You keep repeating the same, just using euphemisms to make it sound better. Like all you want is to write a blog on tumblr to inspire your readers to stop being misogynistic. Well, here's an example: An anti-christian comedian makes an offhand joke on twitter, something about rape and how all women are stupid and ask for it. A safety council is created to delete any future comments like this, bunch of internet warriors start a phone & mail campaign to make sure all comedian's planned anti-christ…

you can't address every manifestation of racism, misogyny or whatever at once unless you get rid of the thoughts beliefs behind them Since nobody is policing thoughts, mostly because it is impossible, you have no reason to be scared. Which one is it then? Damn, you are an evil person. This is what I read: "Misogynistic joke on twitter can lead to mass rapes of women. Culture and institutions created to censor jokes can lead to nothing bad."

I just cannot understand how someone can think racist and misogynist opinions are scarier than policing thoughts and beliefs on a large scale. Don't you people have priorities?

I notice that happening a lot. Unfortunately for our discussion, he could have made it up completely - just for the purposes of his threat, not honestly thinking about suicide.

If I understand correctly, those suicidal thoughts would not be necessarily connected to the breakup itself. That emotional pain could stem from a different source and have the same effect. An interesting perspective, though it is strange something as natural and fairly common as a breakup causes so much emotional pain. Like it is something unexpected for a man to go through in his life.

You have a good point about divorces and custody battles. What I was getting at, there are breakups where men face none of those problems. And they still feel like committing suicide, which is baffling. In these LTR cases, men probably gained a lot of free time, saved some money and are free to socialize with other women. Yet they are torturing themselves with emotions to the point of suicide?

This is what you want the encounter to look like: They are alone. They are forced to sleep in a single bed. She tells him he is not allowed to touch her. She wakes up to him pressing on her with his weight while kissing her. She freezes/plays along to not get raped. Now spot differences to original story. You call everyone's analogy imperfect, but you milk the fact he got "on top of her" and "kissed her" like that was some kind of unprecedented violent assault. And how exactly is kissing while o…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
