That would be a total dealbreaker for me.

I don’t think I’d want to be with a SAHD. It’s just not attractive to me. I want a provider.

Yeah, I’m just here to observe the discussion/debate.

Are people really taking the advice on this sub seriously?

This is true. I think, because OP said something along the lines of ‘overweight and obese’, I was thinking about ‘fat’ guys.

I often find the back and forth quite interesting. Also, I’m always been interested in ‘how the other half live’. My dating experiences are so very different than secular people’s.

No. I don’t find fat men attractive in any way. Also, it’s weird for me that anyone would have an issue with men not being attracted to fat women.

He has form for LTRs. 1 is too risky.

Yes, it could. Although, in practice, the married people I know all seem to be happy. We don’t marry for love - although it almost always comes later. When we’re deciding whether to get married, we look for compatibility. You could fall in love with lots of people, it doesn’t mean you’d make for an effective partnership.

Yes. I would say it’s almost nonexistent. We have professional matchmakers. That’s how ‘dating’ works.

When I say a man is ‘good at sex’, I mean he’s good at pleasing his partner. From everything I’ve ever heard about him, that wasn’t his focus. It’s not like the vast majority of the women he had sex with were consenting.

It’s a matter of degree, I think. However, I’d like to think most women don’t want assholes.

This will work for women with problems, but won’t for anyone well-adjusted.

This. I feel like even if they did ‘pass’ with their clothes on, as soon as I saw what they had down there I’d hose any attraction I might have had. ETA just the idea of a neopenis squicks me out so much.

My attraction would be gone immediately and I’d stop talking to him. I don’t have time for crappy rude people, especially when they’re being crappy and rude to someone I care about. I’d like to think my friends would also react the same way if positions were reversed.

Generally, I’d say that’s part of being a SAHM. However, I also think this depends on the number and age of the kids can have an impact. At the end of the day, married people should be able to sort this out between themselves.

Yeah, but women can’t switch bodies with a man?

You’re right. It’s important to pick the right man. It doesn’t matter if he finds other women attractive, it matters how he conducts himself. Also: why do 50% of couples divorce? It’s not because of that. Okay? This is irrelevant. You will never be this person. I know myself well enough to know I would dislike having to all the work that men have to do. Like I said before, I really love doing all these things that it takes to be attractive as a woman.

I really enjoy all of the ‘high effort’ things you talk about in your OP. I like the makeup, skincare, hair care and fashion. Additionally, I’m lucky in that it’s significantly easier for me to lose weight than it is to gain weight. I have never had that problem. You only have to worry about age if you waste time when you’re young. If you spend your twenties having casual sex instead of locking down a LTR, that’s on you. I’ve never felt like I was serious competing with other women because men h…

Why should I change the way I manage my dating life, when what I’m doing now works for me?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/22 09:25 PM

For me personally, it means that I won’t do anything with anyone until I’m married to them. (No kissing, or holding hands, even.). I don’t understand this woman’s perspective. She doesn’t seem to have a clear conviction on this. As an aside, this is why we tend to ‘date’ for VERY short periods of time.

I never said anything about single mothers. I was responding to this specific question. You’re making (incorrect) assumptions about what I believe.

Being raised by a single parent is a subpar situation for the child and it’s wrong to deprive a children of its mother. (Also, I’m not a fan of surrogacy, but that’s an aside.).

No. I would argue it’s a disadvantage. Who wants to be constantly approached by people who they have absolutely no interest in?
/r/PurplePillDebate13/05/22 12:46 PM

Sure. We’d obviously have children and I’d stop (or, at least reduce) the level of paid work I do. Especially while the children were young, childcare would be my focus. He would contribute by making all (or, almost all of the money). Re. decision making, I would try to make sure the man I married would be willing to take my views onto account. That said, I’d be willing to allow to make the larger decisions (provided he showed competence in doing so). In turn, I would expect to be able to run th…

I have exactly zero problems with ‘sexism’. I’m not a man and don’t want to be treated like one.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/22 02:30 AM

Yes, obviously. Is this news to men? Why would I want to be with a man who isn’t providing resources? That’s his role. When we have children, we’re going to really need those resources because I will be able to provide less.

Why would I lower my stands? What could possibly be in that for me?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/05/22 10:30 PM

Of course not and I’d never feel inclined to, no matter how attracted I was to the man.

I’m a Conservative and am involved with some political discussion fora. It came up in the context of feminism and gender relations, so I looked further into it.

Absolutely not. I want a real, tangible commitment. Also, having kids with someone you’re not married to is asking for problems.

Yeah, ‘go forth and multiply’ is an incredibly important commandment in Judaism. I think it’s more the religious aspect, though. Government incentives don’t tend to work to improve birth rates. Re. Lakewood: yes, it has a very high Orthodox population. We tend to live very close to each other in communities because there are religious laws that indirectly require it (e.g. kashrut, laws relating to Shabbat, and family purity laws).
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 02:01 PM

Yes. When I say that Orthodox is a minority, that’s because most Jews are secular are ethnically Jewish. However, they tend to have lower birth rates than Orthodox Jews, so we’re growing as a percentage of the total.

As compared with other large religions, we are still small.

Jews are generally a small group and we are a minority of Jews. That said, if you look at the demographic data, we are growing.

It’s actually really common in the Orthodox world.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/02/22 07:56 AM

Yeah, I agree. I think both men and women feel adrift because they no longer have their traditional roles.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/22 11:48 PM

I agree with some of this. It’s not like western dating; it’s much more focused and orientated towards a goal, instead of just ‘we like each other, we’ll see where this goes’. That said, there are important distinctions to be had in how Judaism views marriage and how Islam views marriage. It’s not really expected that women be submissive. Women should be, yes, but so must men. It’s just that for women, there’s more of a focus on dress, whereas for men it’s more focused on behaviour. We tend to t…

Personally, I don’t know anyone like this. For context, I’m religious. People date for marriage, with the dates arranged by a matchmaker. We have serious, blunt conversations about what we want/what kind of life we would want to build, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/02/22 10:17 PM

I think it would completely depend on the circumstances for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/02/22 07:15 AM

Female (although I don’t think it has much bearing on my answer). Total no-go. I’m religious, so it’s not just the government recognising the relationship for me. The fact that the government recognises it is almost completely irrelevant. I care about it only in a religious context.

This is a fundamental misunderstanding of women. We just don’t experience it in this way (like men do).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/02/22 04:30 PM

No, honestly. I find that a lot of Red Pill men have, frankly, misogynistic views and that’s obviously a complete deal-breaker for me. (And, besides, a lot of Red Pill men I see only seem to want causal sex.)

This. I want to feel desired. The first guy sounds like he’s acting indifferent towards me. Even if I find him physically attractive and we connect personally, that would be such a complete turn off.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
