Have you seen Orange is the New Black? I absolutely couldn't watch it because it absolutely embodies your observation. I got so pissed off with the constant theme of "women are just in prison because of misunderstandings and bad luck. Most of them are really just victims." I can tell why he was elected. From the statements provided, it seems like he was an extremely politically-minded, level guy who wanted to do something for equality. I can understand not wanting a male as the head officer of a women's organization (wouldn't be any more okay with a female heading a male organization) but the harsh backlash certainly seems pedantic and uncalled for.

I disagree. The existence of defiance does not mean the absence of fear. I'm pretty sure even a feminist would agree with that. Also, as far as "none of those dudes are crying out of fear..." I would say that those with him chained to the face, him having that skin stretched over him, as well as the ones with powerful death scenes are all articulating a compromised, fearful, and at times heartbroken Batman. Which perfectly refutes the original accusation.

Pretty interesting. As a college student who transferred from one university with a greek system to one without it, I can say definitively that I liked being at the school without it more. I had a buddy who used to be an Abercrombie Model. We all pick our battles, and while I agree with everything you said, I'm gonna have to point out the obvious: someone making statements on FB using grammatically incorrect, eCard-esque lines fixed around a picture of a Minion (for some reason) aren't exactly going to be receptive to really clear-cut logic.
