I find that most women enjoy talking about themselves and what they're doing rather than asking questions about you, don't take it personally or as a sign of disinterest. Stick with open-ended questions that force them to talk more instead of giving a simple yes or no response. I agree, this isn't a case of the justice system favouring women. If a man comitted this offence he would get the same sentence.
