If he gives me his money to purchase the gun, that's an illegal straw purchase. It doesn't matter whether he gives me the money up front or later, as purchasing with the intent to resell is still an illegal straw purchase. Working that out means managing equals doing, which is consistent with "planning and organizing is a full time job" point. In this case, isn't the simple solution for one person to manage the task and delegate all of the doing to the other person? That'd be equal and efficient.
