I think the difference is just approach. I totally agree that we do in fact treat girls differently based on what we're into, but that if we plan on getting over starting random conversations with a hot girl, we need to get over the fact that hey... this is a really hot girl. What I mean by approach is that we shouldn't imagine a hot girl being ugly or fat, but rather that she's just another girl, yes special in her own way, but not something that should be worshiped. I usually just go up to someone and (I know seddit is against complimenting as an opener), but I may say something about her shoes. In actuality, I really do notice shoes a lot, so if they stand out, it's very genuine from me. That's the really important part, that whatever you say is authentic and not some prepared line. Obviously this isn't a good tactic all the time, but it always seems like girls I go for have something that I genuinely find cool on them.
