To be polarizing early. Getting to a "no" is almost as good as getting to a "yes" - it frees your time to do something else. It's also much easier to set up the relationship as romantic early on, than it is to start as friends and then move things to romance.

> good relationships are founded on prior long-lasting friendships. This is not a bad advice at all, but the version of it that was given to you is plain sick and manipulative. Good relationships really can be founded in prior friendships, if you respect that literally, in particular the _prior_ thing. I.e. If you actually are friends with somebody, and manage to transition that to a relationship. The way you understood this (and from what you're saying the way your church wanted you to understa…

Yeah, currently it's the best we have. But the title gave me 20 seconds of hope that somebody managed to improve on that :)

I'm a bit disappointed in the graph. After reading the title I hoped it would be extra info to disentangle the two main effects: knowledge per se, as the title teased; and years in the education system, which I suspect has a strong progressive and anti-natalist bias pretty much everywhere. I'd be very interested in any clarifying studies.

There was a comment above about the cute cashier at McDonald's. It's true. As a LTR, and probably as a hookup as well. I would definitely prefer hiring the late 30s women, and I might even enjoy chatting with them in a group setting, but for dating, there isn't even a competition. For one thing men really discriminate based on age. For another, there's a very practical question: why are they single? If you start dating a random 25yo there's probably a 50-50 chance that she's open to marriage and…

I think gay men do have somewhat high expectations? I don't know the scene directly, but I understand that being young and attractive is a huge advantage and it goes away fast if you lose either.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/07/25 07:21 AM

And yet half the top voted comments in this thread go ahead with justifying hate. Though in truth I don't think they deny that "hate breeds hate", they just don't care.

Read a study a while back, too long ago to look for it, but one of the top turnoffs on first dates was when the man was paying attention to other women. On the other hand, it's also well known that women do like men "with bitches". Either in a relationship (ideally with a ring) or players. So how do you square that peg? Both are true - or both have to be true to maximize attraction. The peg was square all along.

I fuck them good by their own words but they dont wanna see me again. How can i fix that. Maybe don't ask them how good you fucked them :D It's soft, a turnoff and does give the bad kind of golden retriever energy. Just to be clear, it's NOT about fucking them good, nor about asking for the occasional specific feedback (I swear there are no two women that are alike in how they like their clit rubbed). But asking for feedback in general is something that's only for your ego, and is usually a pret…

First two aren't really necessary, or just a matter of taste. Fat is... relative, depends on how both of you manage to handle this. "shit behind your back" is just common courtesy. The last one is the big one... And for the record, I actually like to provide regardless. It just feels natural to me, there doesn't need to be a trade or a negotiation. (That's why I tend to gravitate towards sugar dating). But long term there has to be effort on her part as well, otherwise you just feel yourself tak…

There was a pretty nice (and well replicated) study that asked couples to rate, as a percentage, how much hey did themselves from the house chores. 50%, 60%, 20% etc. What's fascinating is that for almost all the couples, successful or not, the total was over 100%. If you want to have any hope for things to work, you have to set out to do 55% for each equal split situation. This is how it works. If you don't, if you always wait for the other party to reach first and validate your experiences, yo…

I think if that’s all RP was, then there wouldn’t be much debate. The rest of it comes from lived bad experiences. Which should not be swept under the rug, either, because they're valid. RP wouldn't be as popular as it were otherwise. My guess is that it's the stark difference between what we learned as children about romance and what we discovered when we got our feet wet. All the niceties, all the "be yourself", "there's somebody for you", "you're perfect" (from the mother), all of it coupled …

Trump administration has shown pretty clearly that the emperor was naked, and any attempt to go back to the days of mandatory DEI and canceling for stupid shit will just sound hollow. (of course, Trump administration also seems quite happy to show that their way is retarded. I have fingers crossed so hard they're getting blue, but so far I can't say if in the end they'll be proved right or proved idiots.).

Meh, I'm blackpilled for quite a few years. Not much they can do to me. I just occasionally hear the lyrics and feel briefly irritated. Plus only some of it is over the top feminism, I don't mind the occasional "girl power" - hell, I rewatched Buffy several times. On the other hand, I always cringe at "picket fence dream".

The only time I didn't have sex when the girl said we're not going to have sex was when I burst out laughing and told her that this is the best sign ever that it's going to happen. She got offended and hold out, but you could tell she really really wanted to.

If we were talking about Michelin chefs, maybe. But ordinary chefs tend to be women too. This asks for a more complex explanation. (and no, discrimination shouldn't be the go-to answer either)

Again, I'm pointing you to female users in this tag using pill tags. Or are you going to blame "patriarchy" for women's actions? I entered the conversation in a very benign, intellectual way. I admit purplepilldebate is way better than other avenues for CW, but it's still far too unfriendly for me to stick around.

I said "masculine", not "male". We're talking about stereotypical masculine and feminine qualities. 10% understanding, 90% attack. Bleagh. You're welcome to the conversation.

Joan d'Arc also existed. Doesn't mean that tailoring was seen as a particularly masculine profession. Chefs are pretty interesting, and probably worth a whole conversation thread. Most family cooking was done by women (except, universally, Sunday grilling), but most commercial cooking was done by men. Fascinating topic, and probably touches some very real discrimination in what work options were available to women.

Look at this comment thread :) The most amount of "knots" I see are from a commenter tagged as Blue Pill Woman. Either way, I don't put much investment in CW anymore, other than mostly intellectual conversation. I've gone the blackpill route a decade ago.

You mentioned sewing, cleaning and cooking. Competence in those domains was traditionally seen as feminine ("good woman"), while being able to earn an above average paycheck, change tires and fix faucets made you a "good man". The only difference nowadays is that we don't separate them anymore, and then we tie ourselves in knots about what masculinity means :D
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 03:20 PM
6

This reminds me of a point I saw (here?) that there is no room for non-toxic masculinity anymore, because normal masculinity has been redefined to just mean competence. In which case yeah, gun-totting nascar-loving just becomes a niche fetish for women who happen to like overly masculine men.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/04/25 03:11 PM
20

Does it? It makes me think of women saying they don't like muscles, and giving bodybuilders at peak contest shape as examples. I find it a lot more likely that you don't like gun-totting nascar fans, but don't really mind if a guy knows how to change a tire or fixes his own faucet instead of calling a plumber. That's the same as "real muscle" vs "for show, completely unrealistic and caricatural muscle"

We evolved in small tribes, with far less competition than today. Having oneitis for somebody meant doing your best to conquer them, which probably gave you well over 50% chance to succeed. Limerance usually happens when the other person expresses at least some interest. This means little in a modern high-school, but in a tribe of 200 with a competition of maybe 3? All you have to do is not fuck it up. And obsessing about them is a pretty safe way to avoid that.

I could argue back and say that's exactly what I meant. But I'm feeling a bit contrarian due to that "silly" and I'll argue instead that you do get to keep your partner in a more direct sense than just vows: reputation. A divorced women was a lot less marriageable the second time around. And even a man who fucked up one marriage will have a significantly harder time to find the next. Widows and widowers where respected - divorcees weren't.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/23 02:32 PM

Just a guess, but maybe the Culture War got too overt? Back then there wasn't a sense of "us vs them", it was just, you know, men trying to find their way and realizing that things they learned in their childhood don't apply 100% in real life. Now... we're a quarantined sub and you can get canceled for even mentioning some of this stuff. Personally, I'm between blackpilled and giving up. 44m here. Not enjoying the situation, but it is what it is. It's not like I have a choice to have a successful family just by snapping my fingers, and going back into serious dating is... not really appealing. I'd have to restructure my life around it (likely move to a bigger city) and gamble for what past experience and looking around taught me are pretty long odds.

I mean, it's a matter of taste so I can't convince you in particular to like older men if you don't. But objectively, there are differences. There's little that women can do that makes them look better with age, other than surgery. Skill with makeup and fashion sense are probably the two big ones, and women learn those much earlier than men, so it's unlikely there's much left to improve in their 30s. Men on the other hand are quire different. For example if they simply go regularly to the gym, t…

Uh.. are you maybe responding to another comment? I said nothing about having all the ropes early on in life. I did say that women should definitely consider a much more rounded approach when choosing partners. Definitely not _un_attractive, where did you get that impression? Any 27 year old man can still look better at 37 with minimal effort, and better still at 47 with moderate/high effort. A woman looking better at 47 is called Tina Turner, and goes in the history books.

There's another element involved. You can't just marry a guy when you're young: you have to chose the right guy to marry when you're young. AKA as a woman, don't go for the players or men likely to leave you, but pick the kind of guy which sticks to you. The "deal" which men are still educated from youth to follow is: be a good guy, be the best you can be, be faithful, and you'll have a beautiful wife and a great family. Many (most?) men still want this, but the women broke it first. Nowadays yo…

It depends on where you are on the scale. An improvement from 8 to 9 has exponentially more bang for the buck than an improvement from 3 to 5, even though the latter may be twice as hard. I.e., going from "fit" to "6 pack" is a lot better than going from 40% body fat to 30% body fat. I'm assuming everybody here already knows the theory behind that (both men and women grade on a bell curve, but the women curve is shifted so they basically think they match with guys 2-3 points higher than them). Not sure what so say other than that I disagree with all three points. The second is honestly funny - you can say with a straight face that being hot has no implications on relationship dynamics? On either gender? Also the last point is a bait and switch that I really dislike. If you're saying that physical force is a significant factor in relationships, please say it. Don't just drop implications or act as if it's obvious. Not sure how things are in UK, but in the wild west of Eastern Europe I …

I've never gotten the whole "if she is younger, he has more power in the relationship" thing. I've often asked about it on reddit and got a lot of hand waving and particular cases. Somebody in this thread said "it's easier for her to become dependent on you". That's like... an edge case. How often do relationships actually get to one part being dependent on another? We're talking marriage or as good as marriage. 10%? 3%? And even in that case, OP has a damn good point: the young vulnerable woman…

But not with the most SMV. Which is the market we're discussing here. It's the same if you were saying that a sexy young women is hot, so she probably can go far in programming. Or arm wrestling. Different domains, different power ladders. When it comes to relationships, being hot and desirable is what matters, not "social, economic and physical". How exactly does it help you if you're physically strong?

That argument is completely symmetrical and therefore useless in this particular debate. Both genders could chose to remain forever single and yet they don't. You could only conclude that all predatory relationships are a myth.

Politeness sex? It comes from the fact that sex isn't really a big deal for a guy, and rejection is often a big deal for a girl. For example as a guy you have a tinder date, and when she shows up she's... let's say the tinder pictures were very flattering. But the date itself is not horrible, you reasonably click, you have a couple of drinks. At the end it's easier to go for the "one night stand" scenario, rather than "I'm sorry, this isn't working for me" scenario, even if the reality is that i…

It's actually more complicated that it seems, as you yourself noted. Relevant to your situation it might be that there is such a thing as politeness sex, which I've actually done before. Sex for men can be pretty casual, and sometimes it's easier/nicer to just follow the script and end up in the bedroom than to find ways to exit. I'd firmly put this in a different category than pity sex, which I don't think I did. Also we will lower our standards for casual sex, sometimes significantly. This cov…

If you know a bit of psychology this makes a lot of sense. People make decisions first, and only then think up reasons for their decisions. This sounds weird, but it is the way humans function. Not just in relationships, but in most situations. So your brain decides to stay with or leave somebody, with whatever internal processes it uses. Then a friend or even yourself will ask why, and the brain will think up and supply a reason for its decision, then promptly hallucinate that it was that reaso…

Probably not something that's going to be mentioned, but: put some effort into appearing prude. Research actually does say that a promiscuous and alcohol fueled lifestyle is bad for female personal happiness, but this is not what this thread is about. If you intend to get into a relationship and keep the guy - at least act a bit more like your grandma at the same age. Less talk about exes, longer skirts, no sex on the first date, no girls nights out... the whole deal.

You can share positive anecdotes (NEVER complain about exes, it's a red flag), but do it in a way that doesn't build up to a big story. Don't name names and dates, and it'll not be obvious if you're talking about 3 LTRs or 20 hookups. "A gentleman doesn't kiss and tell" is usually very well received. Have a policy of not discussing too intimate details and make it clear that it's a policy thing.

You miss-spelled "greatest". Cocky funny is exactly the right response for this, especially on the first date. It's too early to get into heavy relationship shit, and in my experience, first date(s) will suffer greatly if you start talking about past lovers. It's supposed to be about the two of you. IF you talk about exes, at least be positive.

This is a good point, and I'll remember it. However, there are two mitigating factors that make this less significant: men do rate attractiveness on a normal distribution (lots of "ok looking", many "cute", a few "wow"), while women only have a wow/meh scale. This is very well supported by data from dating apps. I was actually thinking about this recently: pretty much the only thing girls need in order to be attractive is be young. Maybe 10% of young girls are not attractive. This changes a lot …

This is actually an argument they enjoy ONSs more than men. Men have no reasons not to go for one, very little possibility of regret (with a condom), no cultural restrictions, nothing. Women have higher possibility of regret, almost always cultural and social inhibitions, higher possible downside if no condom (both easy to catch STDs and more responsibility in case of pregnancy) and so on. And yet - they go for ONSs.

Last year I've dated mostly through sugar dating sites. Cuts down a lot of the bullshit, I can afford the occasional spoiling, and I'm not looking for something serious anyway. But that's not the point: with all the girls I've seen, not a single one had her biological father raising her properly. I'm in Eastern Europe btw, where divorce is pretty rare. Definitely. I think I would have gone the same route anyways, but it made it easier. I'm adding this tip here, since the rest of the thread below isn't very constructive: if you wear shirts, always pull the sleeves to show your arms. Also, this is probably well know and you should be slim anyways, but dark colors make you look slimmer and white makes you big. To get out of this trap you have to define what "Free Will" means in advance. Is it freedom from outside influences? Is it possibility to change? Is it a homunculus inside your brain that makes decisions? We're naturally evolved computers with massive functional parallel architecture. Of course in some parts of the brain you'll see signs of the "decision" before the whole brain gets around to actually making a decision. 40ish guy's perspective here. I was chubby around 30, and got it in my head to have a sixpack by 40 - which I will. I'm reasonably sure I'll keep getting better for at least 15 years. Partly gym, but a lot is well invested money - stuff like getting your teeth whitened and straightened, thicker hair, small blemishes fixed etc. Look at pictures of Elon Musk now and 10 years ago. This stuff is not that expensive, surprisingly, but it does take having a decent career and following through. What's r…

What about lifting? Where is lifting? A generic thought: Nassim Taleb is not an alpha. Taleb got threatened by a "fan" some years back. Thought about hiring a full time bodyguard. Started lifting instead.

There's such a thing as being a defeatist. Especially in the light of a previous post saying people are having better sex in a LTR, we could use some practical advice besides the usual "women are evil". If they're that bad, well what are you still doing here? Monk mode and hookers should be plenty. Some of us, probably most of us still want some form of having repeat encounters with a woman. So monsieurhire2 is being extremely relevant and on topic here.

Fats won’t make you fat, carbs will This is simply not true. Low-carb vs low-fat is a long discussion. If you really want to summarize it, safest is: "depends on your genetics, but neither is significantly better at weight loss". Counting calories is the only reliable thing, and once you start doing it you quickly realize you can make a whole pot of stew (including protein) which has about as many calories as the splash of olive oil you put on top. Fat is a luxury when cutting. A few approximati…

That's not strange at all, btw. Biologically we're programmed to be completely unattracted sexually to people we knew in the first three years of life. This includes parents, brothers/sisters, friends etc. People born in the same generation in an Israeli kibutz will almost never marry one another. Take that away and what remains is personal taste and social taboos - the latter of which can also add to the excitement. It's not something I'd recommend, but it's far from unusual.

Senecca is underated btw. Aurelius is required reading, but in later books it gets a bit too much about death. Senecca knew how to live even as an old men. Helped that he was possibly the richest bastard that ever lived.

Fuck the scale. Never step on a scale. The mirror is your scale. Science says dieters who measure their weight every morning lose more weight and keep it off better. This being said, if you also lift then the scale is meaningless. At best it's fail-safe to make sure you don't gain weight a lot faster then you gain muscle.

Honestly, I think Senecca is a better pick. Marcus Aurelius is just too damn dark sometimes. But I'd still recommend everyone to read at least the first 2 books.

I still am a feminist, I guess. I come from an ex-communist country, which means I grew up with the stuff of legends: practical gender equality, non-religious society, free education and health care etc. The idea of somebody not having an education or a career because of gender is just something that didn't even occur to me until I was almost an adult, and I'll never be able to internalize it. Whatever goes for feminism nowadays though is just postmodern entitlement bullshit.

But what I want to ask the group is: how does this principle of sexuality (with which I broadly agree) reconcile with the observation that being aloof - that is to say, withholding attention and the expression of desire - is a better sexual strategy for men? There is a standard answer to this, AFAIK. What's needed is not aloofness or desire, but doubt. If the woman (or man for that matter) is sure of the other guy's feelings one way or another - passion goes poof.

Seriously, why would any woman want to be with a man who can't satisfy her in bed? Who said you can't satisfy a woman in bed? It's probably your lack of experience speaking here. Sex is messy and disorderly and involves much less pounding then you'd think by watching porn. There are probably dozens of ways to satisfy women without even using your dong. It's about the experiences, not about age. For example I've always found a drastic difference between before-college and first year college. Purpose matters. If she's looking for a fling, flirting, sex etc, ofc the looks will play a huge role. If/when she's looking for a husband or LTR - looks are nice to have. I'd dare say dating sites and possibly the age of the girls in that experiment are massively biased towards STR.

We don't approve of that here. You can't change attitude with a pill (well, you can, but that's another discussion), so this isn't really productive advice. There seems to be a common sense answer that doing something to expert level is a reward in itself. But honestly, I don't see it that way. Then don't. There are quite a few shitty things you can do to a girl that's attracted to you - and I hope you won't do them - but making her choices for her is exactly like a white knight saving a girl who doesn't ask to be saved. I did that in the past, and in the clear light of hindsight I realized "the talk" is much closer to a shit test than anything else - and even when it's not, hooking up with the girl would have done more good then harm. tl;dr: don't lie, and give her a good time.

By all means, keep calling TRP's shit. God knows it's needed. I do think though that the cases don't compare very well. As they age, the difference will be greater and greater. At 35 the phd student will start knowing what it's like being a successful man, while she'll be 45 and close to retiring. The reverse is somewhat better - in 10 years he'll be 51 and she'll be hitting the wall. Both looking for peace and family.

You make a lot of assumptions. Exactly. In the example you mentioned, we knew the girl was older, very overweight and uneducated, because she told us. Since we don't know anything specific about this particular case, we should revert to baseline. On average, 21 girls are quite attractive, and 41 guys who can easily pass for 35 and can land 21 year old girls are not losers. We could be wrong, but without any other info to go to - that's the baseline.

It's a fine balance. I've tried it in /relationships and even in /tbp. As long as you keep the dosage low enough and keep the tone friendly, you can still inject some RP. Couldn't do anything in /srs though. That place is a madhouse. Gave me nightmares.

You've been listening to /r/thebluepill too much. You're friends (and you bang), she needs a favor - you can do it if you want. Not every single nice thing you do for a woman is blue pill. It's been said many many times: power is amoral. RP gives you the knowledge and awareness of consequences. Will giving your friend a ride often enough erode your FWB relationship? Yeap. But you're a grown man.

Like I said, we're not much in contact anymore (mostly because our social circles diverged some years ago), so there is no issue of the friendship being worth it or not. It's just that I have an occasion to unplug somebody. He actually expects this conversation and is not unwilling to have it, so it's not as if I'm bringing this up one sided. It's just that I can't really think of a good strategy that has a good chance to make (even a small) difference long term, therefore my asking for suggesti…

I think in the last paragraph lies the problem. Actually this is pretty much the approach I was thinking of - try to approach the problem from an evolutionary psychology point of view, and force him to accept that the truth is different from what he thinks it is. But I don't think it will work. I've been thinking lately - being a good beta is something that until maybe 50 years ago was an evolutionary success. You had some chance to raise an alpha's child by mistake, but overall you'd probably f…

The ground rule is to never compliment the looks - if you must, you can compliment something she put effort in, like choice of clothes. A good pattern is to take her out for a date, or some event where she dresses up. You pick her up and say absolutely nothing. She will notice, and start obsessing on what's wrong. Wait for the proper time and compliment her looks. She'll go all melty inside. Another good use for compliments is as a reward.

and I'm trying to build a relationship And you'll get a relationship. A very solid, nice, comfortable platonic relationship with zero attraction. You don't build attraction, and definitely not the way you try to build regular relationships. Lovers are not friends, they're something else altogether. They're what she and her FWB are. Getting along well is ... not helpful, nor counterproductive... simply irrelevant. If by any chance she's already attracted to you, you're a lucky guy. It may happen.…

On average, man and women have almost equal capabilities. However, statistics is a bitch: with the same average, men have a much broader range of performance, both ways. There are a lot more retarded (and all around stupid) guys, but on the other hand quite a lot more geniuses too. Part of the whole reproducing strategy: most women will have two children, but most men won't. Historically they either had less then two, even none, or won the jackpot and had plenty. So it pays for the genes to take…

You work out way too much. Best workout is one that fucks up your muscles so much that you can feel them weak 2-3 days after. Best workout for a normal guy is: warmup, then lift close to your max move slowly, measure time under load instead of repetitions use movements that involve lots of muscle groups, like squats. do it once or twice a week. If you want performance, use alternate days for alternate muscles, but I still wouldn't recommend more then one workout every other day.

shrug maybe not "doesn't apply at all", but still, the matter of survival is moot. Children don't literally starve anymore without a father, and there's actually a minority of women who have children as a money-making career (child support, welfare etc). A farmer's daughter 700 years ago, or a hunter gatherer's girl simply did not have those options - getting married was a must, and in that climate it paid to be a good beta or a white knight. It's bad to not be alpha regardless of the climate. T…

Almost by definition alphas are rare I didn't get that memo. I was alluding to mate preselection. You're popular if you're popular, you're sexy if other women think you're sexy. Doesn't really work if a majority are alpha. As for the pua craze... It'll end up polarizing the market. Actually I see it more like an evolutionary adaptation made obsolete by a changing environment. For 99.99% of our genetic history having sex meant having children, and for those children to survive you need two parents. Which means women had to pick a mate to help them raise those children, even if the first one (and quite possibly others along the way) was conceived with an alpha. Almost by definition alphas are rare, so the safe choice for our genes was to secure a wife and conceive most of he…

Women fear cheating because it deprives them of resources - which incidentally means they really hate "emotional cheating". Men fear cheating because they may end up raising another's kid - so they go nuts when there's an chance of things getting physical. If cheating already happened, for men it's over - worst already happened, so it's better if at least it's a better looking guy, But all in all, not much differenc…

And yet as women claim their place in the culture institution will get more and more feminized. There are good parts - as competition goes down so will conflict, and eventually war - but to put it mildly, efficiency will start to suck. Plus things will feel more and more suffocating for men, and most won't even know why. Trp itself is probably just an (over?counter?)reaction to that. Baumeister went ahead and wrote the book he mentions in the article. Ended up keeping the title of the talk (here is the kindle edition), and it actually goes a lot deeper down the rabbit hole. Well, read Baumeister's everything, he's brilliant, but anyways, decision making depends a lot on something called "ego depletion", which is more or less related to glucose levels in the brain. We diverged from the chimpanzee some 6 million years go. Babylon started using silver as a very primitive form of money some 3000 years ago. Until then, there was no concept of "rich". Just a quick comment, since TheReddPill is supposed to be grounded in evolutionary science. "Money" didn't exist when humans evolved, and probably neither did valuable items. From a biological point of view it makes much more sense for women to be attracted to status then to income. And when they're attracted to the latter it's mostly because having lots of money gives somewhat higher status in our society. I think "slutty" is referring more to attitude and values then to actually physical sex. You treat them like you would treat anyone else. It's... difficult. Interacting openly with somebody means taking what they do and say at face value, at least most of the time. But the girls OP is describing tend to judge every interaction from an "attention=value" perspective. They won't be mad/cold/angry/friendly/cheerful/grateful for reasons anyone else will be, so it's pretty hard to treat them as such.
/r/TheRedPill04/01/14 11:29 AM

It is exactly like this, and the evolutionary explanations is very straightforward: women can usually fill their quota of children simply by "being there", while men can go from dying childless (quite often) and up to Genghis Han who ended up being a common ancestor for most of Asia. And men show this by taking a lot more chances - both biologically and behaviorally. Men have more muscle mass but shorter lifespan. More chance of being geniuses - and also to be born with mental retardation. They …

The reason here is a bit more complicated (and potentially touchy). If you take a bell curve of pretty much any performance criteria, a men's curve will be flatter, with more men at either end (both very good and very bad), while a women's curve will be a lot sharper - most women will be clustered in the middle. What it means is that among better [anything], from money-makers to chess players, you'll find more men. Of course, so will you among worst [anything]. The second half of the discussion …

In more traditional societies women cheating leads invariably to violence. Think Middle East, for example, or Balkans. Also there is a big difference between attitude pre-marriage and post. Before marriage women have a strong incentive to dump a cheating man, as there is a high probability in the long run he won't devote all his resources to her. After commitment there is little harm in his occasional affairs, as long as her status as a wife is not threatened. Which matches with the attitude in …

Because, dear feminist, a woman with a 5 year old boy can not have intercourse, and so by many definitions cannot have sex. "molested" might have been a better word, but sex definitely has to be in quotes. Also the kid doesn't remember anything, and (depending on the specific circumstances) may have interpreted anything as just play. The trial on the other hand would certainly have been traumatic.
