I think you did alright. Two things I would avoid though are so much teasing over text. Text isn't verbal and she can't see you so it could come off as trying too hard if she doesn't interpret the joke the way you meant it. Probably harmless this time, but dial it back a bit. Just don't force teasing to come out. It shows. Second...don't buy the wine on the first date. Or the second.

I'd advise getting good at one really easy to make dish. Do something to make it your own. Get so good eventually you don't need a recipe. I use chili. I've been making it for years but everytime I cook it I always try something new and announce this fact. Chili is also great cuz there's enough work to do where you can do some of it together which is a good interaction opportunity in the close quarters of a kitchen. I don't mean to imply anything about your personality, but I've had experience with this as I'm sure many in this sub have. Take what I say as speaking in generalities. I find a light toke on a one hitter (say the ones disguised as cigarettes) get me in the perfect zone before heading to a bar or someplace like that. I'm just looser and usually clearer in my thinking and making connections in my brain.
