the issue would be minor dislike not breaking up

Yeah tru. But being unkind and unempathetic makes someone unattractive. Tho I'd argue that someone initially average/unattractive could become attractive by demonstrating kindness and empathy and other positive personality traits
/r/PurplePillDebate23/02/23 10:12 AM
3

What seems to matter most is if you can relate, and how you were raised. Yeah that checks out. My ex definitely hadn't experienced any mental health issues and would get frustrated with me for being down when she couldn't see any clear reason for it. Granted I could throw a bit of a pity party. I'd like to think I've matured and improved since then and I manage myself better.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 09:11 PM

Yeah I figured it's not a solely gendered experience. Lots of people fucking suck as partners.

Maybe one day you'll understand
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 09:01 PM

Of course you do you. We all have things that we find attractive and unattractive. I have no doubt that being unattractive to me won't keep you up at night.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 08:33 PM

It just means going with the flow. Reading the room, reading subtext, taking hints and being natural. All things men on this subreddit seem to struggle with, so it checks out that you don't understand it
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 06:24 PM
2

I haven't, which is why I was hesitant to use such a strong word on something I couldn't fully understand. I'm lucky for that of course. I hope you never do again either.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 05:19 PM

fetishization I nearly used this word in my last comment but didn't because it almost felt too vulgar lmao. But you're right it really does fit. I'm sorry you experienced that.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 05:00 PM

We're all oppressed, especially the poor/working class. There are definitely more ways that women can be oppressed but to say that men aren't at all oppressed is surely disingenuous. The difference in oppression between men and women gets vastly larger when you look at 3rd world and developing countries though.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 04:57 PM
2

I'm glad you've found someone who's considerate of your feelings. I don't like it when my partner cries just as he doesn't like it when I cry. Not because it's shameful or unmasculine but because it's an expression of pain and I'd rather he be happy. But suddenly everyone's saying they want to see their partner cry and it starts to sound like they get some sort of validation out of it. Like "YES he trusts me." Or if he won't "why doesn't he trust me enough to cry." His feelings aren't about you.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 04:41 PM
3

I suppose because although men and women get equally defensive when generalised negatively, currently women's defensiveness is more socially acceptable than men's. And as a result people can be a bit afraid to criticise women in the same way they criticise men. I'd imagine men feel somewhat backed into a corner as a result. I agree, but the first part people do more often for women because people just have a better impression of women. I do wonder why this is. I catch myself doing it too.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 04:27 PM
1

But very ugly people also have wives and girlfriends so by the same standard, attractiveness isn't a necessary factor
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 02:50 PM
1

That's weird I still see average looking people my age getting into relationships with each other all over the place. And hypergamy has always existed. Arguably more in the past than it has today, since the important of social class and marriage has decreased
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 02:29 PM
3

If you were to insist too hard that he open up it could cross into selfish territory. I'd like it if my boyfriend opened up more than he does. I want to be aware of his struggles so I can stand by him through them. But my own feelings about it should come second to his. If opening up wouldn't make him feel better but would make me feel better, that's not a good enough reason to insist.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 02:17 PM
2

I hope you don't feel too lonely being single
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 01:41 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 01:19 PM
1

How did others treat you that made you think you were ugly?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 01:00 PM
7

There are definitely things men suffer more from, things women suffer more from, and things both suffer from in all manner of ways. People tend to get defensive when they feel like their gender is being generalised and attacked. I think it's a combination of good people who assume everyone else is good like they are and so try to defend their fellow "good people", and bad people who cannot take criticism and thus get defensive.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 12:01 PM
5

I also find kindness and empathy incredibly attractive in a man
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 11:52 AM

I just don't want him to be hurting alone if opening up and sharing it with me could alleviate that pain. I leave him to make that judgement though, because opening up doesn't always make you feel better.

I had a girlfriend once and she eventually dumped me for being too depressed. Which fair enough she's not required to deal with. I'm still depressed but I have a boyfriend now and I never have to worry about opening up too much with him. Idk if that could be a part of a larger trend of men being more accepting of their partner's emotions or that he just happens to be a better partner. Or because he's depressed too so he understands me more. Then again I'm also a woman but I accept his emotions a…

This is kind of a rigid system but I guess the competence and action? The traits I would associate most with the kind of masculinity I find appealing are things like being protective, loyal and confident, using your strength for good kinda thing. So I guess that lines up most with competence and action. Because you're physically demonstrating your ability to do those things?
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 09:10 AM
2

Lmao what I woulda said is I respect self control. Not like I'd respect them less as a human, just that I don't find it appealing. A guy who could get with girls but turns them down and keeps his body count low is way cooler than a guy who fucks anyone that glances at him

That's sad I'm sorry 😔
/r/PurplePillDebate22/02/23 08:59 AM

Yeah I don't WANT to see my partner cry. That sounds borderline sadistic lmao. When he does open up to me and cry I just wanna protect him and support him. If a partner is really pressing you and pushing you to open up and cry to them they aren't really displaying emotional intelligence. But, if your voice starts wavering and you're getting emotionally shaky: just don't go there! What has happened in your experiences when you did this?

I don't understand why there's so much arguing and squabbling about who's more this and who's more that. Yes men are physically more capable. The rest of the things you listed can go either way. The mind isn't as easily quantifiable and the parameters are fuzzy. Who tf cares. Women and men are equal in value as human beings, and our similarities as members of the same species far far far outweigh our differences.

I don't know, when you hear how the US woman's soccer team played a "competitive" game with 15 year olds boys AND LOST 5-2, and all the debate that women are just as "good" as men... So from what I can gather, the fact that women aren't as good at football as teenage boys is a big problem for you, and as a result you disagree that women are as "good" as men. Yeah there's plenty of women like that. Depends on your social circles though I'm not sure I'd say it's the majority. If you're wealthy you can choose to associate with those women and play their games, or you can not. Obviously if you're not wealthy there's no choice. I'm with my partner because he treats me with kindness and respect. If he didn't do those things I wouldn't be with him. Yes women are physically weaker than men, our bodies are specialised in literally building the human race. Why does this make women not as "good" as men? You value children's football over the creation of the species..
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 08:39 PM
4

I just looked through your comment history you made a comment agreeing that women aren't capable of loving men, only respecting them, and men aren't capable of respecting women, only loving them. Not sure what advice to give in regards to your dating issues but that's a weird af take. Keep working on urself
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 08:24 PM

Yeah i guess all women are just too dumb boring and ugly for you. You've peaked. It's lonely at the top 😔

Unrelated but the more 'pussy' a man gets the more my respect for him decreases

Every single woman on this subreddit that gives her opinion is apparently an exception or an outlier, something isn't adding up

They should at least cover more than most, which yours does not
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 05:38 PM

Sure there's lots of shitty marriages, and many people who would be better off unmarried, but to say there's no need for a man to marry would suggest that are no unique benefits in any situation which is just not true.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 05:13 PM

OK? People's personal decisions don't need to be justifiable to you

I've always wondered why there's such animosity between the sexes. It's surely in our nature to work together and support each other isn't it?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 01:09 PM
1

Certainly. I don't resonate with modern wokeism in any capacity and the word feminism has been twisted into something sour in most privileged, first world spaces. Of course there is inherent need for and value in support of women's rights, as there is for men's. But the faces that the two sides present are getting a bit ugly.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 12:53 PM

I find it a little sad since commitment personally brings me such happiness and fulfilment, but I accept that not everyone feels the same
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 12:48 PM
1

Some people say its amoral and its what you do with it which i certainly agree with. I find many of the opinions expressed by self-proclaimed Red pillers on this subreddit to be laughably out of touch. Not my kind of people. And they don't need to be. To each their own. The unfavourable surface is a marketing strategy perhaps, but what does that say about the sort of people inhabiting this space is that is what has drawn them here?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 12:46 PM
3

It sounds like she's projecting her personal disillusionments onto you which isn't particularly healthy
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 12:39 PM
1

I can certainly appreciate aspects of it I wouldn't renounce it as a whole. I would say my partner probably fits a lot of the descriptors -- doesn't align with mainstream 'modern' masculinity, independent, works on himself, likes Andrew Tate 😭 -- but he's also misses pretty much all the pitfalls that seem to come with people in these circles (ie. Not misogynistic, hedonistic, self centred, or weirdly fixated on transaction in relationships, would definitely laugh at many of the redpill opinions …
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 12:37 PM
1

Well there's not really anything wrong with it on an objective level because values and worldviews are subjective, and I don't feel any desire to dictate other peoples' values and worldviews. I personally don't like some of the values promoted, and I'm sure many women would feel the same.

If the red pill is about being your own man, free of the influence of mainstream media, then there mustn't be any wrong way of being a 'red piller' outside of that one parameter. My kind of guy is someone masculine but self deterministic, and who chooses to value things such as loyalty and integrity.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 11:32 AM
1

No problem, just the only prediction I could make with certainty
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 11:25 AM

I just read a bit of some blog of his and found it pretty grating. Referring to women as vaginas and little girls and giving messages like "don't be loyal, honest or communicate openly." I think a guy who subscribed to this mindset would be a difficult person for me to be around.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 11:22 AM

Women to women's issues and men to men's issues, empathy is sorely lacking between both sides

Gotcha. Each to their own
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 11:11 AM

Interesting, ngl I thought it was more specifically misogynistic but I hadn't really looked into it. I guess a lot of men who wouldn't assign the term to themselves could be regarded as such. It's a pretty vague descriptor.

I think most people would do a lot of shitty things if they were given the opportunity. Nothing new here. You can still choose to live above that standard and associate with others who also do.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 11:05 AM
2

OK maybe I misunderstand the term. What's your understanding of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 11:03 AM

Fair enough. I feel like if your body isn't narrowest at the waist you can't really be called curvy

/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:51 AM
1

Christina hendricks would definitely be classed as curvy, and everyone in the last paragraph I personally see as kind of curvy because they generally all have an hourglass shape even though they're slim. Idk if that's what people tend to mean by curvy the maybe that's just me
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:51 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:34 AM
5

My favourite thing on my bf's body might have to be his shoulders oh mann People don't talk about shoulders enough. Or maybe it's just a me thing. I know lots of women have a thing for forearms lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:28 AM
1

I guess I just meant like some weight in the right places, slim waist etc
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:23 AM
2

Yea like the chiselled look is kinda divisive though I guess, not everyone is into it
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:21 AM
2

I just think that women in my experience are less narrow in what they find attractive than they're given credit for. They certainly don't all date tall, ripped, rich guys (I will give u white but that's more because I live in a very undiverse area). And not because they're 'settling' either. I feel like men see a description like mine above and think "oh man I'm none of those things no one will ever be attracted to me" but it's just not true
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:21 AM
3

In my social circles it's overwhelmingly the case that women are dating and committing. I had a roommate in uni that was casually dating around a lot and it was jarring to me because I wasn't used to it, she seemed to date a new man every week.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:17 AM
1

Yea and its also not particularly sought after I don't think, like I've never actually met someone in really life who's expressed desire for a guy with a 6 pack, but I have met women who complain about guys that go to the gym too much lmao
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:14 AM
1

I didn't mean fat I just meant like, slim but with curves I guess
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:07 AM
2

OK so in a normal healthy relationship out in the real world, the reason is generally love, affection, companionship and commitment. I know that these things don't seem to carry much weight around here but in most human spheres they are the driving force behind relationships.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 10:05 AM
9

Do any of you guys genuinely think that women will only date 6ft tall white guys with a 6 pack and a fat wallet or is that just an incel stereotype

/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 05:06 AM

I mean the definitions of skinny, slim and curvy are probably all pretty subjective and I'd imagine there's a lot of overlap. "Thicc" can also mean anything from slim but hourglass shaped to overweight. I just got the impression from your comment that you were imaging some roided out female weightlifter when you said women who lift weights, when in reality I was sure that weightlifting would create a body shape that you like without realising it. But if you're into a more skin and bone look fair…
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 04:55 AM

So you don't like a curvy frame and a big ass? I would say your opinion is an outlier among men

Why are you in a dating subreddit as a consequence of hitting someone's car?
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 02:28 AM
9

I don't know a single woman who wouldn't be "triggered" by physical cheating. That's just a lie men tell themselves to alleviate guilt of cheating.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 02:27 AM
2

Valid concern. I do feel the need to stress to my bf again that there doesn't need to be a ring and the time frame is flexible. I'd rather no ring than one bought out of a sense of obligation or like you said, with a sense of going through the motions.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 02:25 AM
1

Fair enough. Thanks for the honest answer. You're doing what you can within the confines of your reality. As long as you're both happy.

/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 02:09 AM

Yeah no doubt, though I can't speak for any women but myself. If a man wants to buy his partner an expensive ring because he knows it'll make her happy, that doesn't feel transactional to me. It's just kindness.
/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 02:07 AM

What are you talking about it's clear that OP is referring to a man who has reached nirvana and no longer desires anything in our corporeal realm. Why enjoy life and develop intimacy when you can meditate and transcend

/r/PurplePillDebate21/02/23 01:22 AM

Even so the comment I was replying to was wild, if my bf buys me an engagement ring he's not placing a monetary value on me, or making some kind of trade offer. He can propose without one if he wants. It's just nice to do nice things for each other without having a feeling of obligation behind it.

Fair enough, idk what other women were swiping left or right on so maybe for others a decent bio isn't enough for a right swipe. It just felt like the majority of profiles had 0 effort put into them. I was in the UK.
