Exactly! I don’t need any more red flags to understand she’s not the right person to spend any minute on. However, the only difficulty I’m having is the idea of divorce. I did love her once and she also expressed she loved me but her actions always reflected otherwise.

We tried hard (no pun intended!) but were never able to conceive and she wasn’t willing to initiate the infertility work up AT ALL. (That’s another reason why we were at completely different mental wave lengths)

Wow! Best thing I’ve read all day today. Thanks a ton. Definitely food for thought. You’re right about leading part. I am a natural leader and she was very aware of this. It’s when I helped her become a leader too, is where I think I got defeated. I was wind under her wings. But when she learnt flying solo, I was no longer ‘needed’

Thanks for sharing. I’m in the same. I still am the definition of nice guy. All her friends and family like me. I struggle in the getting laid part. I’ve only slept with my long term relations (3 in 3 decades). The thought about randomly sleeping with some stranger frightens me unless I know them well. How do you go about finding people to get laid?

She would post pictures of how awesome her life is without me. She would go on vacations with parents and post pictures all over Facebook indicating with zero accountability. Then, I reconciled. Apologized and brought her back home. 3 months in, 3 mega wars later, she left again.

This! I solo travelled admist separation to clear my head and LOVED every second of it. I walked 25 km in Paris, took over night bus to Switzerland to staying at the hostels. Totally recommend changing your surroundings and enjoy life - your way!

Thanks for the detailed answer. We also had a kind of ‘post-nup’/ notarized affidavit before purchasing the property that we both signed basically mentioning where the downpayment came from and it is in no shape or form a joint property or ‘home’. Idk if that’d make it any less painful for me?
