This kind of thinking only applies in America and Italy (and maybe also Turkey and Hungary?), and that's because they're countries that elected literal fascists into power based on popular sentiment. The conservative thinking in every other part of the developed world is that Trump, MAGA and fascism sucks great big donkey balls and should not be allowed to run society in any way. The current French and German governments are centre-right and those governments are both two of the most vocal oppon…

If we make sex work fully legal and de-stigmatized, it allows the police and legal system to deal with bad and abusive clients on a level where they can actually face very real consequences for how they treat sex workers. This is a point that I feel like nowhere near enough people are making. This reminds me of that behavioural study somebody once did on young kids where they gave one boy in a group of boys a toy everyone wanted and then one girl in a group of girls a toy that everyone wanted. The boys would fight the boy who had the toy they wanted to get it, while the girls would socially exclude the girl who had the toy so that she felt bad about having the toy.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
