that's totally understandable, it's a sick feedback loop :/ just pls don't forget that these places are hurting/killing you, and try to put in as much effort as you can afford to backing out. hope you figure things out

hey bud you gotta know that visiting subs like this isn't helping that feeling. try to think about the mental trajectory you've followed since you started browsing subs like this, and extrapolate it weeks, months, years out. not good. you deserve better.

her consciously walking behind a dumpster The only testimonial that attests to this is Turner's. No one else saw them leave together. Can I ask you what is the minimum that would constitute a reasonable doubt for you in this case? Considering two witnesses saw him copulating with an unconscious woman, then running away, and their stories matched in every detail, delivered separately, the only thing that would convince me that it wasn't rape is if the victim said she consented, and didn't want to…

To my understanding, the Swedes were detaining Turner for a pretty long time (neither of them can really remember how long), and Sinclair, Barnett, Robbins, and Bolton, who all found the girl alone (IIRC), found her while the Swedes were detaining him, and were unaware of the connection/their existence, depending on the witness.

Actually, Brock Turner admitted that he raped her, and requested a sentence of 5,000 years. Source? Lol, find it yourself, I'm not your clerk.

Are you going to link me to a source or just state your opinions? I'm failing to find a testimony by any witness claiming to see them leave. I think you're making it up. edit: It's fucking rich that you're telling me to do my "due diligence" which in this context means finding a source to support your baseless statement for you. edit again: I've done my "due diligence". I read the whole police report, again. There actually was one witness that claimed to see them walk away from the party: Brock …

That wouldn't be an omission of the report, that would be an omission of Bolton's. The report was thorough, its sources weren't.

You ought to do some due diligence before yapping. You might not have heard, but this recent sentence of his has caused a little bit of a splash. I'm familiar that he has a history of "going after" sex offenders, but it's pretty popular opinion that he dropped the ball on this one. So you appeal to the people that agree with you, I'll appeal to the people that agree with me, and you go fuck yourself before telling me to "do some due diligence", as if my opinion on subjective values (the reputati…

It is not questionable that sticking your fingers into an unconscious woman is a crime. If you're saying she was awake during the fingering, then she must be one tough/kinky chick, cause he tore her up on the inside. And she was fully unconscious when she was found, and Turner said he wasn't with her long. Let's say, for argument's sake, that she passed out, dead cold, while Turner was fingering her. So you you she sent straight from "Oh yeah, that's fine, you can finger me behind this dumpster"…

My point wasn't that that was what happened, just that we don't know what happened. Regarless, maybe she fell out before pissing. Maybe there was urine, it just wasn't noticed under all the pine needles reported in the police report. We could play "what if" as long as we want, but all we know is this: Turner was caught humping an unconscious woman behind a dumpster. He admitted to fondling, kissing, and fingering her. The SART confirmed digital penetration, because there were abrasions, lacerati…

She was probably moved as Turner took off I think it's more likely that Bolton, as mentioned on PR22 and PR23, rolled her over. Bolton says he found her with another guy standing over her shining a cell phone flash light on her. Bolton told the guy to roll her over, and got no response. He then got down to check her pulse, and, most probably (though not mentioned in Bolton's statement), roll her over.

The judge is known for fairness and did his job properly. Yeah, well, y'know that's just like, your opinion man. I know a lot of people that disagree. His job definition allows him discretion not only in sentencing but also in outright dismissal. And we're allowed to criticize him when we think his discretion sucks.

But she was conscious at least until the point at which she went behind the dumpster. source? If penetration happened before unconsciousness, no case. If after, felony assault. Can we agree on that construct? It doesn't matter, because he was caught in the act of sexually assaulting an unconscious girl. We know she wasn't conscious. Which, considering the lacerations, abrasions, and dirt found in her vagina during the SART, she'd be either a tough or kinky chick to have been awake.

That was probably Bolton. If you look at PR 23 of the police report, a guy named Bolton came upon the girl laying on the ground and a guy standing over her, shining a flashlight on her with a phone. This was probably after Jonsson and Arndt caught Turner, checked the girl on her back, and found her completely unresponsive. Anyway, Bolton asked the guy holding the phone if she was OK. He was ignored. He told the guy he should turn her on her side in case she pukes. He was ignored again. He got do…

You know why they didn't claim coercion? Because they didn't know. They had no way of knowing what went on after the victim arrived at the party, went outside to take a piss, and came back in. For all they know, she went outside to take another piss all alone. I know I'm pissing every ten minutes when I drink.

There was no mention of proof that he knew that Buddy, if this guy can't tell the difference between an all-there, bright-eyed and bushy-tailed girl, and an unconscious girl that can't move or respond to anything, maybe he has no business fucking drunk chicks in the first place. I don't see that as a defense. Irrelevant to consent. She was completely unconscious, hence consent was completely impossible. The only indisputably true item in your list. But running has never been proof of guilt, just…

she talked to the Swedes briefly before passing out. Source? Here's the complete police report. From what I glean, she was fully unconscious (which is in fact what alerted the Swedes in the first place), and remained unconscious until after her admission to the hospital.

The police report verifies that she was completely unresponsive until she was admitted to the hospital.

Well then first, he's doing his job incorrectly. The jury decides guilt, he decides punishment. Jury decided he was guilty, now the judge's job is to punish him as if he committed the crime, regardless of his personal beliefs. I also have to wonder how the judge thought this guy was innocent. Forget "SJW, PC media circuses", this guy was caught behind a dumpster humping an unconscious girl with her bra and panties removed and her dress hiked up to reveal her butt. When cornered, he ran away (whi…

She wasn't dragged behind a dumpster, there was a dumpster nearby. They were right next to the door they walked out of at the party. I never said otherwise, but I haven't seen anything indicating this. Source? She wasn't naked. She was in her dress and her panties were removed either by herself or him which is unknown. Her dress was hiked up down low and pulled down up top, and her bra and panties were removed. She was completely exposed. But I guess the dress around her midsection does make her…

I searched and couldn't find anything. I have seen people taking her impact statement out of context like this: So one year later, as predicted, a new dialogue emerged. Brock had a strange new story, almost sounded like a poorly written young adult novel with kissing and dancing and hand holding and lovingly tumbling onto the ground, and most importantly in this new story, there was suddenly consent. One year after the incident, he remembered, oh yeah, by the way she actually said yes, to everyt…

All the post says to me is [removed]. I think it was the internal lacerations, abrasions, and dirt found in her vagina (as mentioned in her impact statement), rather than the witness testimony, that was evidence for digital (at least) penetration.

I never said anything of the sort. I just don't get how you're going to conflate hooking up with someone at a party and sticking your fingers in an unconscious person behind a dumpster after stripping them naked, then taking off sprinting when someone sees you. That's literally what this guy did to some woman, and you feel bad for him? And I'm the one with gendered empathy? You'll have to explain this one to me, cause I don't get it.

Tell me what the judge knows that the jury doesn't. It just amazes me that a guy was caught humping an unconscious girl behind a dumpster, ran off when people saw him, and all it takes is one person out of thirteen to say "Eh, he looks like a good guy" for you to think the whole thing is a farce.
/r/MensRights07/06/16 10:45 PM

Well, for many, fortunately including courts of law, two people testifying about catching someone behind a dumpster fingerbanging and humping an unconscious chick (which is illegal), then having to chase that person down when they run off is decent proof.

Lack of scars consistent with dragging. source? Are you seriously suggesting that she didn't walk there herself? I'm suggesting that I don't know what happened, and I'm not just going to assume something without a source. For all we know, she walked to the dumpsters alone and passed out. Or maybe the dude did drag her. We just don't know.

That's exactly what all the people outraged at the sentence want to know. It is known that the judge is a Stanford alumni, and was captain of the lacrosse team. Here are some more quotes from the judge on the light sentence, lifted from this article: Obviously, the prison sentence would have a severe impact on him. The defendant is youthful and has no significant record of prior criminal offenses. There is less moral culpability attached to the defendant who is … intoxicated The media attention …

Because it establishes a long timeline of interaction starting at the party with her and her sister, The impact statement was unclear as to whether or not the victim was with her sister when Brock kissed her sister. and ending with her going willingly under her own power to the back of a dumpster with this dude that was acting very sexually aggressive. source?

Lesson to everyone that I'm this rape culture hooking up at parties fingerbanging an unconscious girl behind a dumpster and running away when someone sees you is very very dangerous.

Well then the judge is mishandling the case. That's not the judge's call. The jury decides whether or not he committed the crime, and the judge decides how that crime should be punished. The jury decided that there was sufficient evidence to convict, now it's the judge's job to sentence him as if he is guilty. Also, I'm pretty sure you're speculating as to the judge's motivations. The only thing I've seen him explicitly say about the light sentence was that he didn't want the punishment to have …

sigh Because, believe it or not, people will just go on the internet and tell lies. She admits to being physically receptive to being fingered on the dance floor (despite claiming that she hated it), This is completely false. I've seen this pop up all over this sub, and it's twisting her words to fit a narrative. I'm inclined to believe that whoever started this lie did so intentionally, as it's pretty much impossible to read what was actually said and come to that conclusion independently. Here…

He literally got caught sexually assaulting an unconscious girl behind a dumpster and got six months and probation. I think sexually assaulting an unconscious person should carry a heavier sentence than getting caught with a bag of weed.

what's the difference in the stamford case? because it's a college setting somehow makes it so much more outrageous? Well, in your story, they were a couple, there was consent, and the boyfriend didn't want to press charges on the girlfriend. In the Stanford story, there wasn't consent, it was a total stranger, behind a dumpster, and she did want to press charges. remember, in her own story, the stamford accuser said at one time that she consented to a fingering. No she didn't. You drank the Koo…
