I didn't say the whole reason. I was wondering if it contributed to it. It seems to me, that in addition to smoking, drinking and greater likelihood to take part in risky behavior, being less likely to go to the doctor could contribute to earlier death. Is it that much of a logical leap?

Any idea as to why we are getting downvoted? Both of us are expressing opinions. I just wish people would read reddiquette.

Could this be part of the reason that women live longer than men? If that were true, the government is prioritizing the life of one gender over another. Discrimination.
