There is such a thing called "nonverbal communcation". You might want to look into that.
/r/ExRedPill30/03/26 08:48 PM

I mean, you also dont have to be willing to have sex with someone who doesnt align with your sexuality. I thought that was implied in my comment 🤷‍♀️ but you do you.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/03/26 08:12 PM

Not having an issue or being fine with men living a gay lifestyle or being gay does that mean you have to be comfortable with the idea of YOUR PARTNER having sex or wanting to have sex/relations with other men. I say this as a woman dating a bi man, and am perfectly okay with him being bi. Being accepting and welcoming of the lbgtq community does not mean you have to be willing to date someone whose sexuality doesn't align with your own.

You can still be mentally unwell without having a specified diagnosable disorder. All disorders, diseases, illnesses and syndromes are just clusters of symptoms that appear together frequently enough to be determined beneficial to define that particular cluster of symptoms to achieve better treatment outcomes. This is true in the medical field as well, although they have had a lot more time to refine and and verify more precise and definite illnesses. It's important to remember that psychology i…

raped is commonly thought of an act of receiving penetration The FBI's Uniform Crime Report updated definition of rape (2012) actually does define rape as "forceful penetration" (to put it simply... I'm happy to provide links, but I tend to go overboard; last time I tried to preemptively cite a comment, I sent myself on a 12 hour research and reading excursion; whoops!) many men do not realize that “being forced to penetrate” counts as rape Technically, that would fall under the code dealing wit…

I have a theory, but it's based off of just antecedal evidence. I graduated from 2010, and we too didn't seem to have these dating problems I hear about online currently. I think it a big portion of it has to do with the school system. I tried to work as an aid for a teacher a few years back, and I just couldn't do it because I couldn't stand how much they wanted to stifle the kids. Even in the after school program, they demanded little to no cross talk during and even in between activities. I f…

Omg. That first link. I was dying laughing. That guy has to have literally the worst hook up advice ever. Honestly, the "Thirst Trap" strategy/interaction seems so fucking cringy. God, I guess I'm getting old. Made me think back to my High School days where we would do the same thing on Facebook (post a picture in hopes for interest or like a picture to show interest), except now apparently there's fucking guides for it, and people are doing it into their 20s. The people writing in the blogs cam…

Off topic, but have you watched the handmaid's tale? That series immediately came to mind when I read your comment. Terrifying piece of fiction. I watched the first 2 seasons in one sitting because I got so sucked in. I still need to read the book it's based off of.

I don't know if you're interested in another person's answer, but I'm giving it anyway. Haha! I'm female, but I've always been disgusted by the corporate career life, or even a regular 9-5. I'll admit right now, I'm having motivation issues because of a major life setback that led to major depression and ptsd. But before that - and I hope, eventually, once I work through my issues I'll go back to this - I got a massage therapy license almost straight out of high school, and was self employed run…

Is commenting with this account meant to confirm that this is an alternate account? So coletteub44 and spykidsgameover are, indeed, the same person? You replied to a comment on a different post duplicate, so if you want, we can go into what my thoughts are there. Having two separate discussions on the same subject with the same person is a bit redundant.

Oh man, I spent like an entire weekend reading up on sexual coercion in prison a while back. That was a wild ride. Rape is a serious issue, and I think its small minded to argue over who gets raped more, or who has it worse for any issue for that matter. Its a very traumatic event regardless of gender. I do want to point out that forced sexual contact isn't necessarily rape, though. It covers everything from having someone's genitalia grazing any part of your body while you are both fully clothe…

It really depends on the neighborhood you're in. There's, I think, 3 families on my block right now with kids, and I constantly see them out playing throughout the whole block and sometimes further (we have a park like 2 blocks away). I live in Texas though, so I feel like since Texas culture is somewhat centered around independence, we are more lenient on unsupervised play.

Here's the thing - I certainly don't think the majority of men would react negatively to the point of violence if I was blunt and brutally honest all the time, but the small percentage of men that have no remorse when they respond with violence to, say a rejection, for example, causes me to treat every new male acquaintance with caution and reservation. I genuinely believe most people are good people, but the potential consequences outweigh the benefits when it comes to me being candidly honest …

THIS. I will never understand how it's my fault if someone decides they want to continue our platonic relationship after being rejected. I'm a huge supporter of platonic physical (and emotional) intimacy. Human contact is so important, and it doesn't have to be centered around sex. I also always try to make it clear that what we are doing is strictly platonic, or if it could be sexual. To me though, its not hard to draw that line since I practiced massage therapy for 7 years. It's perfectly poss…

Sweetheart, you insulted me, not the other way around. The question is framed to make woman sound like gold diggers. You emphasized him losing money, and the perceived fallout of losing money. Honestly the stocks part is what cracked me up. Yes. I am. "Gotcha" questions tend to not be popular here. Your premise is that all woman want: money status looks AND marriage Which is hardly true of all women who aren't already living a privileged life. Sure, these things are important to some degree to most women, but we aren't expecting to score 10s in all of them (or we don't even want one or more of these criteria). Honestly, I can't even say any 4 of these are important. I care about your drive and willingness to improve. Many people ha…

Man honestly thats so sad. I hate hearing that. I've always been a very touchy, physical person, even in platonic relationships, and seeing people have to get their level of physical needs met through hook up culture is just depressing to me. I don't even have a problem with hook up culture, I've had my fair share of flings and one night stands, but gah I really feel for people who have to use it to get some form of physical intimacy in their lives.

I mean, me and my boyfriend were joking that a lot of babies were going to be born 9 months from the lockdowns. We've definitely been fucking a lot more than normal. But I honestly can't say I've heard anyone complaining that they couldn't get out to find a random dick. I had my boyfriend read it before I posted and he snorted at your analogy too. I don't expect you to be a billionaire, hell my boyfriend doesn't even have a job at the moment because of everything going on. We are living out of my mom's house. We're in a shitty place. Is he still kind to me regardless of his money failures and drop in social status? Hell yeah, I married him for him, not his money, not his friends, and not his status. Oh good. So they were honest and upfront about it. No. Sorry, guess I shouldn't be using local colloquial here. I meant they were absolutely not interested, but they were not up front about it ie. They acted interested to get into pants. Which, again, I don't get since I'm pretty chill about casual sex, just let me know that it's casual sex. No, some have been straight up they were not interested in something other than sex. I used to be really obsessive (I mean I still am, but not so much over relationship bullshit anymore now that I'm older) and would go through mutual friends to find out what the deal was. Some just couldn't stand my intense personality, which is totally understandable. Some have straight up told me exactly that, that they lost interest, and sure that still stings, but not nearly as bad as being misled. Usually I…

Yes. Thats what I am saying. I am very up front about it usually, something along the lines of "hey is this a hook up, because that's cool, I just wanna know where you stand" and its usually followed by something not as cheesy as "oh no baby, I'm super interested in you/I could see myself dating you" but you get my point. I have never expected commitment or a relationship from a bar hookup. Wtf. I do get upset when I've been talking to a guy for a few weeks who's acting like he's interested and actually enjoys my company, and when we finally fuck he ghosts me or suddenly loses all interest in talking except to initiate sex. Especially when I make it pretty clear I'm cool with just a hook up, but they're the ones acting emotionally invested. Like, I make it pretty clear up front that if they aren't actually intere…

I think there's a little misunderstanding here. It sounds like they are defining "human contact" as an emotionally fulfilling encounter, whereas you're defining it as physical contact. While yes, physical contact is important, it still feels really shitty to participate in physical contact that you perceived as more emotionally connected than the other person was leading it on to be. Yeah, I feel like the OP didn't quite interpret that part correctly. From what I've observed, these men don't necessarily crave a relationship, but most of them do seem to be craving physical intimacy. I think the problem is because they feel so sexually starved, they don't recognize or acknowledge physical contact as a separate and independent need/craving. Of course, I have a background in massage therapy, which has caused me to see how nonsexual physical contact can greatly improve your mood …

IZombie and the 100 definitely have female protagonists, but they're flawed. The "antagonists" are never really framed as the super villain evil type. I see them as human, and their background makes sense for how they end up into the position they're in. Let's see... Z nation (yeah, okay I have an obsession with scifi and apocalypse ha), Another Life, Stranger Things, The Handmaid's Tale, The Strain, 11.22.63, Black Mirror, How To Sell Drugs Online Fast, New Girl, Snowpiercer, That 70s Show, Los…

Yes - dancing with glow sticks. I get where you're coming from, and yes! I always felt at home when I attended a rave. But I just don't think it's in the cards for me anymore. I've been through a lot of trauma, and it's just definitely changed my lifestyle. I have found other ways to be happy, even though I miss the scene. But to be honest, I think I'm secretly scared even going to a rave (definitely if I went by myself) would trigger some PTSD.

There's a college town I could go to 2 hours away, but honestly it wouldn't be the same without the friends I used to party with. Many of them moved off. Some of them stayed here, but we're usually all too busy to try to take a trip like that. Instead I just jam out to dubstep insanely too loud in my car while getting weird looks all over town. I live in a really conservative city. The "partying" scene here is just not something I enjoy, not like with the social group and community that was here with the rave scene. Most of the main dJs moved to a more "raver friendly" city, and it completely morphed the scene.

In general I don't feel that I can express certain things around certain girls because it's viewed as weakness. Even feelings for the girl! I don't really like it, but it's been mostly the case for me so far. Things like this break my heart. But in general, I did try to be a stable person, a guy that people could rely on. Staying stoic with no outlet whatsoever will definitely take its toll. For sure, I agree with you. It's important to find a healthy outlet for your negative emotions. That is one thing I definitely sympathize with men over, especially because some of them really aren't taught how to properly find an appropriate outlet. The idea that men should only be stoic has really screwed up some males. Anyway, seriously, thank you for taking the time to explain the honesty concept to me. I've been struggling to fully understand that one for a while.

I'm overly snarky and blunt, so it tends to not bother me. I even occasionally shock some of my guy friends with my "harsh truth". Haha. Jesus christ, what a bitch. It's just foreign to me because my social circle has never really been that shallow either. You'll never understand, this is why men talk about it, so women understand what they go through at least a little bit. Actually now I think you're misunderstanding me. I don't understand it from a girl's perspective. I understand it from the men's, and I have talked to many men about this before. Men and women both go through shitty things. Don't play the victim game to me. I …

"real man to protect them" I'm sorry but has that literally been an actual rejection line given to you? That's just fucking insane to me. Like I said, I'll literally never understand. I've dated as short as 5"2. I have never rejected a guy based off of height. Height has never been on my "criteria" list. I just straight up do not understand it. Everyone is tall to me from down here. Lmfao
/r/PurplePillDebate30/01/20 09:19 AM

I will never understand the height thing because I am 4"10, so literally every guy has been taller than me... I honestly don't think I even know if I'd find a guy shorter than me unattractive.

I don't believe being a SAHM is unfulfilling. But I'd rather women have a choice other than just SAHM. If anything, I think being a SAHM has become a more prestigious position than it used to be, since now it can actually be an option instead of mandatory. Although I know not all women hold the same attitude towards it that I do.

I mean, "wyd" is essentially different from "what are you doing?". Also, isn't that what this sub is for, so we can be a bunch of asocial weirdos deconstructing normal social interactions? Hahaha

I use it to see if my best friend is free/I'm not interrupting what she's doing. The difference is that I've known her for several years. If I got "wyd" from some rando dude, then yes, totally a booty call. Haha

Nobody was talking about that. I mean, the post referred to even in the OP says that a guy has sent "wyd" 3 times that day. I think it's worth talking about. I'd argue quite a few people have talked about it, considering the amount of replies the user you yourself are reply to got. If the girl didn't answer to the first 2, this seems kind of obsessive and desperate. If she did answer the first to, it seems pretty low effort if you don't have anything of substance to say to her replies, but conti…

I had an issue with this exact same thing in regards to this sub for a while, until I started taking most of the claims and/or views stated on here only in the context of dating and sex. Sometimes I try to gently remind some users that we are more complex than just our social dating side. Some radical users also seem to believe that we all only apparently matter in that particular context. I just role my eyes or laugh when I see them though, and scroll on by.

Having a single fling or one night stand is the definition of promiscuous? No. Sorry. Words have meaning. Promiscuousness is "characterized by many transient sexual relationships." Now, what constitutes as "many" may vary between different populations and groups. But very few individuals would consider a single, or even 2 or 3, fling(s) promiscuous in our current society.

People don't always see or recognize adverse behaviors when starting a relationship with someone new. Sometimes the relationship were when these people were younger, and they didn't know how to recognize these traits. Sometimes the ex efficiently hid these behaviors during the beginning phases of the relationships. Sometimes people get "rose colored glasses" when they are first interested in/infatuated with a potential partner, meaning they are blind to these negative traits because of their inf…

You can never completely know who someone is. There have been a few people I have gotten involved with that I didn't realize how incompatible we truly were at the time. There's also the "rose colored glasses" phenomenon, in which you only see someone you're interested in/infatuated with's good traits, while completely blind to their bad traits. For example, a girl twitterpated with some dude, but all her friends bewildered why, while trying to tell her that he's a cheater/liar/insert whatever ba…

I'm kind of late to the party, but wanted to answer anyway. How many of your ex boyfriends were absolute pieces of shit? I wouldn't refer to any of my exes like that (even the guy who raped me). I agree, to a certain extent. I strive to be around people better than me, simply because that helps me mature and grow as a person more. I can see this not necessarily true when looking for a mate, though. If you're actively looking for a mate, you don't want to be, for example, a 5 hanging around a group of 8 or 9s. You won't be able to attract anyone this way. (As a disclaimer though, I think I rarely use a 1-10 numbers scale irl, and I think trying to find a mate by doing so is just going to…

I wasn't trying to say that lust or attraction wasn't part of love. But that's just it - they are only a part of it, not the full package. I am attracted to many people, and I lust over others besides my boyfriend, but I don't romantically love any of those people. I'm not going out to fuck them, I just admire their looks. Do you not think that way?

Well, words do have meaning. We are all the masters of our own reality. I never claimed my interpretation was the soul definition. If you disagree, you are welcome to say why. I even ask for how you define love in the post. I was looking for an open discussion, I wasn't trying to attack anyone.

Women do include “erotic” when they are “in love” with someone romantically. Women definitely think about sex, I'll agree (I'm being a horndog right now waiting for my boyfriend to get home hahaha). But when we discuss it on here, I've seen many women dismiss the erotic attraction side when they describe love. It's an odd phenomenon. Like they know they get horny. A sort of tipping point I guess, where it goes from "I love you" to "I'm in love with you." But you're not sure where this tipping point is, or what causes it? I'm not trying to come off as judgmental, genuinely curious. I don't think I can quite pin it down either. But I also think it's not just a mix of the two anymore. I used to subscribe to this definition, but I feel like it is too narrow for me now. I love my best friend. I also am very attracted to her (I'm bi). I wouldn't define our love as romantic though. The love I have for her is different from the love I have for my boyfriend.

I've seen women get married in case the guy leaves them. Not all women who marry do so for this reason, but there's a good percentage. I'd also argue, as a woman, their are far more consequences for me than not marrying. I felt the effects of that from my last relationship. I am agnostic but steal from my upbringing when it services me! I tend to identify as an atheist for simplicity, so I feel you there! Take more time in dating before having sex. It has nothing to do with moralizing or prudishness. I just think once sex gets included the water muddies even more between lust and attraction. By holding off (even just a bit, maybe the three date rule is enough?) it gives space for attraction and attachment to develop which gives us motivation to still date even after sex. Thats a great suggestion! I really dig it. true love takes about two years to really develop (the amount of time to rewire the …

Okay, I see what you're saying. Although marriage is a recognized way to pledge your allegiance to work as a team with another, I don't think it's the only way. Not all relationships outside of marriage lack duty, is what I mean. I've never liked the idea of marriage simply because I don't think the government needs to be involved in my relationships, but I am still loyal to my partner.

Interesting. I've never considered any of my feelings as love as "boring", but I see what you're getting at. It's definitely not all consuming, and I wouldn't call it exciting all the time. But I think maybe I'd refer to it as still enjoyable.

There's many sermons from my childhood on love that I like to refer back to when thinking about the topic. Christianity and some of it's teachings really do have some great explanations for love! I don't think love is only action, though. I see what you're getting at, but sometimes I just like to sit in awe about how much I love my boyfriend (although maybe I am wrong and this is just adoration).

That was absolutely beautifully worded, and aligns very closely with my own thoughts on love. Thank you for your input! Also, I'd like to add you can just ask for the full report on your test results. I always do. You can see what level they are at for yourself. My test last summer was a negative for HSV-2, and the antibodies were pretty well below the threshold. This will normally mean the body was exposed to it, but was able to fight off the virus. They are just still present in the blood in case the body comes into contact with it again. This is how all viruses work.

I'm also thinking of a messed up hypothetical scenario where if M and F both get tested at the start of a relationship, M gets a false negative and later infects F, then F starts to show symptoms because she doesn't have the antibodies yet, and M accuses her of cheating... I mean, wtf That's the problem with our society having such a negatively stigmatized view on STDs. Many just don't even bother taking the time to actually learn how the majority of STDs work. This makes the term STD appear lik…

Ooo, I like this. I always try to promote understanding and empathy when I can, and this sub tends to be overly critical. As a general rule, I try not to be too critical of either gender, but I'd like to answer for both anyway. It's true that the virus spreads more easily during an active outbreak, but it can and will still spread through skin to skin contact without an active outbreak. Also, cold sores aren't exactly the only way herpes presents itself. Some "cold sores" aren't even the herpes simplex virus, they are just a sore that developed from a different virus or a bacteria. I think the most confused one is the canker sore, which has several other causes other than herpes.

What the hell. The WHO organization, which the article uses as it's resource, says 67%. Not 90%. 67% has always been the number I've seen consistantly over all research. You can contract herpes from sharing any objects that have made contact with the saliva of a person who carries the virus. WHO also says nothing about this. From everything I've read, that's a myth. There's such a low chance to catch it from someone who has it if they don't have an active outbreak if you share objects that its a…

I'm not really sure what you're trying to imply here. I caught hsv1 2 years after my casual sex phase. The chlamydia literally took a week to clear up. Since when does a boatload mean 1? Also, an LTR is a relationship that is at least 6 months long. I would've said STR if they had been as short as what you're imagining (hell, I probably wouldn't have even defined them as a relationship at that point). I had my fair share of casual sex, but both stds I caught were in LTRs. The first was hsv1. The guy didn't tell me he had it until after we had already slept together. I'm still kind of miffed about that. When I first got tested, it showed positive for both hsv1 and 2, but I've only ever had one outbreak. I got retested last summer and it only came up positive for hsv1. Honestly the whole situation is kind of weird. None of my partners afterwards have ever come up positive either. The second was…

The only problem is that women view sex and intimacy as one and the same thing - they feel disgusted to have any physical contact with most men. What? No, I adamantly disagree with this statement. Almost every woman I have ever interacted with revel in giving and receiving nonsexual physical intimacy. Women are the ones usually demanding to cuddle. Most in my circle are completely comfortable with platonic physical intimacy from both males and females - cuddling, touching, hugging, sleeping in t…

Trying to explain math over text is just arduous. I guess I should've said: I read what you said as, "if you obtained 333 new partners in the last 3 years, then in 10 years you will have accumulated 3333 new partners." Ah. You know what, never mind. I read it incorrectly. 3 digits in 3 years means 333 to 3333 in 10 years. I read this as 333 in 3 years means 3333 in 10 years. That would actually be 1110 in 10 years. Of course, to be fair, you had originally typed 3 years means 333 to 3330 in 10 years. which is why I read it the way I did in the first place.

That's what I was just thinking. In what world do women not talk about their hookups? When I was in my party phase, it was pretty common in our group to even "report" on certain guys to women you barely even know, to either warn them or recommend the guy. Haha! I mean heck, one of the popular bars here has a wall in the women's bathroom where there's a list of guy's names to avoid carved into it/sharpied on, along with other useful info.

This is true. Honestly all I can think about right is the guys I've fucked only once but we've been friends for years. Would that be considered a ons? I hadn't thought too hard about it till now, but now I'm like "what would PPD consider those?" I've always just called them a hook up, but there doesn't really seem to be a label specifically for that experience. Men don’t read romance novels specifically because they are NOT porn. By saying that, you're equating what is sexually appealing in porn is, by default, a man's definition. Women do read raunchy romantic novels for the same reason men watch porn, because that's what they find sexually appealing. To ignore that many of the men are portrayed as a potential provider, in works created specifically to appeal towards a woman's sexual preference, is willfully ignorant.

This is such a stupid question/comeback. You can increase your glutes and pectoral size through exercise. Guess what - that's gonna give you a bigger butt and boobs. I've literally gone up a full cup size from my average size before, by exercising regularly. I've also gone down a full cup size from my average size when I was extremly depressed, which led me to being very sedentary and barely eating. It is not as hard as overweight people in America love to lament to lose weight and keep it off. …

Although they can mean the same thing, simple can refer more to being able to comprehend a task or concept, while easy would refer to the ability to actually do the task. I think it would be more accurate to say, "simple and easy don't always mean the same thing."

I honestly didn't learn too much from my fellow female friends. Sure, they helped a little, but a lot of it is trial and error. What skin products work best for your skin (and in the case of females, what make up colors work best with your skin tone), what clothes style work best with your body type, and what hair styles and hair products work best with your hair type/body type. Sure, some information on the internet can be wrong or questionable, but I take the same approach as I did when doing …

That was beautifully written. Thank you for taking the time to explain it all. I hate how a lot of things discussed on this sub get too dumbed down, and most don't want to take the time to look at all the complexities and nuances taking place in the topic they're discussing.

Fair enough. I just wanted to give a trigger warning in case you weren't mentally prepared for it (mainly because there was a time period afterwards for me where I wasn't able to handle such topics, so I try to look out for other people who may be in that position). Honestly though, I can't believe someone would say that rape was the standard of living and not traumatic until recently. That's some crazy rationalization being done.

I had to go back and reread it a few times, I think you may have been a victim of autocorrect. The word "mom" threw me off, plus personally I've never thought of NLOG as feminine, and I took part of what you said as women try to prove their feminine by saying they're NLOG. I am female, so technically flicking and not wanking. Ha! Reguardless, denying myself masturbation would be detrimental more than anything. Orgasms produce several hormones and neurochemicals at a higher rate than normal, such as dopamine, vasopressin (reduces the sensation of pain), serotonin, and oxitocin. If someone is clincally depressed, orgasming can actually help kickstart their brain chemistry and help them reduce anxiety as well as become more motivated and energized for the day. (This …

Personally I'm just blunt and ask them. Not rudely, but opening a dialog on how you show your affection, and inquiring on how your partner thinks they show affection is a bad idea. It can be difficult to navigate through conversations like that without soundinf accusing though. I have a big "if I say no, that's final" standpoint for sex, but part of that is past trauma, and part is current medical issues. Even with that though, I'd say me and my partner turn down sex about the same amount. If he wants, I'll get undressed and let him masturbate to me too if I'm not in the mood. We're both pretty open about our masturbation habits to eachother, so I think that lets us have a pretty lax view on "who decides" to have sex.

You do that then 🤷‍♀️ why even ask about women not wanting casual sex. Just go pay for your hookers. Don't worry about the rest.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/19 08:04 AM

Not by casual sex, or even intimate sex. It took a lot of work on myself, and a lot of work (unfairly) from my previous boyfriend. Choosing not wanting to be bitter made me stronger. But I wouldn't have recovered as well as I've managed to without my support group. That just is not going to happen from casual sex from some dude that wants to get his dick wet for the night... poor guy would've probably had to deal with me bawling. Not what he signed up for.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/19 08:01 AM

If you aren't horny right now then you seriously have no etiquette. I'm not sure if you're trying to just be funny or what, but your vulgar lack of empathy isn't really going to make any woman want to sleep with you casually.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/12/19 07:53 AM

Ew. Dude. No. I've been raped (multiple times, by the same person. Drugs are bad, mmkay). That's not how this works. My boyfriend has to deal with me having flashbacks and straight up panick attacks if he just happens to touch my hips wrong and I'm already jumpy. It took 2 years to be able to have sex not on drugs for me. It took another 2 to actually begin enjoying it again and initiate with my boyfriend. That's just not even something to be taken so lightly like that.

You aren't going to remove any inhibitions going about it the way you are. I'll give you a genuine, thought out response with even personal experience, but if I'm being truthful (and I'm not trying to be hurtful or hateful here) it honestly just seems like you're thirsty af, considering the time of night it is and they way you phrased your post, and just wanting to talk about sex right now.

I was pretty thrown off on this as well. Its far more likely to be caused my sexual abuse or trauma. That alone would keep most women from having casual sex.

I have about the same amount of sex as I had before we got together. Sure I go through spells with low libido, but he doesn't care. He hadn't gotten sex for a year when we got together. Lmao Honestly I'm bewildered why this keeps getting brought up. Do guys collectively think women will be more open to it if it keeps getting shoved figuratively in their face? Its honestly pretty off putting. If I was in a casual sex phase, it would honestly kill my desire for it. Are you genuinely curious or are…

I doubt you would've ever gotten a chance to anyway. I mainly tried to stick with fwb. The ons usually involved drugs. Which I think trp adamantly speaks out against if I remember correctly. I still like sex. Its just much easier to get it from my boyfriend.

No one wants to be used. The women on this sub do not want casual sex. You aren't going to convince them otherwise. This topic literally pops up at least once a day here. I already did my casual sex thing. I'm over it. It's also just not all that great.

I mean, to be fair, I usually only want penatration sex with no forplay for a few years now. I got sick of getting yeast infections. Most men's hands or mouths just aren't clean enough. I could make him go wash every time, but honestly its just not even appealing to me anymore. Everyone's different. Really the key is communication.

I assumed it meant, unlike a contract, you can back out after you sign. You can be able to withdraw consent at any time. I'm honestly really grateful for this. I've gotten raped repeatedly from a previous partner. Yeah, I know, I made some shitty decisions. But my partner understands this, so if we're getting busy but I suddenly get triggered, he has no problem backing off.

But now that I'm really thinking about it, I was incorrect. Sorry. Do you guys really just assume most girls don't have the same interests as guys? That's just some crazy experience to me, if that's really what y'all are observing. I've literally never spent time or hung out with a guy unless we had something in common. Really hope you don't think I'm trying to be rude or anything, but as a counselor, wouldn't you know the difference from emotional labour and emotional work...? Emotional work is what most moms are having to do at home. Emotional labour is a term coined by sociology for fufilling the social requirements of a job. Or is it just not accepted as that in your field? Honestly curious.

it's not socially acceptable to tell people to be quiet Ugh. I feel that. Thankfully I've got mine under control for the most part, but I hate big family events like Thanksgiving and christmas because they are so LOUD. What emotional labor is: Managing the emotions of other people and making them feel good about themselves and their current situation at the expense of your own well-being. I mean if you're going to be that pretentious about the definition, you could just look it up instead of getting it wrong. Sociologist Arlie Hochschild provides the first definition of emotional labor, which is displaying certain emotions to meet the requirements of a job. So if we really want to get technical, mostly everyon…

I've not once seen it be used in the context of being emotional of caring about a friend Really, because that's how I typically define it... I just don't often complain about it. Housework is definitely not emotionally draining to me. Sometimes physically draining, or mentally draining if its a huge mess that requires organization. But I don't think I could ever say it emotionally drained me.
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/19 09:27 PM

That's kind of a strange statement. Just because I decide, "oh you know what, I'm gonna call this a job now!" doesn't mean I'll get monetarily compensated for it. Who exactly is supposed to be paying me? Besides that, labour is only tied to a wage when it's confined to its economic definition. I'm hoping the majority of us aren't seriously affixing economics to relationships..
/r/PurplePillDebate14/12/19 09:20 PM

The word labour is historically tied to economics, and has been defined as "work exchanged for a salary or wage" in economics since the industrial revolution. Not that I don't agree with you. I find it slightly annoying that its so tied to the economic definition when the first listed dictionary definitions mention nothing about money or getting paid. But its just one of those silly english language nuances.

That's... a significantly smaller number than the 90,000 you're claiming. This is before even breaking down to different categories of what is considered rape. No, there is a reason I phrased it the way I did. If a woman is only griefing you/giving you negativity, you aren't going to stay with her. Both men and women can become permanently disabled. Both are capable of becoming bitter from the experience. No one wants to be around someone who is a constant source of negativity. Its draining. I would expect a guy to leave me if I'm not giving him any emotional support, and if I'm refusing to correct my behavior.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/12/19 05:04 PM

You're assuming the woman is demanding expensive dates. Normally, this isn't the case. The original commenter even mentioned that she outearns her partners. What makes you think she would demand expensive dates that the man pays for if this is the case? Dates don't have to be expensive.

It was poorly phrased, I feel. If you're already with him in a committed LTR and he becomes permanently disabled, most women aren't just going to leave him, at least simply from the fact he has no earning potential. Becoming permanently disabled can lead to many people becoming overly bitter, which will cause your SO to leave if they're only receiving negativity from you. Except there is a need to regularly make this descriptive statement so that we can keep our mindsets in reality. "The modern man and woman are both inherently disposable". "The modern man is disposable" is a descriptive statement made with no positive or negative qualifiers. That is to say, they inherently have no value (in my opinion, the modern woman inherently has no value either). They're replaceable. One must make themselves valuable by bettering their skills or traits. For example, you can sex with any woman, but they are just as replaceable as the next unless they have qualities you deem valuable. Likewise, a woman can date or have sex with a man, but unles…

Positive statement is an accept term in the social and economic sciences. Its a statement that is fact-based, with no value-judgements such as positive or negative. I think I may be misunderstanding what you are asking, so would you mind clarifying before I answer? Are you asking if you oppose the red pill, then you are seen as bp? Or are you asking if you debate here, you automatically oppose anything that is bp?

The only problem with this is that this particular debate forum is centralized around the red pill. If you're debating here, you're expected to understand the base premise that we have already agreed upon as the center of our debates. Nobody here is going to want stop and explain the basics when thats not what its supposed to be about. Not to say trying to explain the basics isn't a good thing to do. It can even help yourself have a better understanding. I personally don't like to past specific …

That woman already had her own issues before she did that in my opinion, so I have a hard time taking her seriously. Like you should've realized that before doing your stupid experiment? But thats rude, so I'm going to try to not get into that whole thing. We'll just have to agree to disagree then, which is fine. Have a good day, sir!

Yes, the purple pill debate is used to defend or challenge eachother's views, which is why I enjoy lurking here. Sometimes it can be nice to see a healthy exchange of ideas and arguments. Sometimes people here get hung up on their own views, which is fine too. Its hard to try to be open to new ideas all the time. When I see myself doing this, I try to take a break. I had no idea what the red pill was. I don't even remember how I stumbled across this forum, but the first time I had heard of the r…

If the people around you are not reaching out to help you when help is needed, change your social enviroment. This is what society in general is about. In a village, you help out your fellow villager to help further the entire village. This seems like a personal hang up. If you live in a negative environment, of course everyone is going to be hostile to you. Healthy social circles lift you up. I see this constantly at the car shop my boyfriend works out, which is ONLY male employees. I spend tim…

Men talking about how they apply the red pill to their life mostly. I'm not going to say anything negative about it, since apparently people are out in force this week to try to start an argument, even over my personal opinion. (This isn't directed at you in any way either, its just been the norm to the replies that I've been getting. I have no problem debating. That is fair, and I do appreciate you taking the time to think and clarify what you said. With that said, women are bitches to their friends, we are no strangers to that. I'd probably be considered a bigger asshole than most men here because I love communicating with sarcasm to my social group. I've even been told that I'm overly mean by people I didn't realize were not comfortable with that way of communicating. Both men and women can be assholes. Both men and women treat the majority of strang…

Indifference is not rude or cold. If you have read any part of this comment thread you replied to, you would see the common theme is men seem to defend being rude, being an asshole, or belittling (yes, words used throughout this whole thread) to women as "well thats how we treat other men". If I treat you with indifference, I treat you neither good or bad. Either you decided to comment on a thread without bothering to read it, or you're choosing to be willfully ignorant of what is actually being…

Since its an official red pill term, mods don't see ot as an insult. Honestly first reading I got pretty offended by it, but like most redpill terms I find here, I've started using it here and irl, usually in sarcasm because I find them hilarous.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/19 11:48 PM

Bahahaha yeah that was kind of my point. But they use it to try to say any reasoning from a woman is irrational, usually.

Uh. No. Thats what you're interested in. That doesn't make it where the cut off is. I've seen plenty of men state the age as high as 30 on here, the supposed age where women tend to hit the wall. Regardless, the only people wanting this actively are younger than 18. So I guess you aren't talking about the correct democratic then, huh? One example does not equal what the vast majority of average women want.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/12/19 10:05 PM

All three were completely different examples. Quit being willfully obtuse. That isn't even what you were originally referring to. Lashing out in and of itself because you got rejected isn't acceptable behavior. End of story.

Not appreciating getting used for anything, not just sex, isn't spoiled. Do you appreciate the thought of getting used just as a form of income? No? Then stop calling us entitled and spoiled. I don't want to be seen just as a means for sex, and I definitely don't want a boyfriend that I use for an atm. This isn't how healthy people think. This is really only a fantasy of younger people. You'll eventually decide that you want monogamy or polygamy. Wanting multiple exclusive boyfriends is still a fantasy. Sure, you may want multiple boyfriends, but eventually you'll become mature enough to relize thats not a true relationship, and only trying to get into a relationship to benefit you and not your partner is just asking for disaster. Its selfish, and I'd rather have a give and take in a relationship because its more real and genuine…

This is so true. If you needed trp to realize this, then thats cool, I guess? I'm glad you finally got it. Just because you've come to this relization through trp doesn't make trp completely true though. Many men have figured this out without the help of the trp. You ain't special for finally getting something that many have already understood, and people that don't subscribe to trp aren't inherently wrong. They just reached the same conclusion without it.

You should dump someone if they're a terrible lay. You aren't compatible sexually. Doing so doesn't mean that you can't wait till the other person agrees that they are willing to commit before having sex though. You can decide to not see one after a ons because they are bad at sex just as easily as you can dump a new SO because the sex wasn't up to your standards.

Dude, the anime industry has some fucking WEIRD fantasies about dating and sex. Its mainly because Japan effectively banned porn for decades. Those poor people are so sexually repressed. Using anime to try to measure what mainstream people want is not a good indicator. I'm not saying what some anime portrays is inherently bad, but its a far cry from what an avergae person is looking for, and you need to understand why it has turned into what it is.

The central truth of the Red Pill is that women have a dualistic sexual strategy. The Red Pill is all about female behavior. Those wily minxes are always up to no good. A person's worth is subjective, not objective. If you tie my worth to the number of sexual partners, that's fine. I do not tie my worth to that. I'd rather be with with someone I enjoy being around who doesn't care about my n count rather than some prude who's obsessed with it.

I thought she was pretty clear she knew the scenario was exaggerated, and that was the point. To me it just read is "you sound as ridiculous as this obviously fake senario when you talk incessantly about a girl's n count" along with "you're a hypocrite to be furious over a high n count when you yourself have one". Thats the thing about stories though, I guess. We can interpret them how we want to.

We are dating now. If they don't care about mine, I don't care about their's. Also, I lol'd at "girls have a special bond with their first partner". That shit was like, almost 15 years ago for me. I honestly never think about that guy, and honestly cringe at the thought of trying to reconnect with him.

I meant you as a collective, not you personally. I figured you wouldn't already from your previous response. If you say so. I find it an easier defense mechanism. I don't go about my whole day ruminating on some guy being a jerk/rude to me. But I'm also not obligated to treat him with respect.

How am I trolling? Because you disagree witu what I'm saying? Why are you refusing to respond to what I'm actually saying, or answer the question that I asked? Women joined the workforce BECAUSE the quality of life improved, not the other way around. Your original comment. I disagree. Women joined the workforce because of the changes in the textile industry during the industrial revolution. They migrated from working from home by selling textiles to working in factories. Though this ties back in…

OH. I see what you're saying now. Sorry about that. I was referring to the first link with charts. I dismissed the second one because it says after what you quoted: nobody is sure why. I also was under the assumption that longer life expectancy doesn't necessarily mean that there is an improvement for overall quality of life, and that you were trying to prove that the industrial revolution caused life expectancy to increase. They seemed to increase at the same time, but the industrial revolution…

The industrial revolution is generally defined as 1760-1840. Both of your links start in the 19th century. Most of the working class didn't see an increase to standard of living till the end or after the industrial revolution (or the first industrial revolution, at least). Women were already in the workforce by the time their quality of life started improving. They worked in factories because the introduction of factories essentially made making textiles at home unprofitable. https://webs.bcp.or…

Do you have any resources to cite for that? I'm mainly seeing that at the beginning of the industrial revolution, women who used to spin and weave cloth at home for money had to move to working in a factory because they could no longer afford the evolving equipment to do so. Seems to have nothing to do with doubling the workforce or lowering salaries. Many women tended to leave the workforce when they got married/started a family, and their children often had to work to help supplement income. T…

while growth of the economy's overall productive powers was unprecedented during the Industrial Revolution, living standards for the majority of the population did not grow meaningfully until the late 19th and 20th centuries, and that in many ways workers' living standards declined under early capitalism: for instance, studies have shown that real wages in Britain only increased 15% between the 1780s and 1850s, and that life expectancy in Britain did not begin to dramatically increase until the …

People stare. Not just men. I stare in public (though usually for different reasons than men. Usually I'm just making up backstories about people in my head, though occasionally I do stare because someone is visually appealing). Some women have a problem with it. Some men do too (literally just had a conversation with one of my male customers the other day about how he hates going out in public because of unsolicited attention). As long as you're not being socially inappropriate (such as, say, t…

Objectifying a person and viewing someone as sexy are two completely different lines of thinking. You can view someone as sexy and still view them as a person. Objectifying is the act of degrading (a person) to the status of a mere object. I feel like OP phrased his stance incorrectly. Wanting only sex from a person is fine, its when you view them as only a means for sex and not a human being that it becomes a problem. Also, its not my obligation to lower my sex appeal just so someone does not v…

Thats kind of a weird argument, especially after your argument in your post. Why would you get fired for using an employee for exactly what they were hired for? Also, how does one shame or reduce someone to only their "usefulness" or job? What are we defining as usefulness? They could be useful for several things, thus you wouldn't quite be reducing them to a singlular trait. Now I'm assuming you're trying to compare this to men getting fired over sexually objectifying a woman, and women not get…

I mean, isn't socializing at its core just reacting to people and their behavior? This is a sub centered around dating/sexual success strategies, and those involve socialization. If someone is doing or saying something that you dislike or perceive as negative, a normal response would be to react negatively (i.e., "be a cold bitch") to show that you do not appreciate their behavior or are not willing to accept their advances.

Why is it a bad teaching strategy? I remember us going up in groups to the whiteboard to try to solve problems in my programming class. I'm just curious what makes it bad.

How exactly are females who hit the wall mentally incels? From what I've studied, they usually have a pretty fufilling sexual life. Also, had to laugh at what you believe future leaders would allow. Maybe if they aren't in the western world, but no leader in modern society would try to implement laws to allow incels to effectly "control" older women. That would be political suicide to even suggest any law that would remotely resemble what you subscribe. Incels aren't owed anything. They are the …

I have a theory that incels are a side effect from overpopulation. Our populations are already too much of a strain on the planet. By having part of the population not breed, it helps keep population in check. Now that sounds callous, which it is, but I'm viewing this as the human species as a whole, not individual feelings. Yes, it sucks to be lonely, and I honestly feel sorry for people who feel like they can't find human connection. We are wired to crave and seek out human connection, so bein…
